can't agree more. it also has the best collective gameplay. from crafting pouches out of animal skins and learning new ability. I finished 3,4 and 5 so many times and I'm playing 6 right now, though the graphics in 6 is amazing (albeit still cartoonish) but the game mechanics lack so much comparing to 4. driving is also atrocious in 6 and the way they spread some perks on armors rather than passive skill set is a downgrade

I really enjoy playing all of these, but I think it's sad that you don't have to rely on crafting in FC5 and FC6. I miss have to go hunting to create better equipment

Far cry 5 has great weapon system, i like the way weapon recoil and single shots work, great potential for multiplayer modes.
Facts, if only they added more to the game(set in America after all) crossbow,m4 shotgun or even just more m4s lol

In far cry 3 and 4 npc react if player aims on them or throw a stone in their hitbox. But they do it only while standing on the ground, like in 5 or 6
Seeing the mangrove area in Far Cry 3 toward the end of the game brought back so many memories. Each game truly has its own special nuances that come with the environment it takes place in.
I still remember the epic fight I had with the black hawk there
They’ve lost that specialness. Far cry 3 and 4 were the last good far cry games. They’re now incredibly mediocre.

Far Cry 4- a reskin of FC3 but with polished and perfected details.
Far Cry 5- A different approach which didn't lay well for 3 and 4 lovers, but after a while it gets to you and you realize it is great.
Far Cry 6- A game very different from all of the above, yet without polish and detail 4 and 5 had.
Why do every far cry games have to be like Far Cry 3? I liked FC4...graphics is better it is polished... Himalaya feels great, Pagan min is a great villain,
FC 5 hope county good too... It wasn't violent like fc3, 4... but a good game... Why do you expect every far cry to be like far cry 3 I don't get it... I like vaas as a villain and also fc4 and fc5 villains... Graphics gets better in each game

It makes me sad how little the differences are in the graphics of the games. Per Farcry there is each time a gap of a few years in between. Wich makes u expect that the graphics would be better each time they launch a new farcry, but thats not the case in my opinion. I really hope fc7 will be like 3 & 4: skin animation, skill tree, hunt/craft mechanic. Those aspects were the ones that made farcry.

I play far cry 3 for story and 4 for physics
The movement in Far cry 4 is a little bit faster than Far cry 3. What I mean is the way you get in the vehicles in Far cry 4 if you notice:))
npcs do react in FC3 when u point gun at villagers (common people) other than the tribal warriors , they will scream and run away and also beg for their lives

I really wished far cry had on its story missions a great Zoo with different exhibits from all around the world. So in Editor we could have incredible aestetic widlife scenes to create wonderful and cool things.
(ima use hunting here as an example for what im about to say) The major reason for the lack of detail and animation in hunting for fc5 and fc6 is because some idiots got mad that it "takes too long", that's also the reason they got rid of the ability to sleep, apparently the more realism the game has, the angrier people get :/

No matter what Far Cry 3 is the best. Story wise and Character writing, No any other Far Cry game can come closer to it. Hats off to the developers of Far Cry 3❤

The ACOG sight was much improved from 5 onwards, it was very inaccurate in 4, made the MS16 almost useless. The chevron on the bushman variant was also considerably bigger than future variant.
There is a place in Far Cry 4 where you can escape the map to the himalaya by the mountain but you keep being teleported

hmm it looks like physics have taken a step back between 5 and 6?
I liked the little sound lag behind a distance explosion and when the sound reaches the player. It feels realistics as in real time sounds travel slower than light so we may see explosion at a distance sooner than we hear it in real life . I wish they had implemented that feature in other farcry games too. Also, In farcry 2, whenever a rocket explodes near the player, the whole screen jitters and shakes giving a very real life feeling - as in real life if a bomb or a rocket explodes close to use, we will most likely be shaken really good from its impact. I loved that feeling the most in the whole farcry 2 , but unfortunately the developers decided against implementing that feature in the future farcry games. Both of these features would have made for a great realistic user experience in my opinion.
For all its flaws FC2 is still my favourite by a country mile. It's the only game I've ever played where I've legitimately forgotten I was playing a game for short periods. It will always be the most immersive for me.
As a 65 year old gaming veteran and a player of these when released, FC3 was console kiddie food which the series never fully expunged. I've often thought FC5 is the best overall and I stand by that. Kids can have their T&A Citra or Edgy Vas. FC4 is more of the same - a LOT more, but the Wingsuit escape will always be special. FC5 makes me proud to be American while FC6 was a new developer whom decided to go back and try to capture 3 and 4 together in a single experience. FC6 also forced players into a female protagonist - doesn't bother me as that would have been my given choice like in FC5. One step forward - 3 steps back. At least 6 saved money on voiced companions/guns for hire so they could throw it at Giancarlo. At least Danny Trejo was a big plus. FC6 is good, it just tried a bit too hard with less inspiration.

