But then again, and much to all the dismay of Nuemann Mic users, and while I too could not imagine engaging in certain sessions w/out a host of them (IE; 67, 87 105, 102 even 49's AND if you are real lucky... a matched pair of CMV 3's with both available capsules... as made by Telefunken and absolutely mouth watering delicious in every auditory sense possible...!!) BeyerD's are not only underestimated, but moreover, mis- understood in what they can bring to the proverbial "table," well at least the "recording room, desk and table...😉....😁!!" And as with most BD Mics, these two beauties are no less important to have in your recording toolbox and "repertoire" then most any other professional microphone!! That 90 in close proximity to the snare with those brushes... my ears are watering 😋 with delight... ok, ok... ears don't water... but they certainly can tell the difference between dissonant audio content and nondissonant audio content, and damn quick, fast and in a hurry too boot!! The 70 itself is worth it's weight in gold, as long as an engineer is doing EVERYTHING they can to raise the bar in somewhat of a "mystical," "mysterious" way!! I have ALWAYS LOVED when a finished project is played on the nearfeilds, and mouths are agape with confused, inquisitive wonder...!! Then finally, the question is popped, (no, not the ... "will you marry me honey question!!" 😆) But rather, "what WERE YOU using for Mics on this project...!??!" I just shrug my Shoulders, smile and say... "hmmm...🙄...🤔, I am not sure...," "but damn... don't it sound peachy!!!" 😁 These two BD Mics can easily fall into the category of... "peachy!!" Wouldn't you agree!!!!!?????!!!!! ANYWAY, KEEP ON KEEPING ON BROTHER ENGINEER!!!!! PEACE !!!!!🤘🏼
There was plenty of examples, and the discussion was on point & necessary. I'm glad someone did a demo with these mics for drums (They're not really marketed for that). As for people who are unhappy, they can always click.... next. Oh that's right, no one else has done it on drums 🤣
