Is it help? I moved to states 9 months ago and I am trying to improve my language skills. I started to read English books and listen at the same time. I hope it will help me :)
Hi there! Welcome to my channel - so nice to hear that you enjoy my videos :) So funny - I did the exact same thing in order to improve my English: I read and listened at the same time! You could even go one further and read on the kindle app on your phone (while listening on audible) - in the kindle app you can highlight things in different colours: I used one colour for new words -> these words I would then make into flash cards later on. A few other things that helped me a lot were: (1) book clubs, (2) watching only English shows on Netflix (3) DeepL.com (4) grammarly (I still use both websites/tools at work haha). I hope that's somehow helpful - you got this!
