I think jim is the best because hes the one that lets us see the office as it is and maybe the worst main cast character is toby hes similar to jim as in hes just a normal guy but just boring to watch
Like the episode when they take the bus to get Pies and Dwight is on the roof and Jim goes to talk to him. Love those moments. Same with when Dwight is nice to Pam. Gets me every time
I'm one of those that likes those episodes better. "Dinner Party" is not really that funny to me. actually, it surprised me the first time I learned that was considered the best episode.
In season 7, Pam was the office administrator and she was talking to Jim about failing again. Dwight heard their conversation and let Pam win. This moment literally brought tears to my eyes.
Stress relief is easily the best! The heeded conversation makes me laugh every time. Other aspects that make it the best to me are - the fact that its a double episode, the cold open, the roast, the strange Jack Black and Jessica Alba guest stars, the cute moment between Jim and Pam. It has everything!
Thank you! My favorite episode for sure, and I definitely feel like the “heeded” conversation doesn’t get enough love when this episode gets discussed.
What is my perfect episode? I film it in Tiffany's at midnight. Do I go for the easy jokes? No, I go for the sophisticated one, it's priceless. As I'm telling the joke, a woman catches me. She tells me to stop. It's her father's joke. She's Mad. I say no. We make love all night. In the morning, the cops come and I escape in one of their uniforms. I tell her to meet me in Hollywood, but I go to Broadway. I don't trust her. Besides, I like the stage. Thirty years later, I get a postcard. I have a son and he's the chief of police. This is where the story gets interesting. I tell my ex-lover to meet me in Paris by the Trocadero. She's been waiting for me all these years. She's never taken another lover. I don't care. I don't show up. I go to NBC head office. That's where I sold the episode.
one of my personal favorites is the beach episode. it included one of my favorite lines from the office, when stanley says: “i would rather work for an upturned broom with a bucket for a head than work for somebody else in this office besides myself. game on!” and it’s a turning point in not only pam’s character development but the weird vibe in her and jim’s relationship after she does the coal walk (and i personally love that she calls everyone out for not going to her art show bc when michael showed up and praised her that was one of my favorite michael scenes from the office).
The only part I didn't like about Pam calling out everyone for not showing up at her art show is that, well, Michael and Oscar did show up. I wish she would have mentioned that. Otherwise, Beach games is one of my favorite episodes too, Casino night and the Dundees are my favorite!

Best 5 minutes of any tv show? As far as comedies go it surely has to be up there, David Brent’s hotel manager bit from the UK office, Mark seeing what Jeremy put in the bin in peep show, the last scene of fawlty towers and Father ted kicking bishop Brennan up the arse and the aftermath of that would be my personal favourites, the two pairs poker scene in only fools and horses is brilliant too
I don't know if it's just me but the Michael Scott Paper Company episodes are some of my favourite. It's funny from the Asian ladies hopping in the van, but it also shows emotion in Pam being regretful of following Michael, and he comforts her. It also ends good so I like those episodes.
"You have no idea the physical toll three vasectomies has on a person" will always be the line that made me laugh the hardest. Dinner Party is and always will be the unchallenged GOAT
I heard that Steve Carrell improvised the "snip snip snip!" sound and gesture when delivering that line and the cast just DIED. I have no idea how they ever finished that episode with straight faces.
Lmao that deleted scene from the koi pond episode where there’s a full length security tape of how long it takes Michael to get out of the koi pond, it’s just a masterpiece 👌🏼
Don't ever, for any reason, do anything to anyone for any reason ever, no matter what, no matter where, or who, or who you are with, or where you are going, or where you've been... ever, for any reason whatsoever...

This is one of my favorite moments also. He didn't buy it to make Pam feel better, the way Jim might have. He genuinely liked it. He loved the idea that Pam would draw the place they all worked. I don't think Michael loves Dunder-Miflin, but he thinks of his colleagues as his family, and he wants them to love him. This scene depicts that very well.
