I'd like to see you and pops paint it, drop something cool in it with some boost. Those trucks go for bank, youll never ever lose money on that truck at that price.
wow man this is really impressive i didnt know how lowering a truck worked but now that i watched the video completely paying attention to every step its very understandable thanks man
I just bought a single cab 2wd Colorado yesterday and ordering a lowering kit and wheels/tires tomorrow. I have a lifted K5 Blazer so I figured I needed a slammed mini truck to balance things out.😂
my 96s odometer didn't work (speedo did) either when I got it... it was just a fuse. my 92 had neither speedo or odometer, was the signal wire from the speed sensor on the top of the 3rd member . ran new wire to the abs test lead and we good
Man I’ve been wanting to lower my ford ranger but it’s got torsion bar suspension in the front. Gotta find an XLT with the coil spring front suspension
I did djm 3/4 drop with the beams. Did get 3 in the front and only 3 in the back. Would like it a little lower in the back, but it doesnt take much to squat the rear end on this 92
Had the same wheels too. Ended up putting some 18 inch steel wheels off a later model camero with some wheel adapters. Fit pretty well could be wider in the back. Also threw the center caps in the drill press and drilled out the bow tie emble and put some cobra caps in
Hey man quick question. I got a 5.3 fresh rebuild with some ported 709 head and ls6 valve springs with a btr stage 4 truck cam. Just had my 4l60e rebuilt. With the cam setup I’ve heard I should run around a 3200 stall. I was wondering what budget brand you would recommend. I was originally planning on a circle D but I remember a long while back you recommended one from Jeggs. If anyone else has some suggestions or experience I’d be happy to hear it
I feel that. Motivation is hard to come by lately. Just go out there with the goal of getting just the front done. Once the front is done, the rear ain't too bad to do
Yup, lowered my 01 RCSB Silverado 3/4. Same crap - "Your truck is worthless now." It's easier to get in and out of, and with the helper bags - I still dragged my ECSB 4WD 2500HD home with it last year. I heard - tint, wheels... but not boost. That 300 six needs a turbo... just sayin'
@SniderTron3000. If you are looking for a 4.9 for that email me. I have a recently rebuilt one (less than 11k). Runs superb. I have a 408 cleavor going in it’s place.
Before you get it aligned you can get did eccentric bushings for the top ball joint to help get camber and caster in spec . Although idk how much they can correct after a lowering.
Why not run some newer 6 lug f150 wheels I like the newer f150 factory wheels plus everyone pulls them off to upgrade so you can get a nice new low mileage set for $500 or less
@@SniderTron3000 I would just run adapter spacers, as long as they are hub centric they should be fine, Ive used them before with success and they are relatively cheap
Hell yeah about time this thing gets some love! I vote on naming it red foreman
I got a running and driving 94 F150 yesterday. Picking it up in 2 days to bring home. It's pretty low already, and streetable as is. Very excited.
One of the best trucks fs they look badass as hell
Also have an uncle with 750k kilos on it which translates to 466k miles
ark here. DAMN MAN I HAVEN'T HERD THAT GINGLE IN A LONG TIME taken me back to your old video's
I'd like to see you and pops paint it, drop something cool in it with some boost. Those trucks go for bank, youll never ever lose money on that truck at that price.
The shop is looking tight brother.
wow man this is really impressive i didnt know how lowering a truck worked but now that i watched the video completely paying attention to every step its very understandable thanks man
A quick scuff n shoot, some old school billets, and it'll be perfect 👌👌
Papa Tron , We wanted to see you cut those U-Bolts off with the fireeeeee 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Lol
Looks 🔥 I’m trying this on mine in a few weeks
When I heard you swear I knew I'd e njoy rhe rest of the video 😂
Man looks just like my truck. Good times
Love that truck!!!!
Thank you for your knowledge very informative
Do you have a link for the lowering kit? Thanks for the video!! Looks awesome!!
I just bought a single cab 2wd Colorado yesterday and ordering a lowering kit and wheels/tires tomorrow. I have a lifted K5 Blazer so I figured I needed a slammed mini truck to balance things out.😂
Looks 10 times better!
what is the lowest you can drop your truck without cutting frame?
Paint it!!
Hey put lightning wheels on it
And also what did you order the shocks from and do you also have to be specific with them? Sorry first time I'm ever lowering a truck
Nice looking truck
Definitely looks better lowered.👍💯
Cool video. Just bought a 90 f150. I'm looking at doing this as well
Papatron in the mf house..
I just have one question when you order those on eBay do you have to be specific about how many inches you want drop either front or back?
Funny I put coilovers on my corolla. Long story short I broke one now I'm doing lowering springs while watching this video. Nice timing lol
Glad this is the video I watched cause I have a 92 f150 and I’m thinking about dropping it
Thank you for the video I am hopeful to put his on my 91 f150
About damn time
I had a 95 f150 dropped I bought it that way and loved that truck then I got married and sold it but now I'm on the hunt
Looking good 👍👍

Are you running Stock shocks and I beams in the front?
