I would assume that they likely made sure "pizza by Alfredo's" wasn't a real business so insulting it on the show wouldn't lead to a loss of business or something
I only disagree with Phyllis sleeping with Stanley. IMO it was Packer. Michael said in an early episode that “Packer had once slept with every girl in the office.” Even though Packer points at her during the sexual harassment episode, Stanley’s affairs weren’t mentioned or discovered until later in the series
On the office ladies podcast they mention on the episode meredith gets run over one of the writers wanted merideth to die and for Michael to panic and hide the body, but that idea never got past the concept stage
That would have been way too dark. There are some deleted scenes that could have been kept, and some stuff that got into the show that is not so great, but in general they made the right choices.
Is it just me or am I the only thinking the Safari Manslaughter scene was extremely disturbing? I mean seeing Phyllis break out into tears over describing the horror of the accident just sent chills down my spine.
I used to like Phyllis a few years ago but after rewatching the office and this video, i kinda found her... Idk I just don't wanna be around someone like her, she's kinda disturbing person lol and I feel the same way about Stanley ofc no hate to both the actors.... It's just that, I feel like both of them are capable of being the most terrible kind of people... Like people who'd torture and kill you lol
Ed Helms was supposed to leave after his character was sent to anger management but the writers loved his improv skills so much that they pushed to keep him on the show
Wait people think "thats what she said" came from the office? I thought the whole joke of it in the office was that Michael still uses that super old played out joke and expects to get a laugh
Yes. I watched it when it came out. And I watched the UK office in the early 2000's, like 2003 maybe? And even at that point "That's what she said" was getting played out
"that's what she said" has BEEN SAID in 1950s comedy, possibly predates that even. And the fact that Michael says it like it's his own catch phrase is part of the joke, it's so predictable and as old as the hills. I thought everyone was aware of that😮
I'm younger than you, I remember it being a big joke in like 2009 era youtube, Ray William Johnson used it a lot etc, maybe the office made it unironically popular again
i've talked a lot to my mom about why Pam faked PMS to get out of volleyball in HS even tho she liked it and she said she did the same because it felt different playing it in PE with all her classmates than by her choice with an actual team so it actually could make sense
I've watched the show twice and never even suspected that Angela had a crush on Roy! It makes me think if there were more plans for this plotline 🤔 Also Jim's Roy doll was kinda creepy 😅
Also, Jim doesn't know what a rundown is but a few eps later, when Charles asks Michael, he seems to know what a rundown is or would've at least asked Charles upfront what it is. Another example why michael was best suited as a boss for the office
OMG! i’m so glad someone else finally mentioned that conference room table, i’ve always been so interested on where the heck they put it when it’s just the chairs in the room 😂😂
i love dinner party because it's funny but also because it's relatable. i had a gf who was like jan and we always fought, sometimes in front of friends
Gabe as the Scranton strangler makes sense but you are missing key things that can really make him the Strangler. The Halloween episode when Erin has Gabe grab his horror video. And in the video he snuck into Stanley’s car and Oscars grand mas house showing he knows how to break in and sneak up in people
I’m really disappointed no one has listed Creed as a Scranton Strangler suspect. The guy showed up to work splattered in blood (coincidentally on Halloween), was a cult leader, and assumed he was getting arrested when the cops showed up for a narcotics tip. He also stole Creed Bratton’s identity (and possibly murdered him). I personally think the Toby theory is weak.
Wow. That was good. And the last one (Jim/Cathy) blew me away. It shouldn't have, but it really surprised me that they were about to do that. So glad that they didn't go through with that (or with the horse-Niagara idea) although the show did still get awfully unrealistic the last few seasons.
the whole michael going to college thing was just a joke, its not a plot hole or anything, it was just michael trying to relate to his workers in some way.
Wow, this video was amazing! I learned so many obscure facts about The Office that I never knew before. For example, did you know that Jim and Pam's proposal scene was the single most expensive shot on the entire series? Or that Steve Carell called in sick during the writers' strike with a case of "enlarged balls? Or that Phyllis Smith was an NFL cheerleader and a burlesque dancer before the filming "The Office"? I also loved how the video explained the origin of some of the jokes and references on the show, like how the computers in the office had internet access and the set was kept at 64 degrees Fahrenheit because of Carell's sweating condition. This video really made me appreciate the show even more and I can't wait to rewatch it with these new insights. Thank you for making this awesome video!