Watching the show for the first time, that is one of the things that stood out to me the most. Her name after so many great episodes. And playing such an annoying person. Just perfect. 👌🏼😄
My #1 will always be "The Coup". The entire premise is hilarious. Dwight goes behind Micheals back in order to convince Jan to make him regional manager. It has the insanely awkward scene where Micheal confronts Dwight about his trip to the dentist. Followed by Micheal playing along with Dwight being the new manager. To me that's the perfect episode
I feel like a really overlooked episode of the office is season 3 episode 5 "Initiation". I don't think it's the best episode, but it's one of my favorites. The chemistry between Dwight and Ryan is hilarious. Stanley's love of pretzel day is a mood. Pam having to make a list of everything Michael does in a day on a day he basically did nothing? Comedy gold. Even though Jim is at corporate the whole squeaky chair thing is amazing. And not to mention the super cute Pam and Jim phone call at the end. Overall a pretty great episode if I do say so myself.
Grief Counseling is one of the best episodes too. Ed Truck’s death reveals Michael’s own insecurities about being alone and forgotten. Pam provides the best care for Michael by using the “bird funeral” to help Michael realize that is not alone.
This one also has the paper staircase/Michael getting coffee from the "warehouse" intro, which is low key underrated and hilarious. AND has the scene where Pam talks about her death story which is from that boxing movie and Ryan gives the camera that look, then talks about the Lion King. Another underrated scene. And Dwight/Michael talking about the robot and Jan on the phone going "what the hell are you two talking about?" after like three minutes of robot talk. Hilarious.
Also sets up a great line for Creed later on in S3 when Oscar asks where Dwight is. Creed responds, "You didn't hear? Decapitated. Whole big thing. We had a funeral for a bird." Sounds like a total madman, but he's like 95% right. Just has the name wrong. And it all happens right in front of Jim who finally got back from Stanford, and is convinced its all gibberish.
I think that the whole series of episodes that Micheal starts his own paper company are perfect. They show how the office would be run with a normal boss, explore more into pams character , and show that Micheal’s in ability to adapt (in turn making it feel more important when he does)
It could’ve been the best but you can tell the writers had no direction for the storyline so they just made the characters sell out and come back to DM
It also had one of the darkest scenes. Like when they going to steal leads from a small family company who are nothing but nice and sweet. A season later they read in an article that this company became bankrupt.
@@PANTA-Music no no it’s better than that lol michael actually thought he could get a job there and called to ask and then they revealed they had shut down in their voicemail message
@@Xzsh-ol9jg but at the same time it makes sense because Michael had no plan. Starting his own paper company had been his dream for the past few hours or whatever. It would be less organic if those episodes were any less chaotic
My favorite office episodes 10: The Injury 9: The Boat 8: Dinner Party 7: Booze Cruise 6: The Chair Model 5: AARM 4: Garage Sale 3: Fun Run 2: Niagara(parts 1 and 2) 1: Stress Relief
We're all gonna forget the moment the guy in the wheelchair mentioned someone just happened to park in the handicapped parking space the same day Michael burned his foot? LMAO
I love the moment Pam has the epiphany Dwight and her are friends. He even remembers her sweetness through her conjunction when she asks to hold her baby in Gabe’s party to recuperate her sleeping schedule. At the end of course, he acknowledges her as being his best friend in the final episode. This is the birth of the friendship, this is why this is one of my favorite episodes.
Safety Training is my favorite episode. An absolute riot from start to finish and a little moment of self reflection for Michael when things got a little too real
My favourite episodes in no particular order The Injury The Carpet Goodbye Toby Booze cruise The gay witchhunt Dinner party Branch closing Stress relief Goodbye Michael The Finale
Why Stress Relief Is my favorite: 1. the opener is hilarious 2. the staying alive sing along is adorable 3. Dwight cutting open the dummy 4. the roast of Michael Scott 5: the roast of everyone else 6: Stanley wholesomely laughing at michael's joke
"the r sound is one of the most menacing sounds in the English language. thats why it's called murder not muck duck." such an underrated line from my shrute man.
