can't agree more. it also has the best collective gameplay. from crafting pouches out of animal skins and learning new ability. I finished 3,4 and 5 so many times and I'm playing 6 right now, though the graphics in 6 is amazing (albeit still cartoonish) but the game mechanics lack so much comparing to 4. driving is also atrocious in 6 and the way they spread some perks on armors rather than passive skill set is a downgrade
in 3:09 you aimed at them while they were in a vehicle but if you aim at them while they are not in a vehicle they will actually react to you and say something like "Watch it". same thing with far cry 4 as well
I totally forgot that in far cry 6, Dani doesn't have to stay and fight, they even said they can leave any time and so leaving the map is that exact ending lmao
I really enjoy playing all of these, but I think it's sad that you don't have to rely on crafting in FC5 and FC6. I miss have to go hunting to create better equipment

Seeing the mangrove area in Far Cry 3 toward the end of the game brought back so many memories. Each game truly has its own special nuances that come with the environment it takes place in.

There have been games with more features, yes, but no other game in the series has felt as real as 2 - for that, it has always been my favourite. It has all the worst aspects of 2 (the repetitiveness, etc) but with none of the charm and far less immersion. 2 is the only game that I've really felt like I was there at times, forgot I was playing a game. FC3 is more like FC1, Far Cry 2 is a completely the odd one out, the series was always about crazy stories in weird/cool environments and sprinkled with sci-fi, never about realistic and grim environments. My first FC game was FC2 and even today i will call it walking/driving simulator with cool physics, because that is what you would do most of the time, not to mention being constantly annoyed by drive-by shooters and respawning enemies. It makes me sad how little the differences are in the graphics of the games. Per Farcry there is each time a gap of a few years in between. Wich makes u expect that the graphics would be better each time they launch a new farcry, but thats not the case in my opinion. I really hope fc7 will be like 3 & 4: skin animation, skill tree, hunt/craft mechanic. Those aspects were the ones that made farcry.

I liked the little sound lag behind a distance explosion and when the sound reaches the player. It feels realistics as in real time sounds travel slower than light so we may see explosion at a distance sooner than we hear it in real life . I wish they had implemented that feature in other farcry games too. Also, In farcry 2, whenever a rocket explodes near the player, the whole screen jitters and shakes giving a very real life feeling - as in real life if a bomb or a rocket explodes close to use, we will most likely be shaken really good from its impact. I loved that feeling the most in the whole farcry 2 , but unfortunately the developers decided against implementing that feature in the future farcry games. Both of these features would have made for a great realistic user experience in my opinion.
For all its flaws FC2 is still my favourite by a country mile. It's the only game I've ever played where I've legitimately forgotten I was playing a game for short periods. It will always be the most immersive for me.

The ACOG sight was much improved from 5 onwards, it was very inaccurate in 4, made the MS16 almost useless. The chevron on the bushman variant was also considerably bigger than future variant.
So.. If you want tho play far cry for the first time dont go tho youtube, they only will say far cry 3 is the best or something like that, just select the one that you like more and done! Is just a suggestion.
Yes FC 5 and 6 are way better graphically but 4 just hits different. Kyrat is probably the best settings in the franchise for me. Another game which comes to my mind is Dying light 1. The environment of that game was also really surreal. Everything is dead but the sound of wind gust and background music of main theme just hits different
npcs do react in FC3 when u point gun at villagers (common people) other than the tribal warriors , they will scream and run away and also beg for their lives
Far cry 5 is my favorite. Far Cry 6 just seemed like more of an extended DLC for Far Cry 5 and I didn't really care for it. The only one of the games I really considered groundbreaking was Far Cry Primal. I have all of the games and will probably buy the next one when it comes out.
(ima use hunting here as an example for what im about to say) The major reason for the lack of detail and animation in hunting for fc5 and fc6 is because some idiots got mad that it "takes too long", that's also the reason they got rid of the ability to sleep, apparently the more realism the game has, the angrier people get :/

