You can improve the efficiency of the downpipe by adding a heat shield. The higher exhaust temperature actually improves exhaust velocity. If you look at the oem downpipe, they have a heat shield built onto the converter.
You should wrap the exhaust manifold with high heat wrap but sometimes they will wrap.
Totally right! The downpipe we took off was not oem though. It was a VRSF catless.

Now that you make big hp I suggest for safety of the transmission to tune the the XHP stage 3 tune to prevent premature wear and faster shifting for this type of power levels

328i is still an N20. Go for 330i for B48.

You have about 30 seconds after you compress the teflon injector seals until they expand again, which they do to fit snugly in the bore hole. Thats why you had to use a mallet, this actually causes the seals to strip. I’d swap those seals out the right way or else your head will be ruined
In the instructions from the manufacturer it says you can use the mallet to install… lol
Between the time we compressed them and installed it was under a minute

If you’re not mechanically inclined repairs for these cars are always $1K and up. You pull into any shop with a Beamer they see money signs. 125/150 an hour plus parts. Plastic oil pans are a large problem also.
B58 has a metal oil pan
@@Imesswithcars yeah Most BMWs with weight reduction in mind come with PLAstic oil pans. Causing major oil leaks in many vehicles

15:45 the air filter in that position will intake hot air from the engine
It actually has a snorkel that funnels air from the front of the grill and shoots it right at the filter that I added. my intake temperatures are right at ambient temp and stay nice and cool even after back to back pulls. Not to mention I have a metal heat shield over the entire exhaust manifold keeping the heat away from the intake as well.
Thas dope, one question tho. Will the transmission be able to keep up or does it need some stage 2 components?
