Wilma Windsor - I couldn't understand why you said that until I read my comments and noticed it looks like I was saying something inappropriate... a person who made horrible comments had the screen name "communism burn in hell" and I was replying to them and telling them I reported them! I didn't notice that it looked like I had typed something inappropriate instead of replying to a person with that screen name. I promise I wasn't trying to be disrespectful to anyone... I was just telling that person that I had reported them. :-/ I'm truly sorry if I offended anyone. Perhaps the best way to make this better would be for me to remove my replies to them so that it doesn't appear I typed something offensive.
I've removed my past comments so that no one would think that I posted anything mean. my heart truly is with the people of Gatlinburg. I guess I was just "feeding the trolls" by telling the person who made nasty comments that I reported them.

I've vacationed there many times and used it as a get away from life's problems. When he said, Chimney Tops, my heart sank. That is my favorite place in Tennessee. My heartfelt prayers go out to everyone in Gatlinburg and the surrounding areas.

I was in Gatlinburg the evening it caught fire. One of the scariest days of my life. The camera doesn't do justice to just how hazy it was. Came out of our hotel around 6pm and you couldn't even keep your eyes open because of the burning sensation. We were fortunate to get out safe unlike others. Videos like this are hard to watch because Gatlinburg is my favorite city in the US.

My family and i were staying in our vacation cabin in Cobbly Knob for the holidays. That Monday we left at 430 pm for Sevierville due to the smoke. Our cabin burnt down and i am so blessed that myself, my son and his family we are with me. I still hurt for the neighbors who lost all. Great videos now and past.
Watching some of your older stuff and my heart just breaks when I watch this. Glad to see both the towns are bouncing back after this!

you gotta remember to that while this was a fire that was illegally started there are fires that get started to clear out forests which cause them to grow back even more beautiful than before... So yes its gonna be strange looking for many years to come but once the trees start to age again the smokies will look more beautiful than ever

Thank you for filming this. It is much better than the news stories. I heard the Mysterious Mansion was completely destroyed... was this filmed before or is it still like it is shown in the video? Anyone know? I live a little over four hours away from the beautiful city of Gatlinburg and I travel here at least three times a year. This is truly devastating. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone nearby
I cried when I saw the videos during that awful time.A place of my childhood that I love on fire seeing the residents trying to leave and get to safety-horrible

The cabin we were in during the fires burned down the day after we checked out.the smoke was with us for hours on our way back to Florida. Going back for the first time this October for 10 days. love y’all’s video’s keeper coming.

Nice video. I loved how you just complained about the seat-belt alarm and then the video sped up with the music. It was like you went into overdrive. It definitely looks like the smoky smoky mountains. I hope everyone is coping and that the community can band together.

We were there the following weekend. They were really happy to see visitors. Will was so young then..
We were there in Pigeon Forge that following weekend too, was suppose to have gone to the Christmas Parade in Gatlinburg, it was a bitter sweet trip.
I live in Western NC and I thought our smoke was bad. Thankfully, they got our fires under control. Hopefully, they'll be able to get this under control so people can return to their homes and businesses.
I have been there before...it's sad to see that people's homes,churches,and etc burn down I hope everyone's safe!!!!!!😢😢😢
Wow I have never seen Gatlinburg that empty in my life. Every time I've driven through it the sidewalks are swarmed with people. It looks so different.

We haven't been there in a couple of years but used to go at least once a year. We normally stay right near Dollywood - I believe it's called Parrot Mountain.

I've never seen how these wild fires effect the town's...amazing job at showing it all..that's just crazy!!it's sad to think of the wild life that die from the sometimes recklessness of people not being responsible though I don'tknow what caused this fire...thank you for taking us along!

Great job on the video/commentary. Been to the area just about every year. Best place to tour with the motorcycle. Hopefully everyone down there can recover from this and get back to normal. The rain appears to have helped a little.

THANK YOU! I was not finding out any good information about downtown Galinburg. Your documenting all is wonderful. It breaks my heart that so many people will be without homes and place of business. Have you done the "Artist Circles/drives"? How are they?
I kept up with this fire from day one. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever watched on TV. My heart really went out to the people that dealt with this major disaster.
Today at 4:00pm ET 12/1/16 uploading extra/cut footage from this vlog just hours before the wildfires destroyed Gatlinburg. Thank You for all the kind words! Please Pray for the missing in Gatlinburg/ Pigeon Forge

Me and my family visited Gatlinburg this year in April and he passed by lots of places we've visited. It's really sad to see it like that now :(
We went shortly after the fires and everything was up and running. They now have a memorial park. It’s still beautiful as ever but you can definitely see the damage. We are going back next month and i can’t wait. This is my favorite place in the world. Watching this still breaks my heart. Oh that old guy that said something about the wind not helping the fires is a local. We talked to him last year in June for like a half hour. Such a sweet man!
I will never forget the wildfires I still have a hard time just watching the video's I shot. I want to do some rebuild video's soon. Going back to those area's is hard on the hart. Thank's For Watching

Mech0p I live 20 minutes south of Santa Barbara Ca. A paradise for most people on this planet. I'll be honest. That is my idea of paradise. I wish I could live in a place just like that. So sad it's in this situation.
Stanley Potter same here one day when I get the money up its where I'm gonna live because I like the city life and not having to drive an hour to get gass and food but I also like the country life where I can live in peace without all the noise and drive 5 mins to go fishing

As I boy in the 1960s I lived in Long Beach California, and there were days when the air was almost that bad.
You forgot the earthquakes. Fires are just insane in California

My dad had just left a couple days prior to the fires. We came down the following march and took some pics of the damage. It was horrible. I couldn't imagine going through that.

My eyes are burnin watching the video
I live in Knoxville, about an hour drive from Gatlinburg. A lot of my childhood was spent taking weekend trips up there, either going to Cade’s Cover or Dollywood.I remember driving home from school the day this happened. Usually before I get off the highway going towards my house, you can see the Smokies perfectly, not that day though. You could not see a thing. It’s weird seeing a town that usually has so many people in it year round, have nearly no one in it. One of the most somber days in my life.
I'm about 45 minutes to an hour north and we had ash and smoke for weeks before the big fire that came through Gatlinburg....so sad to see this and remember that day....I can smell(if that makes sense) this video from the weeks and the day leading up to this...

I find it kind of sad that I wasn't as scared about the mountains being burned as I was scared about the Blingshot Barnaby animatronics being burned haha. But I still feel for those who had to go through what happened.

Just wow! I watched the live videos and it was scary! Hope you got out before the areas in Gatlinburg were burning although the smoke obviously got thicker. I would have liked to have been there but it would have scared me to death!

Just a week ago it was smoke city in the Asheville area and the smoke got thicker as it was getting dark that evening it smelled like a giant camp fire also. It wasn't good to be out in.
This was such a frightening and sad time for people who live or were visiting here at this time.

It’s about to be four years in about a month or so..... I live in Gainesville (3 hours away) & I remember there was so much smoke here as well that while I was in 11th grade biology I could see a US flag outside the classroom window but those few days you couldn’t & anytime I looked up at the sun you could just see a little white ball in the sky.
I forgot to mention how on the 27th I went to Brasstown Bald in Georgia and from the top of the mountain we could see the thick heavy smoke in the mountains.