No matter what Far Cry 3 is the best. Story wise and Character writing, No any other Far Cry game can come closer to it. Hats off to the developers of Far Cry 3❤
Out of all the far cry games I have a love for 4,5 and 6 that can't get replaced. 5 and 6 weapon handling. 4 and 5 story mode. 4, 5 and 6 Gameplay. All are good games in my opinion
I love comparing the little details, but it's a bit pointless really when the overall gameplay means a lot more to the avarage player. My favourites are 4 and 5. I can't really put into a list why i think that, that's just what i think 🤷🏻
I don't know why that happens, but I feel like when a company has a successful franchise and makes several games, as time goes by and the developer releases more games, they stop adding the interesting little details that made the game shine or stand out
As a 65 year old gaming veteran and a player of these when released, FC3 was console kiddie food which the series never fully expunged. I've often thought FC5 is the best overall and I stand by that. Kids can have their T&A Citra or Edgy Vas. FC4 is more of the same - a LOT more, but the Wingsuit escape will always be special. FC5 makes me proud to be American while FC6 was a new developer whom decided to go back and try to capture 3 and 4 together in a single experience. FC6 also forced players into a female protagonist - doesn't bother me as that would have been my given choice like in FC5. One step forward - 3 steps back. At least 6 saved money on voiced companions/guns for hire so they could throw it at Giancarlo. At least Danny Trejo was a big plus. FC6 is good, it just tried a bit too hard with less inspiration.
I played 5 first, now I'm playing 4. 5 is definitely better, especially now it's X/S enhanced. 4 is still really good, it's amazing that it's almost 10 years old and still better than most of the new games.

Just at the end of 100% progress of FarCry 3 and I fell in love with nature and also with the plot! Way ahead of its time😁 about to play 4,5,6 and Primal also 2 bcs that's classic
So, objectively the best of the series seems to have been Far cry 3...but my favorite was Far cry 4..instead Far cry 5 seems to me to be the best in physics and details (and also very underrated)... And far cry 6 is the best in graphics.. 💝
So in the section of shooting tires, if you actually notice , the number of bullets requires to burst the tires goes from 8 to 3 from fc3 to fc 6 respectively.. lol
I love Farcry 5's NPC reaction. SO realistic. And, for taking animal flesh, FC3 and FC4 takes the lead. Then, Fire is more realistic in farcry 5. For riding boats, All are great. For boats vs Gun? FC5. The weapons? FC6. For jumping from high places. I'll go with farcry4. At shooting tires all are good. For driving, FC6 looks decent. Glass physics is pretty well in FC6. Then, FC5 masters in water physics. Then again, FC6 takes the lead in blowing up cars. So, all games are great at different stuff.

Removing the skill tree we had in 3 and 4 was the worst idea yet. Removing having to loot bodies and animals was a mistake too. Totally kills the immersion. It was so cool to have to carefully choose what kind of player you wanted to be such as stealth or force. Needed to work up toward a heavy takedown. Then in 6 they have the front/alerted takedown perk from the get go with the headgear and that ruined it.
Farcry such underrated franchise honestly. Its so beautiful tripple aaa game . FarCry 5 just lovely. America vibrant . The sun the damn detail of everything. Its just chef kiss marvelous. I can just play FarCry 5 forever how beautiful it is . They have done so much with the graphic and everything.
I have played all Far Cry games but Far Cry 2 have better physics in so manny ways lol Far Cry 3 is one of the best but Far Cry 4 is the best , , one of the best DLCs ever is Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon.. The best physics in far cry 4, physics is also driving cars, shooting weapons, and all this is poorly done in far cry 2, and there are also 4 times more destructible objects than 2.
To me, it's not so much that the formula is getting old, It just looks like they're leaving out details completely or at least, dumbed them down a bit.. leaving a stale impression.. I like all the Far Cry games, particularly 3 and 6 being my favorite. But recently I've been playing a lot of 3 and I can't help the notice the amount of care that went into making that game. It's definitely a product of its time but it doesn't fall too short. FC4 on the other hand just cleaned up the audio gave us a pretty math and some nice special effects. I believe that also had the cleanest picture out of the lineup but six definitely is the best looking game by far FC5 and New Dawn don't look bad or play bad either, but they just didn't capture the vibes that I'm looking for..

I feel like they put less and less effort in each Far Cry. They just reuse the same idea, but take out some effects that may create issues. Instead they make the maps bigger and emptier and soulless
I remember being unhealthy amounts of hyped to far cry 4, and when I bought the game before i could play it I had to go on a trip with my family for 2 weeks. I sepend every second of this 2 weeks imagining and dreaming about the game. I loved the game so much that I bought far cry 5 full version right on launch. I liked the game, but i regretted buying the full version, i didn't liked the dlcs so much. I dont know if i got old or something, but far cry 6 didn't catch my attention

Yes FC 5 and 6 are way better graphically but 4 just hits different. Kyrat is probably the best settings in the franchise for me. Another game which comes to my mind is Dying light 1. The environment of that game was also really surreal. Everything is dead but the sound of wind gust and background music of main theme just hits different
npcs do react in FC3 when u point gun at villagers (common people) other than the tribal warriors , they will scream and run away and also beg for their lives

Far cry 5 is my favorite. Far Cry 6 just seemed like more of an extended DLC for Far Cry 5 and I didn't really care for it. The only one of the games I really considered groundbreaking was Far Cry Primal. I have all of the games and will probably buy the next one when it comes out.