Dwight's coat is one that the army of the former Eastern-German military used to wear. That ties his roots closer to Germany; he mentions that he had ancestors that were supposedly Nazis but much of the German he speaks is rather Dutch, maybe that's because his German was basically "third hand"
One thing I’ve never heard anybody mention is how Pam explains that Asian Jim is their “actor friend, Steve”. Then when Jim puts Dwight’s things in the vending machine they also mention that the vending machine guy is Jim’s friend “Steve”. Probably not the same guy, but just something I’ve noticed.
For those who won’t let go of the “Tobi being the strangler” thing, the guy that plays tobi who’s also a writer for the show has literally said himself that tobi isn’t the strangler, everything that points to him being the strangler are just coincidences
Sometimes you gotta look a writer dead in their face and say, "You're wrong." If they're all coincidences then they did to much to their own disadvantage. After Toby said he "carries his passport everywhere he goes" it was solidified for me.
some of this information is missing context that would make it make sense. For example, Roy wasn’t annoyed at Michael’s jokes, he liked the event because there used to be an open bar. He was upset that there wasn’t an open bar anymore. Also, Michael rode the bike in the christmas episode just as well as he did during the cold open. He can ride it for about 7 feet without falling. And, the thing about Michael and college; if you continue the episode, you will see that it becomes evident that Michael doesn’t actually know anything about college, because he says the professors used to throw parties. It was just a way to ask Jim about his barbecue without asking. There are a couple of other things, but I’ll just keep watching. lol
When Holly returns in season 7, Erin asks “Guys who is Holly?”, but she should’ve known who she is because she was at the company picnic where Michael and Holly acted out Slumdunder Mifflinaire
22:11 if Kevin was donating sperm to a highly vetted sperm bank than this would support the theory he is a secret genius. After all, I doubt someone as ridged as Jan would not do her homework before choosing a facility.
just want to note 2 things: - the pam volleyball thing makes sense. i was the reversed, i wasn’t participating a lot in art classes in junior high/high school, but took some art classes over the summer because i wanted something to do. pam probably goes to volleyball summer camp for the same reason, even if she doesn’t play much in p.e. - i’m also really into unsettling creepy things but will not stand the sight of a roach
Awesome video! Thank you for putting this together. I didn't know about the part where Jim recorded some of the intro show clips because he was excited about being on the show.
Damn, man .. I give you two 👍🏼👍🏼 for this upload. I LOVE The Office, often binge-watching it at LEAST twice a year, and this video went over so much info that I'm tempted to watch it again, even though I literally just finished it a couple weeks ago. I thoroughly enjoyed the breakdown of all the theories and conspiracies, as well as all the background and the behind-the-scenes info. I'm gonna cut this off here, as I could go on and on. REALLY enjoyed this. Thank you.
Watching this video is more important than anything else. I have to do all week. I’m literally not working anymore right now so that I can watch this because I freaking love it so much. 😂 THANK YOU!!!! I thought I was a huge office fan, but I am totally loving all of the stuff that you are pointing out. This is amazing.
4:40 problem with this is the guy who played Toby, who was also a writer on the show, said that none of the writers even thought about Toby as the strangler. Was never even considered.
I purchased the entire series! Absolutely obsessed. This was great and can’t wait to NOW catch these things. Really enjoyed this and appreciated this insight.
Did you buy it on physical media? I'm a born-in-the-90s millennial who came of age at the very end of physical media being the mainstream way to consume content. I preferred pirating everything, even then. I still do. But with especially iconic media, like The Office, I'm coming to understand that sometimes it's best to have physical media on hand. Disney/Hulu have been editing their content for mOdErN aUdiEncEs before streaming-all the big corporations are doing it. And they do it without saying anything, you'll just notice stuff missing. The thing about physical media is that it can't be altered and it can't be taken away from you for the crime of "wrong think." The latter really is happening. Steam-where you buy, store, and play digital copies of *purchased* video games-has fully removed entire accounts of users who say the wrong thing. And when I say remove accounts that includes the entire library of games that were bought and paid for and were _supposed to be_ as much "yours" as a physical copy. No refunds. This was a few years ago, at the time I first came across it I believe there were talks about a class action against Steam. *TL;DR elder emo discusses the significance of owning physical media*
I honestly thought that when Michael said that Toby was the silent killer and not radon and toby replied "we'll see" he was implying he himself was the silent killer and was warning Michael. this would have been another piece of evidence for Toby being the scranton strangler.
