    Tokyo Drift - Tokul (West)- Fall City, Washington (Near Seattle)
    Advanced - .5 Miles - 473' Descent - 4:00 avg descent time
    Have you been to Tokul yet? It's an awesome mountain biking area in Fall City, WA (just outside of Seattle) that offers year-round riding that's easy to lap and has a bit of everything from enduro and downhill, to XC to gravel-grinds. Heads up it is a mixed-use area so expect to see hikers and other recreation as well.
    Tokyo Drift is a DH mountain bike trail on the west side of Tokul. It's a super fun, fast and flowy, with some sweet drops and features. I'd recommend an enduro-style bike to cushion the bigger jumps, though if you're a savvy rider a hardtail might suffice. Tokyo drift has berms, steep sections and a few gap jumps, most of which can be bypassed if necessary. Access TD by heading left out of the parking lot, over the bridge and pedaling up the Small Fryes trail.
    I've been riding and filming flat-out to create an online library of mountain bike trails from around the PNW to help you choose your next ride destination! Comment your ideas for the next trail or guides that you want to see!

    Again Claire with the win--I was looking at BKXC and Seth's Bike Hacks (Berm Peak) video from Tokul in 2016/17, and for the life of me couldn't figure why Tokul looked so different. Through your detailed videos of the area I was able to piece together that being on private land the areas must've been logged/clear cut? That would explain why videos of Tokyo Drift and Goose Chase seem to border a forest now in parts versus being totally immersed in trees (like in BKXC and Berm Peak videos.)
    Also, good on you for posting links to permits in the description--seriously helpful to the masses! Here in Colorado we have almost zero parking permits, and coming to Washington/Oregon in a few weeks I've already purchased like three, haha!

      You're too kind :) Your hunch is correct. Tokul is indeed located on a privately owned logging area (Campell Global). Totally agree on the permitting bit - just another piece of the travel puzzle. Hope you have an incredible ride(s) when you get here and again don't hesitate to reach out directly via email (found in about page) or fb with any questions.

      @@montanaharkin Those are solid choices. Have you done the giant stump drop on KGB? I'm still mentally working up to that one.

    Hi! What level trail is this? I would love to do some trails in Tokul soon.

    • @ClaireJencks
      @ClaireJencks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Frances! The level of this trail depends on how fast you go. A beginner could get down it, an intermediate could do some of the gaps, and an intermediate/expert could do all of the gaps and maintain speed through the drops. If you feel comfortable on it, I'd recommend checking out Kamikaze as well.

      @@ClaireJencks Thank you for your quick response! Definitely will be going to Duthie trails soon and have Tokul on the horizon. Thanks again for these videos! -Frannie

      @@ClaireJencks Is it easier than Kamikaze? I did Kamikaze last time I was there and it wasn't too bad, but as far as jumping goes the biggest gaps I've done are Gravy Train at Duthie, it's just hard to tell with the gopro footage! I'll probably walk it a little bit next time I go there

    Looks great, thanks for sharing! Do you have to get some sort of permit to park there? I had read before that you did.

      Hi Craig! Great question. Yes, it's recommended to purchase a yearly permit (the land is owned by a private logging company). Here's the link --> sqrecreation.com/snoqualmie/non-motorized-recreation-access/non-motorized-recreation-access-permit-individuals/non-mo