For me: funniest joke: Michael's reaction to Toby being back. Funniest Jim prank: Dwight hitting himself with the phone (only told). Nicest moment: Jim fighting Dwight to prevent him from getting fired.
Kevin Thomas I agree, another one of my favorites. I like how Michael is so childish that he can’t explain his feelings, so they have to have a bird funeral where Pam gives a speech that explains what Michael is feeling (but also relates to the bird) and lets him grieve. It explores Michael’s character a little more and feels true to how people cope with their feelings when they can’t verbalize them.
@@myoung2328 along with this he only ever realizes that he has an opportunity for people to feel sad for him when kelly tells him that he must be feeling so sad. i think that while he was really gridding, part of it was him trying to gain sympathy out of the situation
I’m not even a minute in and I already feel so validated. The Injury has always been my favorite episode of The Office. The balance of humor and emotions is perfect and relatable in so many ways. Most of us may not have burnt our foot in a Foreman grill but everyone can relate to having to take care of someone else, even if that person annoys the hell outta you.
Would you say this episode can also be seen as one of the episodes that "pushed" the satire-driven mocumentary towards more of a cartoonish sitcom? I think a better episode to rival the dinner party one is the one where Jim throws a party and doesn't invite Michael. So much character detail and situational comedy there... plus it is extremely grounded and feels like an episode of "The Office" outside the office.
My favorite episode is "Business School." It is the one where the writers finally managed to put everything together for the puzzle that is Michael Scott.
Ive used this episode for years as a way to introduce people to this show way more than dinner party. Its the best snapshot of literally every character dynamic and personalities on full display.
I'm a little late but in my opinion, the best episode is "The Search". The one where Michael goes 'missing' and Holly, Dwight, and Erin go out to find him. It's so beautiful and amazing and it has an amazing payoff. Holly and Micheal are perfect for each other and her being right about every single guess on where Micheal could be was amazing. It was such a huge payoff in the long run. Micheal finally got his true love and I love them so much. That last bit when Holly goes on the roof, and the camera circles to reveal Micheal in perfect.
The fire drill, the meeting at corporate with Micheal, Dwight and David Wallace, the CPR training, the second meeting at corporate... In the meantime you got that ridiculous movie with Jack Black and that grandma, with Andy trying to wrap his head around the comments of Jim and Pam. Stress relief part 1 has it all. That makes this the best episode.
I literally just watched this episode the other day i was like damn this episode is so funny also Creed giving us one of his best lines Micheal: do any of you know what its like to be disabled? Creed; when I was a teenager I was in an iron lung 😭😂😂
The Injury was the very first The Office episode I’ve ever watched. It was played in class and I absolutely loved the show from then on. This episode is genius, very well rounded.
I couldn't agree more! If I had to pick a favorite episode of The Office it would be this one. Jim summed it up in one sentence- "You burned *your foot* on a *Foreman Grill* ." The creativity that went into that just gets me every time I watch it. 😂 I also loved the heart and the jokes and friendly Dwight but I think my favorite part was how precious it was to see Jim caring for Dwight, but doing it in his own "Jim" way, by spraying him in the face with the water bottle.
@@Camilajj97 I actually have never watched the office before, I started to binge last week since quarantine and there was only ONE episode that I skipped parts of, which was scott's tots. I felt too uncomfortable when he entered the building that I had to skip to the next scene. Damn that was hard to watch
I don't know if there's a single best episode....but there is a single best moment.....when Michael buys Pam's painting....which proves, that, Michael Scott is indeed, the World's Best Boss !!!