17:15 Tier 5 is it's implied that Michael is lying in order to seem like "one of the guys." Michael says the professors also went to the parties, which seems spurious at best with Oscar and others doubting his words
what about when Michael was getting criticized for still seeing Donna and he says why is it okay for Stanley to cheat or Phyllis to cheat. Phyllis says hey and then Michael says on her diet
GREAT video. I watched the office 2 times then watched it a third time sometimes in the background while doing other stuff. It never ceased to amaze me how many deep the sory was and how many easter eggs and hidden jokes were burried in the plot. Even seeing the whole thing 3 times i missed a lot of stuff. Brought me back to being 16 again watching this video. There will always be a spot in my heart for this show ❤thank you.
What a great quality video, information was well presented and very interesting. It was very amusing so I was able to concentrate well. Editing was on point but not too much in your face. Great video!!
What about when the they thought that the Scranton branch was closing. Roy went up and was talking to the accountants and was wondering what the branch closing would mean. Kevin said that some will lose their jobs and some will move. And Roy asks if they know who’s moving and Angela said “oh, don’t worry, your going to be fine Roy. You’re very strong… and capable.”and Kevin looks at her and laughs and she tells him to grow up
I am incredibly proud of the fact that I knew every single fact in this video EXCEPT for the saber printer being in an episode of Dexter. Ive never seen Dexter.
The genuine feel of the cast as actors, being able to give input on the show, it seems kept the office from making every mistake every other show has that hasn't lasted this many seasons. And, even through an actor's strike, which cannot be said of modern-day shows for damn sure.
Fundle Bundle was based on an actual kids’ show that aired on the local ABC affiliate. The real name of the show was Hatchy Milatchy, and the host was Miss Judy (not Miss Trudy). I was on it once - just like just about every kid who grew up in NEPA in the 80s.
Absolute smoke show - and super nice. I distinctly remember sitting on the set with the astroturf lawn and the white picket fence that she opened at the beginning of every show. But before you ask - no, I didn’t wish that everyone would have to be my friend.
i’m pretty sure it’s pam -> meredith, jim -> michael. jim is at his most michael in the episode where he merged people’s birthdays, but also subtly through how at the start he’s very friendly with toby, but gradually dislikes him, and how he accuses michael of not being able to make a controversial decision but ended up not being able to do the same thing. jim’s also a great salesman, likes comedy and practical jokes, and somewhat of a leader at the office. i’d like to think that if he didn’t have the courage to approach pam in casino night and thereafter, he would eventually become branch manager and starts acting like michael
The fact there's another writer AND actor strike right now is uncanny, the fact that the executives and companies that make more than they can spend in a lifetime still don't want to offer reasonable pay and benefits to their staff over ten years later. Rich actors supporting the ones barely making ends meet is a beautiful thing to see and is a good reminder of the humanity that the companies seem to lack.
Dunderpedia lists Troy (Ryan's friend) and Troy (In Threat Level Midnight, and as one of Dwight's buddies) as the same character. And the Nick the IT character is most likely the same guy as the job fair character too.
Yeah if Jim would have cheated on Pam, and they would have split (even if they got back together later), that would have ruined the show. It would have been on par with the ending of How I Met Your Mother.