Man I’ve been wanting to lower my ford ranger but it’s got torsion bar suspension in the front. Gotta find an XLT with the coil spring front suspension
You can also get some shock extenders for the rear - that will help keep them at a better angle
What kit would you recommend for a 95 ram 1500 single cab
FYI man relocate rear brake lines if you bottom out the frame cuts brake lines I found out hard way and do under bed c notch for extra travel
I did djm 3/4 drop with the beams. Did get 3 in the front and only 3 in the back. Would like it a little lower in the back, but it doesnt take much to squat the rear end on this 92
I almost did a 3/4 but thought the rear might not be low enough
@@SniderTron3000 id been super happy with 3/4 but it didnt do that
Had the same wheels too. Ended up putting some 18 inch steel wheels off a later model camero with some wheel adapters. Fit pretty well could be wider in the back. Also threw the center caps in the drill press and drilled out the bow tie emble and put some cobra caps in
Can you post the link of the kit you bought ? Also why’d you have to cut on those brackets ??
I don't recommend this kit. It was a PITA to get the front camber live-with-able lol drop beams is definitely the way to go
Clean bro this what i wana do find a single cab silverado slap a 6.0ls and a bottle and we hurting feelings just cant decide 2wd or awd
My wallet prefers 2wd lol
How about Redford (Red ford)
Ol Redford
I lowered my 1996 Chevy K1500 4”s and my 2008 suburban 2.5”. So much easier to get in and out! And the handling…
I love the amount of sketchy shit your dad does.
The jack one the leaf spring was a new one for me. 😂😂
@SniderTron3000 where you get that kit and the drop that give you at the end please?
Method makes some good 17” 5x5.5
Yeah, I looked at some of their wheels
Im about to do flip kit and coil springs on my 99 silverado ext cab 5 speed
What kit did you go with?
You still might want to do drop arms in the front or it's going to start going through a lot of front tires I beams don't have a lot of adjustability.
Yeah, I've got to order adjustable bushing for it
Hey man quick question. I got a 5.3 fresh rebuild with some ported 709 head and ls6 valve springs with a btr stage 4 truck cam. Just had my 4l60e rebuilt. For a 60e, go with Circle D. They're great. The jegs ones are for TH350/400's
What drop kit is this? I have a 1990 xlt lariat long bed that I wanna drop.
I like your jokes. I'm going to subscribe 🗿
What size shocks did you put on it ? Just stocks ? Help I’m doing the same to my 1994 ford f150
Yeah, I reused the stock shocks. It was supposed to be temporary but they're still on the truck lol
Do some 15x10 rims
Please put the lightnings wheels on it and a roll pan will have it looking sexy!!!!!!! An I'm a chevy guy an I like it
Man I’ve got a drop kit sitting in the garage for my obs. Just can’t seem to find the motivation to get it done
I feel that. Motivation is hard to come by lately. Just go out there with the goal of getting just the front done. Once the front is done, the rear ain't too bad to do
Where can I get the kit??
What about yoke depth before and after at the transmission?
It barely changed
I bet it handles better already.
That 300 six needs a turbo... just sayin'
GEN 2 lightning wheels! Get some used, ream out the holes a tad and use flat washer type lug nuts
Where do I get that kit
link to order please
let's see a turbo on the shop truck
Which eBay seller is this kit from?
@SniderTron3000. If you are looking for a 4.9 for that email me. I have a recently rebuilt one (less than 11k). Runs superb. I have a 408 cleavor going in it’s place.
Red Ryder
I’m thinking about swapping a foxbody tubular front end on to 67 F-100….
That would be rad as hell
@@SniderTron3000 hopefully it works….🤞🤞
Before you get it aligned you can get did eccentric bushings for the top ball joint to help get camber and caster in spec . Although idk how much they can correct after a lowering.
Yeah, I need to order some. It "only" has 3 degrees of camber right now, so if it can get it to 1 degree then its good enough for me lol
Crown Vic swap the front suspension?
If it was more of a performance truck, then maybe. But the stock setup is fine for me
Do you miss the Ls swapped suburban?
Nah, not really. It was fun at the time though
Like cleetus buyin all the crown vics now these prices will go up now!! 😂😂😂😢 looks good bro!
Lol obs trucks are already getting insane
It's A truck A shop truck. 😅😂
What’s up with the s 10?😧
It's a buddies that we were throwing an EFI system on
I need to lower the s10. She sits too high.
Now put some wide wheels on it and let it rip tater chip
Who’s s10?
A buddies. We were installing an Aces EFI system on it
Why not run some newer 6 lug f150 wheels I like the newer f150 factory wheels plus everyone pulls them off to upgrade so you can get a nice new low mileage set for $500 or less
This truck is 5 lug, so I'd have to convert it to 6 lug. At that point I might as well just convert it to 5x4.5 and have a huge wheel selection
@@SniderTron3000 I would just run adapter spacers, as long as they are hub centric they should be fine, Ive used them before with success and they are relatively cheap
Would this work for a Chevy too I have 2003 Chevy 1500 hd