That Michael and Stanley incident episode (lost the title but let's call it did I stutter) was one of my favorite, you can see how Michael manages between his hurt feelings, his craving for subordinates love and his obligations as a boss. Also Stanley letting go of his stoic habits for a minute after basically 9 years witnessing his boss enormities was refreshing. One of the few solid inner office episodes short before Michael left
What a perfect episode of The Office looks like: -Michael getting himself into trouble -PB&J being cute -Jim messing with Dwight -Emotional moment that results in character growth for one of the main characters -Strong cold open -Amazing jokes throughout For these reasons, I think "Money" & "Casino Night" could possibly be the best episodes of The Office
that's easily one of my favs. it's so absurd and it truly goes nowhere and that's just... so beautiful. I think it's one of the quintessential Office episodes
I love that Angela and Oscar become best friends in the end. She was so horrible to everyone and became so nice once she found a friend and was able to express her love to Dwight.
English teacher: “See Michael used the grill as a form to get compassion to make him feel better about his insecurities of no one liking him.” Author: “Nah bro, he just stepped on a grill and burnt his foot lol”
An episode I saw recent that I honestly forgot how good it was was “Todd Packer”. This is the episode where Micheal outgrows packer as a friend right before his move to Colorado. Also has Jim and Dwight working together to take packer down which is amazing
Everytime when I think of the office’s best times is season 2 and the grilled foot. I have watched this episode with other people and seriously everyone was laughing every 20 seconds it’s amazing. Nothing like this episode or the overall season 2 could make me or my friends laugh this much
I love the second to last episode when Dwight becomes manager. I feel like all the underlying feelings that the office staff have for each other, and you assume are there but only ever get hints at, finally come out.. it might seem like a bit of a break from people's characters but so satisfying to end on
The best episode is The Client because it showed Michael actually being an asset to Dunder Mifflin. If they don’t have that episode, the show would be a really great sitcom, but any argument about “How is Michael the boss?” would end any kind of realism going for it. Not only that, but it brilliantly balances Michael’s insecurities about Jan with Jim and Pam. That look they give one another at the end of the episode and shrug is the epitome of everything The Office could accomplish.
I want my baby my baby my baby my baby I want my baby my bbay my baby my baby Chiliis, baby back ribs! watching the client getting drunk and happy is one of the funniest moments of this show

ikr! It's like changing schools all over again
Facr
LOVE ME LOVE ME
Dwight and Ryan should’ve had more scenes together.
Well....at least you didn't say stress relief.
Grief Counseling is one of the best episodes too. Ed Truck’s death reveals Michael’s own insecurities about being alone and forgotten. Pam provides the best care for Michael by using the “bird funeral” to help Michael realize that is not alone.
Yes!!
We had a funeral for a bird."
Sounds like a total madman, but he's like 95% right. Just has the name wrong.
And it all happens right in front of Jim who finally got back from Stanford, and is convinced its all gibberish.
I don't agree with you
"Today, smoking is going to save lives."
Thanks, literally the core of the earth.
That experience was difficult to deal with please don’t joke about it!
BRO THAT IS THE BEST EPISODE IN THE WHOLE ENTIRE SHOW HAHAHA
@@paswordwithtwoss when you're a total goofy simp like Andy yeah, its probably tough to get through anything "Knowing full well you got to be you."
*reads the title*
Me:”Which one of all the episodes from season 2 through season 5?”
The part when Kevin started breaking the vending machine for snacks during a fire was literally the funniest scene ever
My favorite sweet moment from this episode is when Pam updates Oscar knowing Angela is listening and worried, but hiding her feelings.
@@PANTA-Music that was so harsh! But equally funny hahaha
Dwight and Pam’s relationship, especially in this episode, is so touching
Why the hell did youtube move comments?
I WAS WONDERING TOO

Casino Night is epic!
We're all gonna forget the moment the guy in the wheelchair mentioned someone just happened to park in the handicapped parking space the same day Michael burned his foot? LMAO
i remember that but it makes no sense because dwight picked him up
@@officialGamer1000 maybe Michael made Dwight park there? We will never know😂
@@officialGamer1000 omg wait i didn’t even realise LOL
I love the moment Pam has the epiphany Dwight and her are friends. He even remembers her sweetness through her conjunction when she asks to hold her baby in Gabe’s party to recuperate her sleeping schedule. At the end of course, he acknowledges her as being his best friend in the final episode. This is the birth of the friendship, this is why this is one of my favorite episodes.