Oh my gosh, I have family in Scranton and went to Cooper’s multiple times as a small child that stuck with me. I didn’t remember its name and thought I might have dreamed the “giant octopus restaurant” until this video
i remember watching the CPR training video in health occ when we did our CPR training. i wasn’t a fan/watcher of the show and now i can’t stop watching it
37:20 is missing some subtext. My immediate reaction when Pam said one of her professors said she had a lot of promise was that the professor was trying to sleep with her. In that light, the fact that she was not doing well in school suggests the professor was improving her grade until he made a move or something. She turned him down, and suddenly she was no longer the favored student
When Dwight says his fantasy is to run a bed and breakfast with the devil, he boasts about his salary: $80,000. 80k divided by 12 is $6666,66 monthly salary. I don't have to mention what 666 means. 🔥
I’m late but in tier 8 to back it up even more, Dwight tells Stanley in one scene something along the lines of “…..for everyone of those sudokus you’ve actually finished” so that literally adds up
really surprised creed was never talked about being the strangler with the tendencies across the series of the things he does and then also the social media post where he talks to himself in a mirror about it
I grew up in Central NY with Wegmans everywhere so when I noticed they had Wegmans products in the background I absolutely adored that attention to detail. Wegmans is a hugely popular chain around here and you see their store brand stuff everywhere. Very nice addition that I really appreciated when noticing
The Roy at the Dundies one can be explained pretty easily. Roy was a few drinks in by the time they were presented with the award. So he was much more relaxed and in a good mood. Plus he knew the company was paying for the food and drinks, making much more easy to tolerate Michael. But when he found out that the food and drinks wouldn't be covered by Dunder Mifflin, he left almost immediately because it was much harder to enjoy the party and Michael.
What's something that you know that wasn't mentioned here? 🤔

There are many cool easter eggs like these, but that is what I could think of off the top of my head!
I would assume that they likely made sure "pizza by Alfredo's" wasn't a real business so insulting it on the show wouldn't lead to a loss of business or something
There's a Scranton university ? How big is this city lol
Imagine if they did that and made Michael a murderer for a joke 😳
That would have been so stupid
I’m actually surprised at how good the show ended up being with the amount of terrible ideas those writers had
That would have been way too dark. There are some deleted scenes that could have been kept, and some stuff that got into the show that is not so great, but in general they made the right choices.
@@Mr99ahmad99 that's how anything gets good... with ton of ideas being thrown at each other until a great one arises.
Is it just me or am I the only thinking the Safari Manslaughter scene was extremely disturbing? I mean seeing Phyllis break out into tears over describing the horror of the accident just sent chills down my spine.
was that scene not on netflix because I don't remember it? also the one with stanley's hentai, I don't remember either of those
@@federuiz06 No, it’s a deleted scene, same thing with Stanley’s hentai.
i also thought this, the scene was too serious
I used to like Phyllis a few years ago but after rewatching the office and this video, i kinda found her... Idk I just don't wanna be around someone like her, she's kinda disturbing person lol and I feel the same way about Stanley ofc no hate to both the actors.... It's just that, I feel like both of them are capable of being the most terrible kind of people... Like people who'd torture and kill you lol
@@Retro-Coolkid735I’m not sure about the manslaughter scene but I’ve definitely seen the Stanley hentai scene on Netflix (in the uk)
Ed Helms was supposed to leave after his character was sent to anger management but the writers loved his improv skills so much that they pushed to keep him on the show
I NEVER NOTICED that the Utica branch chained the copy machine down for michael's visit!!!! 😂😂😂 such a great detail
Wait people think "thats what she said" came from the office? I thought the whole joke of it in the office was that Michael still uses that super old played out joke and expects to get a laugh
Do you understand that show is old?
Yes, only the Millennial narrating thinks the saying came from the Office.
the way Michael's body goes limp on that extended Koi pond footage always gets me
I can’t believe the attention to detail given to this show. Every time I rewatch it, I find new stuff
i've talked a lot to my mom about why Pam faked PMS to get out of volleyball in HS even tho she liked it and she said she did the same because it felt different playing it in PE with all her classmates than by her choice with an actual team so it actually could make sense
That doesn’t explain why Pam looks terrible at volleyball when they show her serving though.
