Awesome to see the variety of pet-related games on the horizon ☺ The pixel art in Morsels is incredible, especially when combined with that tasty CRT filter ✨ And thanks for showcasing Petal Runner, really excited for when you'll finally be able to play it... guess I should get back to work then! 😅
In a vein of unorthodox creature collectors, I want to add Patch Quest. This game is something. Not only you collet creatures, you also collect plants and biomes and there's a base management and Metroidvania-inspired gated interconnected map, and there are tons and tons of creatures.
Mythmon is one I started recently. It's in open beta rn. I'm really enjoying the character design, and am looking forward to more aspects being included. It has all the groundworks of a city builder too, but no buy/sell/storage option yet, just moving around what's already there. I forget the name, but one of the wolf looking ones stole my heart...he won't give it back, and I need that...
It's not new anymore, and it's only barely a creature collector, but 24 Killers is a weird yet unique title that may be of interest to some people. Nothing really quite like it. However, no demo, and I'm personally not a fan of the later gameplay loop (repetitive) so be sure you want to commit. In reference to the question of games similar to Wobbledogs: there is a Curiosity Archive video called something along the lines of "Using Video Games to Simulate Evolution" which may mention some titles of interest.
I think ooblets kind of fits this vibe too! Kinda pokemon-y, kinda deck builder-y, kinda farming sim-y, you grow and take care of little guys and then do dance battles with them!
I mean real gamedevs (no offense). Even as a hobbyist you must know that game concept lies in defined mechanics prone to some objective through interaction. For example, simulations are not games, even tho there is interaction. It's not a matter of opinion, it's facken science (but internet is free so fuck everything i said by far)
@@anumpreto Yeah. I don't think even proper paid gamedevs would get offended by a joke XP I do wonder if my Playable Fictions are games if there's only one or two puzzles or a bunch of choices. I think visual novels with puzzles are more gamey, like Another Code XD
I have truly molded my recommendation algorithm to perfection when I get recommended gems like these

I would recommend Monster Sanctuary, it's a creature collector within a metroidvania world!
I was about to comment this lmao

few are actual games, maybe 1 or 2
How do you mean by games in this case? I think anything that's interactive is a game.
@@pixelperfectstreamarchive7176 don't say that near gamedevs, they bite
@@anumpreto Why would we bite? XD
