    These videos are brilliant mate. Totally helped me servicing my 2012 street R (which has some ever-so-slight differences). I bought mine used @ 20,000 miles and let's just say I was a bit horrified when I removed the sprocket cover.

      Yes to be fair greasing the swingarm bearings is not a 'service item' more preventative maintenance as its well know that they not greased very well from factory.

    Great set of vids mate!
    Think the swing arm bearings re-grease is part of the 12k service? I replaced all the swingarm linkage caged needle bearings (drag link and drop link) on my Speed start of the year, all of them fubar!

      I decided at 3 years it was worth doing. It's beyond the schedule but it's definitely worth thinking about doing them. I'd hate to think what they would have been like if I'd waited till 12k :)

    Gunky? You have no idea!
    Try my old bandit's after 52000 miles having never been taken off. Now, THAT was gunky!

      TheSussexBiker you legend! Thanks very much! I was considering refreshing the linkage bearings and send off the shock for a service. That video helps me a lot, as it will save some cash on the work done at the suspension centre!
      Cheers!

    Why Is this necessary in the service?

    • @TheSussexBiker
      @TheSussexBiker  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not on the schedule thats for sure but as you can see they needed lubricating and this in turn means a longer service life :)
