Definitely. I feel like it’s gotten better this gen though. There are a lot more devs giving out free upgrades/patches. It probably has a lot to do with how similar last gen tech is to the new gen, but it’s definitely better than how things used to be.

It definitely looks better, but it doesn't justify selling the same game again for the third time imo. I think Rockstar have lost some goodwill by continuing to milk this cash cow rather than just focusing on GTA VI or whatever is next.

I gotta say these new "muzzle flashes" look like shit. They straight up just look like a fire, like a flamethrower almost. They don't look like muzzle flashes. Old gen muzzle flashes r less detailed but look better imo😭 especially here : 4:02

@@noticemeonii-chan5347 I meant as in base PC version. Otherwise yeah you can make the PC version look much better. I use Natural Vision Evolved along with Visual Vanilla and the game looks amazing on PC. I also use a physics mod as well as a rain mod and also Ray traced global illumination. PC version trumps all others.

Cmon rockstar, new particles are nice and all but for the hype they built up and the need to completely repurchase the game, I would expect at least some impressive shaders, they made it seem like a completely new game.

@@willscruton2631 you don't need a beefy pc to run gta 5 at max settings i3 10105f with gtx 1650 super can run it easily on max settings at 100+ fps without 2xmsaa and advance settings because those settings are intensive af but the game would still look the same with it on and off.

There is 1 thing I notice that the LOD in the Fidelity improve and how the RT shadows cast also better than the RT performance mode.
Isn't that the point of Fidelity? The best quality at the cost of frame rate. Performance RT is the hybrid of Performance and Fidelity. It bumps up most of the graphics while trying to maintain 60fps
i mean maybe this clip use performance RT for comparison but i dont know for sure. Beside, i did some more research, it turns out that the LOD for shadow in normal performance mode is also better than the performance RT.

@@dlivex9492 You can allow modding with limited access to game files. This would let the community further the graphics to the extent of the hardware without jacking up the actual gameplay. I feel like you don't delve into mods much with that comment. Mods don't mean cheats, it means a modification.

Take the barriers on the highway if you approach them the wrong way on a motorbike It will throw you off. Just like the taxi in this video. In the previous version those barriers would not opposed to an obstacle…
This is why GTA 5 on pc looks like GTA 6 and why GTA 6 on pc will look 10x realistic due to mods just saying this is basically the vanilla pc version with everything cranked up 4k textures and ray tracing basically a remaster and not a full blown remodel the new engine they used is bullshit looks like a 4k version of the pc version yet the modded pc version looks even better than this

I wasn’t going to anyways since next gen cant play with last gen but now I’m definitely not buying it. I play PC so there’s not really a difference but I’m getting a Series S so I could play with my bro who’s still on Last Gen. But now I know I just need to get a copy of the last gen version.

The fire looks a lot better on PS4 overall I’m pretty happy with it though I only ever played the story mode once so I’ve been really excited to play it again. I remember hearing awhile ago that it was just going to be a few enhancements and that it still wouldn’t look nearly as good as RDR2 that also makes me so freaking excited for GTA 6 cause RDR2 is the most realistic game I’ve ever played.

After viewing other TH-camr(s) you have GTA 5 Online since 2013 the PS5 or Xbox X Series version gave me a few major features that the old gen version could not which is the online mode where your created character can now select a session in the menu without leaving the current session on either solo mode session, invite-only session, crew session only, closed friend session, and public session real-time on the spot. And then there's HAO's workshop where you're given a fast but not suitable for track racing vehicle where you get these 5 exclusive vehicles in PS5 or Xbox X Series version and most of the cars are just Imani's Missile Lock Jammer yet all of the 5 vehicles regardless of there price will just be destroyed by 1 RPG missile, 1 Homing Missile, and 2-3 Explosive Rounds from a Heavy Sniper. I mean for the record a Toreador and Khanjali Tank is enough to destroy these 5 exclusive cars which is not worth the price at all.
So to those who wish to get 60 FPS with an RT + Performance enhancement yeah if you have the money and the device then go for it. Just remember you're still not close to beating an AMD Ryzen 9 5950X + RTX 3090 + NVMe SSD Storage with an 8K - 12K 360Hz display Monitor which displays a minimum of 300 to a maximum of 599 FPS both RT + Performance enhance already in a PC ever.
In Conclusion to console players that wanna see the 60 FPS + RT + Performance then please go for it and brag to your friends if they own such PS5 or Xbox X Series.
I both have the consoles like PS4 and Xbox 360 which is the old gen with my friends whom I played for since 2013 which doesn't have the money, which is poor like me and has also a potato PC like I do but is playing with fun each time of the weekends so yeah I'm sticking in the old versions.
In the end, it's clearly up to you if you wish to go on the next-gen with only a few people or friends that own a next-gen console then it's your call pal. And at the end of the day, we will all see who enjoys it most. When you port for example your old-gen account in GTA 5 to the new console you cannot return back to the old console version. Hope that makes sense and I hope you've chosen wisely with your decision(s).
GTA V on PC does not have ray tracing, that's just a mod. Mods are fake ray tracing as it's baked in which is not what true ray tracing is. Real ray tracing is done differently on the GPU, not on software. Hence why true ray tracing is restricted to Nvidia RTX cards and the latest generation of AMD gpus.

