My God ! prices have at least doubled since 2020 . Portugal is fast pricing itself out of the European market ., France and Italy are looking far more attractive now. The houses and especially the barns are huge in compariosn to the small Portugese ones . Portugal has alway been a poor country so the rural housing stock is small with odd layouts . That was part of its charm when it was cheap but not now prices have gone crazy it just doesnt make sense anymore if France and Italy are cheaper