Safety Training is my favorite episode. An absolute riot from start to finish and a little moment of self reflection for Michael when things got a little too real
YES!
Chris you're here? Stress Relief is my favorite
My favourite episodes in no particular order
The Injury
The Carpet
Goodbye Toby
Booze cruise
The gay witchhunt
Dinner party
Branch closing
Stress relief
Goodbye Michael
The Finale
Good list. I also like Money and The Michael Scott Paper Co
michael dancing in booze cruise is one of the funniest parts of the series to me
also Scott's Tots
michael's last dundies?
booze cruise is my fav post michael episode
The Office was one of the best shows during its time, you did a great analysis and perfect breakdown of your points.
Ur flippppping everywhere. What have u not watched 😭😭😭.
Why Stress Relief Is my favorite:
1. the opener is hilarious
2. the staying alive sing along is adorable
3. Dwight cutting open the dummy
4. the roast of Michael Scott
5: the roast of everyone else
6: Stanley wholesomely laughing at michael's joke
"the r sound is one of the most menacing sounds in the English language. thats why it's called murder not muck duck."
such an underrated line from my shrute man.
I actually love the one where they have a dance party in the empty space
cafe disco!!!
For me: funniest joke: Michael's reaction to Toby being back. Funniest Jim prank: Dwight hitting himself with the phone (only told). Nicest moment: Jim fighting Dwight to prevent him from getting fired.
The funniest Jim prank is the William buttlicker one lol
Finally someone who appreciates 'The Injury' as it deserves!
Honestly it is my favourite episode.
Then come Stress Relief and Dinner Party
Another episode like this is when Ed truck died
Kevin Thomas survivor man🤣
He was decapitated, he was super wasted and went right under an 18 wheeler -Creed
His Capa was ditated
I’m not even a minute in and I already feel so validated. The Injury has always been my favorite episode of The Office. The balance of humor and emotions is perfect and relatable in so many ways. Most of us may not have burnt our foot in a Foreman grill but everyone can relate to having to take care of someone else, even if that person annoys the hell outta you.
I honestly think ``Stress Relief´´ *is* the best episode of The Office.
-- email surveillance is IMO the best episode
I love this one.
“Stress Relief: Part 1” is by far the best episode
My favorite episode is "Business School." It is the one where the writers finally managed to put everything together for the puzzle that is Michael Scott.
That is one of, if not my favourite episode.
Next up: "How Angela's Cat is Perfect"
Arnold Howard *Was
Prinkles?
Purrfect
Which one
Bandit?
I love Garden Party. The traditional dances and Dwight announcing Jim every time he passes the threshold!
"You can't fire me I don't work in this van!" will forever be my favorite line from the show.
My favorite line from this episode:
Jim: what are you doing?
Dwight: Vietnam sounds
I dont even think it was guessing at first.
She just thought like him lol
“A lot of great episodes have to do with the undressing of Michael’s character.” *flashbacks to when Pam walked in on Michael changing in the office*
“OK see you later Pan.”
“Pan?”
“You can’t fire me, I don’t work in this van” is one of my favorite Dwight lines😂😂
ı think that one episode when dwight makes a fire drill is one of the bests. that chaos was HILARIOUS
I literally just watched this episode the other day i was like damn this episode is so funny also Creed giving us one of his best lines
Micheal: do any of you know what its like to be disabled?
Creed; when I was a teenager I was in an iron lung
😭😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
Michael: How old are you?
I love creed so much 😭🤣
The Injury was the very first The Office episode I’ve ever watched.
To be honest, I always like The Injury a lot. Dinner party was a little too cringeworthy for me, although I still like it.
SAME. Dinner party and Scot's tots are hard to watch.
@@Camilajj97 I actually have never watched the office before, I started to binge last week since quarantine
and there was only ONE episode that I skipped parts of, which was scott's tots. I felt too uncomfortable when he entered the building that I had to skip to the next scene. Damn that was hard to watch
@@olc7222 Yeah! I skipped it too. It was too much for me!!!