I played 5 first, now I'm playing 4. 5 is definitely better, especially now it's X/S enhanced. 4 is still really good, it's amazing that it's almost 10 years old and still better than most of the new games.

Far Cry 6 makes foi choose between male/female, but has less customization in you compare with 5 (sorry bout bad english)

Fst cry 5 best weapon and progress skill. FC4 the best bow hunting. How many times less annoyed in 3 that the bow was so ineffective. 4 I went through the whole with a bow on the highest difficulty level

I love comparing the little details, but it's a bit pointless really when the overall gameplay means a lot more to the avarage player. My favourites are 4 and 5. I can't really put into a list why i think that, that's just what i think 🤷🏻
Far cry 5 is my favorite. Far Cry 6 just seemed like more of an extended DLC for Far Cry 5 and I didn't really care for it. The only one of the games I really considered groundbreaking was Far Cry Primal. I have all of the games and will probably buy the next one when it comes out.

Но 6 часть потрясла не только наличием невероятно огромной карты для игрового мира, детализация, населенность местности и застройка, отличие регионов, но стоит также отметить, что 6 часть вытекает из 5 по своему, тут и блаж(Вивиро) и наличие нескольких главных боссов.

Far cry really went downhill from Far Cry 5 in terms of immersion. In 2, 3 and 4 everything used to feel cut-throat, like you were actually fighting for your survival in an uncaring exotic environment. The following games are just large sandboxes filled with random NPC interactions, boring filler missions, guns that shoot like props and discutable diversity representation. I guess it can be enjoyed by some people, but it's not for me.
I feel like they put less and less effort in each Far Cry. They just reuse the same idea, but take out some effects that may create issues. Instead they make the maps bigger and emptier and soulless
That's how I felt with Far Cry 5. Just a bunch of empty space. However they did fix that with Far Cry 6.
To me, it's not so much that the formula is getting old, It just looks like they're leaving out details completely or at least, dumbed them down a bit.. leaving a stale impression..
I like all the Far Cry games, particularly 3 and 6 being my favorite.
But recently I've been playing a lot of 3 and I can't help the notice the amount of care that went into making that game. It's definitely a product of its time but it doesn't fall too short. FC4 on the other hand just cleaned up the audio gave us a pretty math and some nice special effects. I believe that also had the cleanest picture out of the lineup but six definitely is the best looking game by far
FC5 and New Dawn don't look bad or play bad either, but they just didn't capture the vibes that I'm looking for..

Loved Far Cry 3-5, but Far Cry 6 is so, so repetitive with most of the checkpoint type bases you have to liberate being near identical. So samey that I've played it twice and given up twice without getting much progress through the game. A soulless game experience IMHO, and too easy to head shot enemy NPC's all the time. I regularly replay 3-5, probably once a year still. Great games, except for the nasty animal attacks (in 3 and 4) e.g. 4 x wild dogs attacking you at once just as you're about to attack a base, which happens a bit too often. Played the original Far Cry back in the day, too, but that got weird at the end and graphically it's got very old. Never played Far Cry 2 for some reason, but that looks a bit old graphically too.
far cry 6 was a fantastic game,. specially the little treasure hunts and i was really shocked how they even implemented stranger things , pirates anda few other cool games . i dont know why it got such a bad rep.
But one thing theyr eally fucked up was helicopter flying. helicopter flying mechanics in far cry 5 is really fun and intuitive., in 6 the helicopters fly as if they are on rails , the helicopter flies like a car in the air. just horrible

If you want tho play far cry for the first time dont go tho youtube, they only will say far cry 3 is the best or something like that, just select the one that you like more and done! Is just a suggestion.
far cry 4 first, then 3, then 5, dont play far cry 6 and check out far cry 2 later

i realy liked hunting in far cry 6 and u can even get rewards for hunting down all the bosses the wolfs the panther and all of those i got full set of the hunting gear and far cry 6 did it that when u got full set u are like predator the mask looks like predator and it even one part of the armor names predator i realy like it and i am still doing it