Out of all the far cry games I have a love for 4,5 and 6 that can't get replaced. 5 and 6 weapon handling. 4 and 5 story mode. 4, 5 and 6 Gameplay. All are good games in my opinion

I love comparing the little details, but it's a bit pointless really when the overall gameplay means a lot more to the avarage player. My favourites are 4 and 5. I can't really put into a list why i think that, that's just what i think 🤷🏻

far cry 3 was insane. I used to play that game on 512mb video card with core 2 duo on medium settings. the game play was so smooth.

As a 65 year old gaming veteran and a player of these when released, FC3 was console kiddie food which the series never fully expunged. I've often thought FC5 is the best overall and I stand by that. Kids can have their T&A Citra or Edgy Vas. FC4 is more of the same - a LOT more, but the Wingsuit escape will always be special. FC5 makes me proud to be American while FC6 was a new developer whom decided to go back and try to capture 3 and 4 together in a single experience. FC6 also forced players into a female protagonist - doesn't bother me as that would have been my given choice like in FC5. One step forward - 3 steps back. At least 6 saved money on voiced companions/guns for hire so they could throw it at Giancarlo. At least Danny Trejo was a big plus. FC6 is good, it just tried a bit too hard with less inspiration.

I played 5 first, now I'm playing 4. 5 is definitely better, especially now it's X/S enhanced. 4 is still really good, it's amazing that it's almost 10 years old and still better than most of the new games.

3, 4 and 5 are great, but 6 isn't even worth the try, it was an absolute degrade in every aspect from the previous titles.

I love Farcry 5's NPC reaction. SO realistic. And, for taking animal flesh, FC3 and FC4 takes the lead. Then, Fire is more realistic in farcry 5. For riding boats, All are great. For boats vs Gun? FC5. The weapons? FC6. For jumping from high places. I'll go with farcry4. At shooting tires all are good. For driving, FC6 looks decent. Glass physics is pretty well in FC6. Then, FC5 masters in water physics. Then again, FC6 takes the lead in blowing up cars. So, all games are great at different stuff.

Removing the skill tree we had in 3 and 4 was the worst idea yet. Removing having to loot bodies and animals was a mistake too. Totally kills the immersion. It was so cool to have to carefully choose what kind of player you wanted to be such as stealth or force. Needed to work up toward a heavy takedown. Then in 6 they have the front/alerted takedown perk from the get go with the headgear and that ruined it.
Farcry such underrated franchise honestly. Its so beautiful tripple aaa game . FarCry 5 just lovely. America vibrant . The sun the damn detail of everything. Its just chef kiss marvelous. I can just play FarCry 5 forever how beautiful it is . They have done so much with the graphic and everything.

To me, it's not so much that the formula is getting old, It just looks like they're leaving out details completely or at least, dumbed them down a bit.. leaving a stale impression..
I like all the Far Cry games, particularly 3 and 6 being my favorite.
But recently I've been playing a lot of 3 and I can't help the notice the amount of care that went into making that game. It's definitely a product of its time but it doesn't fall too short. FC4 on the other hand just cleaned up the audio gave us a pretty math and some nice special effects. I believe that also had the cleanest picture out of the lineup but six definitely is the best looking game by far
FC5 and New Dawn don't look bad or play bad either, but they just didn't capture the vibes that I'm looking for..

I feel like they put less and less effort in each Far Cry. They just reuse the same idea, but take out some effects that may create issues. Instead they make the maps bigger and emptier and soulless
That's how I felt with Far Cry 5. Just a bunch of empty space. However they did fix that with Far Cry 6.

I remember being unhealthy amounts of hyped to far cry 4, and when I bought the game before i could play it I had to go on a trip with my family for 2 weeks. I sepend every second of this 2 weeks imagining and dreaming about the game. I loved the game so much that I bought far cry 5 full version right on launch. I liked the game, but i regretted buying the full version, i didn't liked the dlcs so much. I dont know if i got old or something, but far cry 6 didn't catch my attention