I've watched the show twice and never even suspected that Angela had a crush on Roy! It makes me think if there were more plans for this plotline 🤔 Also Jim's Roy doll was kinda creepy 😅
Yeah those darker iceberg theories for what’s seen today as a “feel good” show always jar me a bit
Also, Jim doesn't know what a rundown is but a few eps later, when Charles asks Michael, he seems to know what a rundown is or would've at least asked Charles upfront what it is. Another example why michael was best suited as a boss for the office
OMG! i’m so glad someone else finally mentioned that conference room table, i’ve always been so interested on where the heck they put it when it’s just the chairs in the room 😂😂
stress relief is literally my favorite episode besides the dinner party
same the best ep imo
you probably just like how the tv folds right into the wall
nooo those are my favs!!
i love dinner party because it's funny but also because it's relatable. i had a gf who was like jan and we always fought, sometimes in front of friends
Fun runs parts 1 and 2 are probably the best imo
Gabe as the Scranton strangler makes sense but you are missing key things that can really make him the Strangler. The Halloween episode when Erin has Gabe grab his horror video. And in the video he snuck into Stanley’s car and Oscars grand mas house showing he knows how to break in and sneak up in people
Yeah, but those are skills a serial killer wouldn't let people know he has
I think its possibly creed. Hes made people disappear before.
That would be to low for a guy like Creed. He is just in another league
Wow. That was good. And the last one (Jim/Cathy) blew me away. It shouldn't have, but it really surprised me that they were about to do that. So glad that they didn't go through with that (or with the horse-Niagara idea) although the show did still get awfully unrealistic the last few seasons.
14:45
there's also a scene from the episode where everyone thinks the branch is closing where she tells roy that he's strong and capable
In the 1st episode dwight hums "little drummer boy" which you dont figure out is angelas favorite song until the christmas episode ♡
I like how those icebergs video presents usually creepy, weird entries while this is almost all funny and interesting behind the scenes or theories
Tbh the Pam-Meredith one was kind of creepy ngl
the whole michael going to college thing was just a joke, its not a plot hole or anything, it was just michael trying to relate to his workers in some way.
though creed bratton is not creed bratton he implies he murdered creed bratton and stole his name lol
Exactly.
Damn, this video made me want to rewatch the show again. Awesome iceberg coverage 🔥🔥
Same, I plan on going through my 16th rewatch soon.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Dwight's coat is one that the army of the former Eastern-German military used to wear. That ties his roots closer to Germany; he mentions that he had ancestors that were supposedly Nazis but much of the German he speaks is rather Dutch, maybe that's because his German was basically "third hand"
no they were the boond? bund? which are distinctly different from the nazis
also pennsylvania dutch
his last name is literally "shrute"
I always assumed Dwight was just very close to being Amish and mostly spoke PA Dutch
In an episode Dwight mentions that he has a 103 years old grandparent who lives in Argentina
That's exactly what the strangler would want you to think
Bruh his name is Paul lieberstein
Sometimes you gotta look a writer dead in their face and say, "You're wrong." If they're all coincidences then they did to much to their own disadvantage. After Toby said he "carries his passport everywhere he goes" it was solidified for me.
@@mcgrubby_ guys toby himself said it wasn't we have to believe him!!!11!!1!1
Timmy, calm down, son. It's not that serious.
When Jim shows Pam his Second Life character, it might be a hint of his future sports-related job in Philly.
some of this information is missing context that would make it make sense.
Yoooo
22:11 if Kevin was donating sperm to a highly vetted sperm bank than this would support the theory he is a secret genius.
After all, I doubt someone as ridged as Jan would not do her homework before choosing a facility.
also this wasn't a deleted scene like he says, It's in the episode 100%
I could be wrong but Im pretty sure that Jim's "Roy doll" was actually revealed as an action figure of a character from Scrubs.
just want to note 2 things:
- the pam volleyball thing makes sense. i was the reversed, i wasn’t participating a lot in art classes in junior high/high school, but took some art classes over the summer because i wanted something to do. pam probably goes to volleyball summer camp for the same reason, even if she doesn’t play much in p.e.
- i’m also really into unsettling creepy things but will not stand the sight of a roach
I knew most of the facts from this Iceberg but ya putting all of these theories into this video was an amazing idea. Loved the video dude :))
Keeping Michael's return a secret is a much-appreciated gift.
Thank you.
Ayyy, really glad you enjoyed it!
@@Liuss ABSOLUTELY! I'm fact, I've saved part two so I can watch it tonight!
@@grumpus_hominidae what???!! There’s a part 2? Gotta go thx
….there’s no part 2 ..sigh
@@macjrc yes. There 100% is a part two.
