@@KevenTalksbut we rationally know that No one can control other people's feelings/reactions AND we can't get anywhere functionally IF they hide strong feelings for nearly a decade!
So if you think this reporter can control Blake's feelings then she must've somehow made Blake feel bad to get that type of reaction?
Are you Willing to use that Maya quote to say Blake had a right to feel and then act that way because SHE remembered how the reporter made her feel BEFORE this moment🤔🧐??? If not then you are intellectually dishonest in how you apply this quote. I think that is going to far.
I see most of y'all think Blake and Parker didn't have feelings FIRST, but I just think people should realize feelings are flexible and often chemical reactions in a person and the reporter could've paused the interview and talk it out then like grown-ups or just leave it, BUT NOT bring it up this way 8 years later. THAT'S too long seeing as she had more interviews with her AFTER and since... Two wrongs don't make it right -- Most Common Sense😁

@@KevenTalks ...you can't please all the people all the time-- Lincoln said it and Hilary Clinton too and probably many more astute people who I may agree or disagree with politically but can't ignore the truth therein.
BTW, YOU hurt My feelings, so maybe you should've treated me more Decently so you can prove your point and not appear a hypocrite. SMH...My comment was true that if the reporter had beef with Blake, she should've paused the interview and talked to her THEN and not let it FESTER to complain she ruined her life 12 YEARS LATER. If that isn't the MOST COMMON SENSE then you don't understand the terms.
People are encouraged to own their feelings in psychology, ask any therapist or counselor with a real degree, so stating that truth shouldn't have made you mad. It's just FACTS. Hard cold facts about the nature of feelings.
You couldn't control my feelings of negativity but you didnt you didn't try hard to say I see your point and yet I disagree but NOPE you actually went and labeled your opinion was" more common sense" when I just showed it was no such thing. Even if you were polite, there is no guarantee how someone will feel in any given day. They might be hormonal like preggers or Hangry and need a snickers!
Please take time to Re- evaluate. Maya is a great poet but that comment places too much power in feelings and feelings are really often just chemical reactions that begin in your gut health. Remember Feelings are malleable and subject to reframing over time (another psych term). peace

I'm sure Parker was as well; the Interviewer was trained to remain calm, and professional, Parker is trained to be charismatic and fun for the interview. In retrospect she could have said or did something about it, but it's a lot easier to make that judgment years later watching it on replay from a distance. I know when I see people possibly digging a hole, I don't have much time to quietly analyze and start digging into them like a parent; sometimes it's best to roll with the punches and try to make it funny or not to make a big deal out of the situation at hand, in an effort to lighten the mood.

I wonder if that eye roll by Parker Posey was meant for Blake and not the interviewer. It seemed like Parker was trying to keep the interview pleasant and was trying to act as a bridge between the interviewer and Blake. Blake had been going on and on about how Hollywood actors/actresses are even more awesome in person then they are portrayed to be ... I would have rolled my eyes too if I had to keep a straight face and listen to Blake's fake "sweet" talk.

    A few things to remember:
    - English is not Kjersti's first language so it's understandable that her phrasing might sound odd, and probably why she paused before saying "bump" because she couldn't remember the word for pregnancy
    - Blake was 7 months pregnant at this point, had publicly announced it and talked about it several times already, so congratulating her was not uncommon
    - this interview was promoting "Café Society", a film set in the 1930s, so talking about the costumes were to be expected (Kjersti is also CEO of Academy of Fashion Arts and Sciences so naturally she would mention it)
    - Kjersti obviously tries to divert attention over to another subject when she notice Blakes reaction, but it seems Blake has decided to continue being rude and excluding her from the conversation, thus Kjersti sees it's best to let's them continue their "answering" without interrupting them
