My father was a storm chaser and I have seen and been through several tornadoes in my life. NEVER park or seek shelter under an overpass/bridge during a tornado! The bridge's shape can act like a wind tunnel increasing the speeds and putting you more at risk of flying debris. If there is no other shelter nearby, lie flat in a the nearest ditch, ravine, or culvert and shield your head. Love you Kate and Leisha !!!
Portuguese here from Lisbon and a fan of you two from the good old days of TLW when i was a pre teen and i just loved hearing you talking about my city and your enthusiasm about it, the coffee for example, is just so normal for us, every damn morning and when i went to NY in 2018 and ordered coffee it was a big cup and actually just bad quality. It's so amazing to know you liked Lisbon but please next time spend more time in Porto and if you can, Sintra and Gouveia, i think you will love it, the nature there is phenomenal!! Sending hugs to you two and thank you for putting a big smile of my face ❤
Portugal was my favorite country to visit, hands down. Stayed in Lisbon, spent some time in Sintra. Was truly life-changing. People ask me of my favorite thing and as serious as a heart attack, I immediately respond that I've never in my life had such delicious green apples. It's the simplest things in life that are the most impactful. ❤
Loved hearing Kate talking about cafézinho and pastel de nata. I am Brazilian and my girlfriend is English, I was a bit surprised but one of the Portuguese words she memorised well was "cafézinho". Your trip to Portugal sounds great.
Kate is absolutely right about LAX, it's the worst one I've ever been to in the US. Love flying all the way across the country and then having to figure out this whole shuttle situation just to get a cab.
19:21 Marquês de Pombal!! hahahahahha oh my God, that's hysterical. It wasn't on my bingo card to hear about Marquês de Pombal on Pants. That guy did a lot of stuff here in Brazil too (we were a colony at the time). In fact if I'm not mistaken he sort of founded the city I'm writing this in.
Pastel de Nata, my favorite. Not all desserts in Portugal are custard based. Lots of cakes and pastries with chocolate, almond paste, nuts, caramel, etc. I live in Portugal. Wonderful and beautiful country. Plus the people are kind and very welcoming. Love your podcast!
I lived in MI till I was 8 & moved to NJ around 1980. In MI we went to our basement a lot for tornado watches but there never was one I knew of thankfully. And now I'm in a 2nd floor NJ condo with no basement and we get tornado warnings here fairly often :(
Kate- your hair looks amazing. Leisha- I love the shirt. I went to LA pride in like 2013, I think it was, and saw Uh Huh Her play. I got you guys to sign my UHH tee shirt after your set. I still have that shirt lol. I was going through it back then bc I was in the process of coming out. Leisha, you sensed something was up and you told me to keep my chin up. I never forgot your words. Over a decade later, I’m fully out, living my best life, graduated from university at CSUF, and am still keeping my chin up. Thank you for that. Don’t get the name Pants but I like it, and rad podcast 🤙🏻 Btw, who killed Jenny? (Sorry- I had to ask, esp since you two must never get asked this) 😂
So in 2022 my wife and I went on a honeymoon and did the whole pacific coast highway. We started in Washington and ended in San Diego. Our flight back home was through LAX. We got to the airport to turn our rental in and because of the construction we almost missed our flight. Where we were originally supposed to drop our car off and the sign that was supposed to lead you there was wrong. No one knew where to go and kept giving us the wrong instructions. We made it but they were calling our names and had to run to catch our flight. Also we collected sand from the beaches we stopped at and didn’t know that if they’re in your carry on at the TSA has to test the sand to make sure it’s safe. We had to let them throw the sand away. We were devastated cause we had a plan to make something in memory of our honeymoon. Lesson learned screw LAX!!
I'm from Romania, had plenty of earthquakes... One that was a bit strong, as I was sitting on an office chair, I initially thought one of my friends was moving the chair, so I turned around to tell'em to stop, only to see a panicked look then an "Earthquake!!" We all crowded under one doorway 😂🤦🏻 (as we were taught then). We were on the 1st floor of a 10 story building, no amount of doorways could've helped if it went down like the '77 earthquake. Luckily there was only a huge crack at the balcony joint with the building. There's an earthquake simulator at the Natural History Museum in London as well, I always like to give it a couple of gos, but I think you get a better simulation by going on one of those bendy busses, sitting with one foot on each side over a particular potholey road 😂

