One thing that is better than TGV is two TGVs XD I like how enthusiastic you are and that you haven't lost that spark in your eyes despite making content for years! Great work as usual.
Love you enthusiasm on both brands my friend! To have seen your watch collection change and evolve over the years definitely inspired me with my collection! One well get together and talk about our top 5 watches in our collections!!! Always a pleasure and never ever a chore!!!
LETS DO IT!!!!! I would love to chat top 5 with you. Just let me know in advance and we can set it up. But now the tricky bit, picking a top 5!!!!! 😅😅😅 Grazie grande! T.
The Nivada is the winner for me. I absolutely love Titanium watches! It is my favorite watch material. I also love meteorite dials. The combination of the two makes the perfect watch for me. I will have to seriously consider this one.
Anytime you release a new video I drop everything and RUN to watch it. Ive grown to absolutely love your sophisticated style and curated collection (I didn’t appreciate it 4-5 years ago when I started my own person journey). Your content has aged like fine wine and you always know how to push the boundaries in order to achieve excellence. Keep it up TGV you’re the best content creator on TH-cam!
No Tudor Coke, No Grey GMT;) - that’s quite refreshing!!! Thanks lots, Sir TGV, for the unique perspective, as always! Have a great rest of the week ahead!
A friend of mine is going to buy a prx. I think it looks great, but the f77 is a different league. I suggest it to him without badmouthing the prx. At the end of the day. I like to see him happy with his watch.
Yes, yes, yes!! Killing it, TGV! My man has got his groove back. This is what the Urban Gentry is all about. The FC is absolutely gorgeous! The NG is really unique, and to be honest I think that the upgrade is totally warranted. So happy to see you finding another piece that excites you. Awesome video. Thank you, my friend. Onward and upward! Be well!
I started follow you a round 2016 and first i didn't understund your channel but when i started understand more about watches i did get about what you all about. tnx for the years! and hope your all the best for comming years❤
I work at an office job, and whenever we do one of those “ice breakers” when we get a new team member, sometime’s they will ask everyone in the room, “what’s your biggest pet peeve?” My answer is always, “too many TLA’s”. Without fail, someone will ask, “what’s a TLA” in which I reply, “three letter acronyms”. It always gets a laugh, because if you’ve ever worked at a tech company they all use WAY too many TLAs.
Thanks for sharing TGV. Two beautiful and interesting watches. I love the Titanium F77 with that meteorite dial, fabulous! Totally understand why you wish to keep it. Looking forward to your next video. 😊
Two great entries. The F77 is incredibly cool - great use of materials on a very cool design. Helps it stand out from the crowd of similarly inspired watches. My favorite watch of 2024 is Kuoe's Royal Smith 90-010, a charming take on a triple calendar at a very affordable price given the features.
Good News Edit: Nivada has said on their IG that they’re working on a Rubber Strap for the F77. I’ve been anticipating that Nivada Meteorite for the last few months and drooling over it the last few weeks.
In a sea of Rolex-obsessed TH-cam content, TGV stands out as a beacon for true watch enthusiasts. His original perspective and passion for uncovering lesser-known brands make him a true champion of the horological world.
Love FC designs, but I must admit, I am a little bit surprised by their success. The reason I say this is because, while 31 in-house calibres is impressive, the calibre in the moonphase in the video, along with many others, are ETA-based and not finished to a very high standard. Now, this is not a criticism, because they are obviously trying to keep the selling price at a certain level. But I would've thought that someone who is attracted to such classic designs as FC offers would also want a high degree of movement finish in their watch, which FC does not offer. However, it seems that hasn't been a hindrance to their success. Kudos to them! P. S. That Nivada Grenchen is very beautiful! Feels like a bit of a disservice to it to compare it to the PRX. Design-wise, it's far ahead in my opinion. And the meteorote dial is just the cherry on top. I would definitely pay triple the price of a PRX for it. It's easily 3 times the watch.
The F77, what a awesome watch for the money, the meteorite face has put it at the top of my wish list. An absolute beauty and the price, what’s not to love. 👍
I love Nivada Grenchen- I have on pre-order the CHRONOKING MECAQUARTZ BLACK. I think my tastes and desire for more quality watches started after I got through my Seiko and microbrand phase, and got my first Marathon GSAR, and the Squale 1521. Spending 21 years in the Army and deploying all over the world I understand having solid, reliable and dependable equipment is important. I have dealt with equipment from the lowest bidder forever and will not due that anymore. I recently just picked up one of my first true grail watches the Tudor Pelagos FXD, had I had this while on active duty it would have definitely been worn and be my tool watch of choice. My tastes have refined and grown over time, large in part to your channel, which caused me to start my own lol. Thanks TGV keep up the great work as always. Nice to always see what I can aspire to become.
I bought myself an FC Highlife last month for my birthday - it's the same blue as that Moonphase - and absolutely love it. The integrated bracelet has a quick release to add a rubber strap so it's quite versatile and not 100% married to the bracelet. It's quite thin and wears smaller than the size, and is definitely a new favorite of mine! I also love a great meteorite dial, but like them to be one of the strap monsters in my collection.
Just checked it out, Damm that’s prety impressive.. cutting a gem stone not only for the date window but for a moon phase too oof, great dimensions and original design. 👏
I’ve learned so many things about watches, style and class… Thanks for what you do. I’ve been able to appreciate other watches without lusting after them with wild abandon. I do have a “grail” that I am saving for but I’ve learned to appreciate what I have. I miss Hugo, though. “Champers for everyone, dahhhling!”
Exquisite as always TGV; my only complain with Frederique Constant applies to most other brands, I love dress watches but they barely exist with a screw down crown and 100m water resistance, as a physician I wash my hands like 80 times a day, and "splashed" my watches get, and pull-push crowns don't inspire confidence even if it says 100m, just because I know how violent we can be when scrubbing and taking off gloves and etc. Bottom line I also find it unacceptable that thousands of dollars don't buy such a thing and yet your good friend Marc puts out 11mm thick watches for a couple hundred bucks with such specs. Best regards, onwards and upwards.
Hey. I'm Steve. I commented on your previous video saying titanium watches are bad because of premium variations etc. I genuinely just ordered this... it's beautiful. Also, I have a soft spot for meteorite dials. So yes I was correct, but if this is wrong, then I don't wanna be right.

That bigdate FC looks very nice. I prefer the indexes on the FC over the Glashutte aswell, much more legible. Also nice to see they do proper heat blued screws instead of coated.
Thomaso, thank you for introducing me to Frederique Constant and Nivada. Especially from the value collector POV. Great video TGV, and I love that F77! Super cool design and history. I’m not sure if it’s because of the crystal, but the lume plot looks a bit cockeyed at the 6 😳 11:56
