I've only ever 'almost killed a dog' on a trail. It was off a leash running ahead of the owners. The grass on the side of the trail was taller than the dog. I'm 240lbs. Had I been 'pushing the decent', I would have bulldozed the dog and killed it dead. As I am upon it just past a turn, where I could not see it. The only reason the dog lived was because I was taking it very easy that day. Please, for the dog's sake, keep in on a leash, or keep it in the car.

Nothing worse than seeing young people waste their youth by shuttling. Eventually everyone gets to old to pedal to the top. When you get that old, you should be able to look back and remember the joy of your young body pedalling to the top of the hill...

Just moved to Tacoma Washington and I've been hitting Tiger and Port Gamble (ended up getting the discover pas). Your videos are super helpful in helping me determine where to ride and which trails to hit. Looking to hit Raging River after watching your video about it. Would love to ride wih you and have you show me around!

Thank you thank you Claire. I really appreciate these guides. I'm new to MTB, rode BMX for years so I'm pretty good on a bike. But there's a fair amount to learn in making that transition. I've only really ridden Duthie and a couple of other places around the city in my first couple months riding. Looking to gear up and head to some proper trails now and it's hard to find videos about this stuff. Evo has a great written guide for a bunch of places around. But videos are always better. These are great!

The world needs more trail guides like this! I was lucky enough to visit Raging River back in February 2021 and rode CCDH, PT, and a few others. I wasn’t able to get past the clearing on Raging Ridge but boy the other trails were exactly what I was looking for. Rooty, raw, loamy, everything that this NorCal boy could want

Fun fact; The BBTC Backcountry Bicycle Trail Club was once a charming bicycle club, we had birthday parties, and camping trips and all kinds of advocacy, money raising and social events. Then one day it suffered a hostile takeover by who is now Evergreen, they are scoundrels.

The trail reminds me a lot of Sixth Sense down in Yacolt, generally fast and flowy, but the berms and features are mostly built into the natural terrain rather than built up. Also follows the same theme as a lot of the black trails up there so acts as a progression trail, like how Sixth Sense gives good progression into Thrillium.