I think my favourite part about this episode is the behind the scenes stuff where they started laughing at Michals small tv
john's squeaky laugh is so cute lol
Thank you!! I've been saying this episode is the best representation of Michael's character. This is the most underrated episode for sure.
Michael talking about how he burned his foot is one of the funniest Talking Heads Michael ever gives!!
Great episode.. me personally.. i love the episode "Night Out" when Michael and Dwight go to NYC to hang with Ryan. Great all the way around
Is that Night Out or Launch Party? I think that was a two-parter.
yeah strong contender, it's the best for me for that season.
I actually hated Toby for a while because of that episode
@@Mrschneebly0110 yea he got creepy with Pam for a minute lol
@@mrportfoleyo yeah that was kind of cringe
I don't know if there's a single best episode....but there is a single best moment.....when Michael buys Pam's painting....which proves, that, Michael Scott is indeed, the World's Best Boss !!!
My personal favourite episode is 'Gay Witch Hunt'
I laughed my ass of every minute🤣
Gaydar from Sharper Image😂
“Dinner party is probably the best episode” *False*
*Fact* Stress Relief is the best episode
That Michael and Stanley incident episode (lost the title but let's call it did I stutter) was one of my favorite, you can see how Michael manages between his hurt feelings, his craving for subordinates love and his obligations as a boss. Also Stanley letting go of his stoic habits for a minute after basically 9 years witnessing his boss enormities was refreshing.
One of the few solid inner office episodes short before Michael left
What a perfect episode of The Office looks like:
-Michael getting himself into trouble
-PB&J being cute
-Jim messing with Dwight
-Emotional moment that results in character growth for one of the main characters
-Strong cold open
-Amazing jokes throughout
For these reasons, I think "Money" & "Casino Night" could possibly be the best episodes of The Office
one of my favorites is the one where everyone is arguing whether hilary swank is hot or not. and they make it a thing.
that's easily one of my favs. it's so absurd and it truly goes nowhere and that's just... so beautiful. I think it's one of the quintessential Office episodes
I love that Angela and Oscar become best friends in the end. She was so horrible to everyone and became so nice once she found a friend and was able to express her love to Dwight.
I’m so glad you didn’t bring S****s T**s into this. The episode that cannot be named.
I'm refusing to watch that episode ever again, fr.
I could barely watch it I was just so uncomfortable
The office is supposed to be uncomfortable
hey Mr. Scott
whatcha gonna do
whatcha gonna do
make our dreams come true
I like Golden Ticket episode the most. The way Michael gets into character, and the back and forth between him and Dwight.
IMO the best episode was Season 5 Episode 15 with Dwight's fire drill and the CPR scene.
It’s called hentai and it’s art
-Stanley Hudson
English teacher: “See Michael used the grill as a form to get compassion to make him feel better about his insecurities of no one liking him.”

Ah, a worthy opponent, our battle will be legendary!
Nothing like this episode or the overall season 2 could make me or my friends laugh this much
A perfect episode is when Dwight screams Michael
Avery the Cuban-American “Bears, Beets, Battlestar Galactica”
"Oh, that's funny... MICHAEL!"
my favorite part of the episode is how Ryan gives him some medicine & Micahel isn’t grumpy anymore idk why 😂
I love the second to last episode when Dwight becomes manager. I feel like all the underlying feelings that the office staff have for each other, and you assume are there but only ever get hints at, finally come out.. it might seem like a bit of a break from people's characters but so satisfying to end on
I FREAKIN GOT IT RIGHT! I KNEW IT WAS THE INJURY BEFORE HE EVEN SAID IT! NOW GET ME THAT FOREMAN GRILL!
It's weird how these video essays with really good editing comes out kinda quickly.
The office has saved my life several times. I owe my life to this show..
I want my baby my baby my baby my baby
I want my baby my bbay my baby my baby
Chiliis, baby back ribs!
watching the client getting drunk and happy is one of the funniest moments of this show