I loved hearing about Portugal. I grew up in California so I'm not too afraid of earthquakes. Thankfully they are over quick. I plan on traveling across the US in the upcoming years in an RV and I am afraid to deal with all the different types of weather across the nation. I'm not going to be used to that at all. Been spoiled here in California. I too am excited about Kamala, but I'm also missing Joe. I loved how Joe supported gay marriage early on and how he said the affordable care act was a BFD. He has been a great president and has accomplished so much. He was not given proper credit for all that he did and then to have him treated like he was by Democrats pissed me off. Anyway, I'm a little more hopeful that we will win this election. The age thing would have been too much of a distraction. I think you're right Kate, we need to stay vigilant and not get to overconfident. I am most worried now about Trump trying to steal the election with those election deniers. My hope is that we win so big, there is no denying our win. I am picky too, hence why I'm probably alone. Hope your friend Ally can find someone. I am hoping to meet somebody on the road. Who knows. I never give up, even at 67. Love you guys and love your show.
WOW!! listening to Kate's vacation awesome 😊 👌 sounds so wonderful. ❤We have tornadoes here in Missouri also, and i love storm chasers. Kamala Harris 2024 💙👍. Have a great one love pants 👖 and love both of you ♥️ ❤Los Angeles souds so awesome 👌 😃
I’m English and live in London, trust me when I say that I’ll do everything possible NOT to fly out of Heathrow. Such a chaotic place, sensory overload!.
Fly in to Frankfurt and then to Portugal, 🤣🤣 and Heathrow is usually cool, LAX you are right is a Chaos but kind of cool, Burbank is really cute and i find Burbank kind of stressfree.
Leish, I love your fit, especially your shirt. Super cute and chill. Kate, LAX is definitely thee worst airport. Nothing seems to make sense there. HARRIS - WALZ 2024!! 💙💙
I wish w due respect, that more time and discussion had bn given by the podcast, to this vital discussion about Kamala Harris😊 😅 ... . take issue w the lack in .. had been
3:04 Kate YES that's the first thing I said too - the left has more enthusiasm than we've had since 08. And it's momentum that wins elections! Let's gooooo!!
Idk why but when Leisha says, “Jesus! What a bad day!” About the tsunami/ earthquake…That tickled me truly. Then Kate took the cake with, “did you hide in attics?!” And her faces while leish is telling her tornado stories. Completely captivated and I love it! Who else is more fun to watch just talking about random shit 😂 love the pod and feel oddly like I’ve grown up with you 2 the last 15 years… keep it up you 2 🫶🏼✌️
It was an inside joke from the L Words days. Mia Kirchner (Jenny) used to joke that Kate and Leisha were so close, where you saw one, you would see the other. They joked that they were like pant legs in this way. So pants is a reference to how close they are. Hence, the name of the podcast. 🤗
As a portuguese, Kate remembering Marquês de Pombal is impressive
this podcast is so comforting to me
Like candy but for the soul. I just love to listen that podcast too, awesome they meeting in person and made content on youtube too

Found this gem of a podcast last night and binged it all day today. Now I need more 😩
I love every story about Mary!
Loved hearing Kate talking about cafézinho and pastel de nata. I am Brazilian and my girlfriend is English, I was a bit surprised but one of the Portuguese words she memorised well was "cafézinho". Your trip to Portugal sounds great.

I love you guys🖤 you've both been such incredible role models and it's been so much fun looking up to you for all these years.
Kate is absolutely right about LAX, it's the worst one I've ever been to in the US. Love flying all the way across the country and then having to figure out this whole shuttle situation just to get a cab.
4:22 NO WAY ! Kate in Portugal. I was there for CSS. I thought about you during the show. Im glad you enjoyed the city hikes !! 💜💜

Super, je me demandais quand le sujet Kamala serait enfin abordé dans PANTS ❤
Leisha your tee-shirts are a whole mood! 🥰

I just listened to Amplified! WOW! It is such a creative concept. You are perfect for it Kate.
I think you should have a photo of a pocket up on the shelf once a week. Pocket of the week😁❤️
I’m cautiously optimistic too ❤

Kate explaining to us how bad airports are and Leisha telling us what to do in case of a tornado.
Loved the episode ❤❤
Leisha... literally there's a scene in Twister 2 set in a cinema. 😱
That shirt is Awesome Leisha
growing up with the scare of tornados I totally relate
“little cafézinhos” hahahaha ❤️
I always think the cheap tix through LAX will be worth it. They NEVER are. Never.😂
I love your t-shirt! Best show ever!! 😅
Kate and Leisha please bring back 'underpants' miss your stories of The L Word..

Like the socks Leisha
I love socks, especially MisMatched. I even sleep in my socks. Kinda quirky.
Hahah the LAX deconstruction to why it sucks was so good please take a camera with you next time 🤣🤣
Her struggle to say Marquês de Pombal is just SO adorable!
The Socks are now costars!❤
Marquis of Pombal is the man Kate's referring to.
came here to say this, and it's "Marquês" in portuguese😄
@PANTS with Kate Moennig a Boy, oh boy is she right Heathrow is the worst and an airport I try avoiding when traveling.
we would love to have an episode with Kate talking about her participation in quinn 🩷🩷
Ahhah ❤❤❤ sounds like pigeon...Pombal 😂 but it's probably pronounced in a way that made her think of pigeon. Love you guys
Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear and Crest line are great if you love the mountains

Fly in to Frankfurt and then to Portugal, 🤣🤣 and Heathrow is usually cool, LAX you are right is a Chaos but kind of cool, Burbank is really cute and i find Burbank kind of stressfree.
Leisha would hate the new Twisters film - the townspeople hide in a movie theatre while a giant tornado approaches their town...
Planning to go to Lisbon soon. Any Hotel tips that are in/close to the center in nice areas with good restaurants etc. anyone?
Leish, I love your fit, especially your shirt. Super cute and chill.
Kate, LAX is definitely thee worst airport. Nothing seems to make sense there.

JFK is easily accessible by public transportation AND there is a tram that gos from terminal to terminal.
LAX BLOWS.
Over too soon. ✨🌈👍🏻🌈✨
23:54 how did you guys react to the earthquake that hit LA recently? That was a big one no?
A lot of people didn’t even feel it. Not that big. No destruction or injuries.
Please tell us why is your show called Pants? Thanks

I am BEYOND excited to have Kamala run! I finally feel some hope for this election. She is going to crush trump.
gonna make debates really interesting !! ahah, we count on you kamala
Why, what do you think she is going to do to make your life better?
If you don’t like Heathrow don’t use schipol Kate 😂 Heathrow is a spa day in comparison
I still can't believe that these are our options. Wtf is happening with this country.. 🤦♀️
29:42 Leisha's looks like she has a peg foot ☺️