I only got it because I've never really bothered with the PC version. Much prefer to play the GTA games on a console because I have a big 55 inch 4k Dolby Vision HDR tv attached to my Xbox Series X.

I got a series s and GTA when the series s came out.. I just realized I had Xbox 1 version of GTA
I'm not sure who has played on both ps4 and ps5, but is it just me, or is it harder to play on ps5 vs ps4 due to the controller? 🤔 Another thing I've noticed is when I'm flying my helicopter the camera view allows you to zoom out once more on ps4 than on ps5 (which I prefer).

(BIG TIP) Either using your Arcade computer, or the LOWER LEVEL Nightclub computers....rent a new DJ for 10k (if it isn't 10k then u have to rent ALL 4 DJs for 100k each 1st). Then, exit the (overall) nightclub menu. Re-select the nightclub menu and KABLAMO, NO MORE PROMOTION MISSIONS lol. Repeat steps until its full, or just rent like 4 in a row if you're bottomed out. I check this often though with my supplies and keep it topped off. ENJOY!!!!$$$
Somthing they should add are dealerships so you can buy them in person instead of using the phone or will give you more in depth when wanting to buy a new cause to experience how the car feels and drives and for the test drive have a circuit to test out performance and speed that’s somthing I wish they add in the new gta

The graphics/textures do look better and more crisp but im disappointed about the draw distance and the blur effect on the upgrade.

Modded versions of it from 5 years ago look 1000x better. This is like a "shadow and smoke patch" and that's just about it
@@SuperSohSo look at the background at 3:30 , everything is blurry and as you get closer you see a bunch of pop-in with all the details. And it looks worse when you're driving through the city and see this with large buildings because they just look like large gray blurs. It not very "next-gen".

All in all this is not what I expected… I thought there would be jaw dropping differences and there is not … advance’s seen like from 360 to the Xbox one was a true upgrade…. This I had to come on TH-cam to find what others have found because it’s so little that is different from Xbox one to the Xbox series x/s. It’s disappointing.

After seeing this I respect the update to ps5 more, but it's still a ps3 game in a ps5 body. Movements & Characters are way behind for example the character creations you can do in Cyberpunk. So yeah, nice... But waiting patiently for GTA6.

Didn't get a chance to play the PS5 version much yet. Going to tonight though after work. So I'll be editing the rest of my previous cars that are Hao cars and checking out the rest of the improvements for myself there. Thanks for the comparison. Lots of people don't understand everything that was actually improved. There's more there that is improved that people can't see or wouldn't notice right away as well. Improvements to the systems in the game in general and maybe some AI and other improvements have been implemented as well. I know they're working n new AI tech for GTAVI that is supposed to be very good and advanced quite a bit over GTAV. Wonder if they tested any of that with the new upgrades.
One thing I was wondering on if they improved was when flying there's fake cars and car lights that are driving around on the roads below. Is that still the case did they improve cars an car rendering distance when flying? Probably not but was wondering on that if it still uses the fake not really there cars rendering in. Ill check it out tonight to see if it has improved myself. Thanks again.

@NOIZZEE BOMB Really after watching this and the game finally running well after so long on consoles not running well you don't think they did anything good here? It's much better than it was playing the Ps4 version on Ps5. I'm happy with what they've done here. I didn't pay anything for what I get out of this as GTAOnline is free. I may get the whole game but it's only $10 right now. That's not bad for improving the whole game experience just with the framerate. Then there's all these changes that they didn't have to do. But they did. Lots of other companies just made resolutions and framerates higher. Them adding other things and improving other things was very nice to me. I will be enjoying the changes even though sour people like you don't care enough to. After playing the game for so long suffering through bad framerates with more than 10-12 people in a session for so long got old I'm very happy with how this turned out.

Me personally I wish all the textures were updated and the euphoria engine was upped. With dismemberment. Seems the car physics are back to gta 4 standards which were good so they could’ve made the euphoria better. Those 2 plus what they’ve done with the lighting and particles and screen space reflections and all THEN I’d have no problem buying it seen as I don’t give 2 shits about gta online and I only care about the single player and I haven’t played it in a long time. I decided to play gta 4 recently because I never played the dlc and man there is some things about gta 4 that are shockingly better than gta 5
