So very heart breaking. I love this area and have stayed in the Chalet Village area in the past. To think that is where the mother and her two daughters lost their life, as well as others in the area, is beyond imagination. God Bless each and every person who lost so much. Praying for them all. Thank you for posting this video.

Great job! So very sad to watch, though. My husband and I lost our house a day later in the Tornado in Athens, TN. I know now how it feels to loose everything. Then again, we lost just things. 14 lives were lost in the fire and I herewith would like to express my deepest sympathy to the families of those who got killed.

This is probably one of the best videos made. It really shows how devastating this fire was and how much changed because of it happening. I love Gatlinburg and will be back there next month. My heart goes out to everyone there and those affected by this. Such a tragic thing. Stay strong. We all got your back. Much love.

wow..this is so very sad and knowing people lost their lives,homes,vehicles,everything..gone. I live in the south and we are very strong people when we come and work together and they will rebuild but it will be a pain stakingly slow process and i really hope the IRS and places like that gave the people who lost their homes and all of their belongings a break on their land taxes because they have all been hit very very hard.I also hope that Dolly Parton's charity telethon that was on will stand by their word and continue to issue the promised $1000 a month to help them rebuild stays put but have already heard that people who were told they would receive the money haven't gotten any help what so ever and if this were to be true, that would be so cold hearted of them.God bless this whole area of the smokies and i plan on going up there in March 2017 to help in anyway that i can.

Sweetie, trees are full of water and usually survive even the hottest forest fires. That's why you can see scortched rings inside of the tree from past forest fires. The VAST majority of the trees will remain standing in ANY forest fire. Even in drought conditions.

Trees are literally full of water. You will only see scortched bark usually. Homes and cars burn to the ground before trees will.

They didn't a day out of taking 14 people's lives. What a shame 😥 Must not had a Judge that lost anything . I bet you if he had they would be under the jail. How in the world can them young men sleep at night??? I bet they offered to go back by up there and help anyway they could. They was not given house rest nothing. They did the crimes they need to be doing hard time. You can't get your family back that lost. By the hands of evil. God have mercy on their souls. vengeance mine said the Lord. Their day is on its way. Feel no sorrow for them or their parents. I don't know how the parents sleep at night . such of them in jail.