Edit: I stand corrected. The iceberg that has a part two is from 10k productions, not Liuss. My bad.
22:25 haha that edit makes it look like Michael is expectating his own presentation xd
Sus
Of course he’d say that..
Paul Rudd was really praying on Steve Carrel's downfall telling him not to do it
I'm on my 5th or 6th runthrough of The Office and hadn't heard a lot of these. Great video dude!
The thing about physical media is that it can't be altered and it can't be taken away from you for the crime of "wrong think."
The latter really is happening.
What a fantastic video. Currently binge watching The Office for the 10th time and there was so much i didn't know.
You need to talk to a doctor about "attention deficit disorder".

Glad you enjoyed it!
You’re very strong… and capable.”and Kevin looks at her and laughs and she tells him to grow up
@@brdlyjms uh yeah that’s what I was doing. Saying how it is likely that Angela has a thing for Roy
I am incredibly proud of the fact that I knew every single fact in this video EXCEPT for the saber printer being in an episode of Dexter. Ive never seen Dexter.
Andy wearing a short sleeve shirt to mirror Dwight was my favourite.
I must say, I was worried that Polish "The Office" would have been a disaster, but it turned out to be really funny! Thanks for the video!
Did she also have an amazing body under the costume?
One of the best videos I’ve seen in a while
Oh my gosh, I have family in Scranton and went to Cooper’s multiple times as a small child that stuck with me. I didn’t remember its name and thought I might have dreamed the “giant octopus restaurant” until this video
i remember watching the CPR training video in health occ when we did our CPR training. i wasn’t a fan/watcher of the show and now i can’t stop watching it
36:45 there's a scene on the finale of the show where Phyllis and Stanley give each other a look and go somewhere alone together.
I believe in a deleted scene she says the name of the professor and they're a woman but who knows 🤔
"He's the one we most medium suspect." Perfect. Just perfect. 😂😂
When Dwight says his fantasy is to run a bed and breakfast with the devil, he boasts about his salary: $80,000. 80k divided by 12 is $6666,66 monthly salary. I don't have to mention what 666 means. 🔥
Wow, I’m surprised this doesn’t have more views. Great video
Glad you enjoyed it!
I could’ve sworn John was wearing a wig because he had to buzz cut for Jarhead with Jake Gyllenhaal, not Leatherheads with Clooney….

Are you planning on making more of these? I would love to see ones about Parks & Rec and Scrubs
And Malcom in the Middle even though it’s a throw back
Greatest Office video I've ever watched on TH-cam.😊😊😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Saul Goodman as Micheal would’ve been hilarious
Saul Goodman, hiding from the Feds under an assumed name Michael Scott! lol
i knew i was in for a good iceberg when kevins fraud was in teir 1
I’m late but in tier 8 to back it up even more, Dwight tells Stanley in one scene something along the lines of “…..for everyone of those sudokus you’ve actually finished” so that literally adds up
Was suprised not hear anything on Darrell(craig robinson's character) or Holly Flax.
This video was amazing, and I love the office. Greetings from Argentina!
really surprised creed was never talked about being the strangler with the tendencies across the series of the things he does and then also the social media post where he talks to himself in a mirror about it
Great video to watch to pass the time! Keep making videos on the office!!!❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥
Damn that roy doll hanging from a noose in jim’s rooms is very creepy
I grew up in Central NY with Wegmans everywhere so when I noticed they had Wegmans products in the background I absolutely adored that attention to detail. Wegmans is a hugely popular chain around here and you see their store brand stuff everywhere. Very nice addition that I really appreciated when noticing
Its not a Roy doll, its a JD doll from scrubs, they were both highly watched shows and in ratings competition at the time
The Roy at the Dundies one can be explained pretty easily.
I love hearing people try to pronounce Yuengling. It's the oldest running brewery in America and it's pronounced "Yingling"
Just came to say this.
the mere fact that brodie here said "Chile" the right way earned him both a like and a suscriber
Did you know Phyllis makes the message sent noise in an episode?
It's mind blowing the proposal scene cost 250,000$ that's insane! It was a very well done and heart warming scene, it got the job done
