    This is super helpful! I was originally leaning towards Tein as that was the ideal setup for many imports in the 2000's but I wanted to give BC Racing a fair objective assessment based on others' findings.
    With that said, when it's time to do the upgrade on my 3, I'll be going with the Tein's. 🤙

      LMK when you're ready so we can map out the whole thing. There's more stuff you may want. These are in stock and ready to ship now.

    "I wish we had better testing methods... ones in which we could quantify the results for you" First of all, you guys are already the best suspension reviewers out there. But have you tried some of these G-meter apps to measure the bump vertical acceleration? Then we'd have a ton of sick graphs to compare, which I'm sure the forums would go crazy over. Android's is called "Physics Toolbox Sensor Suite"

    The Teins are way cheaper too I paid $800 for my flex z and the BC boilovers were over 1,300 for my car

    how do you adjust the dampening for the rear without taking it out?

    • @zevcentric
      @zevcentric  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There’s an access hole on either side of the upper mount. You just need to remove the grommets.

      EDSC can be used on the Tein coilovers which allow for electronically adjusting the dampening from inside the car once hooked up.

    Have you guys swapped in swift springs on the flex Z’s to get a little more spring rate?

      No. You cant swap the rears anyway.

    So how did the Tein flex z compare to the MPP sport? I don’t see any reviews for the MPP coils on your channel. Or maybe I just missed it. Thanks

      Can't compare a refined custom valved damper like MPP to that of the Teins. They are just two different categories. It's hard to compare a non damping adjustable MPP coilover to the adjustable Tein coilover and the MPP adjustable coilover is more than double the cost as well so they really aren't comparable. It's important for you to determine your desired lowering height, climate/salt/snow, and what other vehicles you want it to ride similar to.

      @@zevcentric Great answer thank you. I was more interested in your thoughts of how the MPP sports compared in comfort level to others for someone who isn’t price sensitive. Would the MPP sports be ok with 1 finger gap maybe half finger gap and still be compliant compared to other options? Really appreciate your insight. Love of reviews on the channel.

      @@Brian_N I think a 2 finger gap is more ideal for the sports. Thats what i have on my 3. I am at a 1 finger gap now and you can definitely tell you’re engaging bumpstops in the rear pretty quick. Sorry i missed the sports prior. That is definitely a far superior product at 2.5x in so many ways. Lmk if I can help you source those. MPP is currently our flagship product for our 3’s.

      @@zevcentric Got it thanks. I think I would be ok with a 1 finger gap. But I think 2 finger is just a little to high for my liking. Is it possible to trim the bump stops? I prefer the MPP products but maybe have to look into the Redwoods. I appreciate a good suspension set. I ran MCS and JRZ on my bmw m3. I don’t plan on tracking the car just going on spirited drives and canyon runs. So aesthetics are about as important as the handling for me. Maybe even slightly more towards aesthetics and comfort.
      I am still research phase and your channel has been immensely helpful. So thank you 🙏🏼. Will reach out when I am ready source the items I want!

      @@Brian_N the issue with any damper you choose is engaging bumpstops at that ride height which are there for a specific reason. Trimming them is less effective if it is a quality bumpstop. You would use packers instead. Just keep in mind you need to limit compression stroke to prevent impact to your battery pack and jack points. Making the shock any shorter than MPP would not be advisable. Where are you located? Air suspension will allow you to drive higher while airing out for the look you may want.
