Great Video! It fits like a glove to me. First my problem was backswing, then not rotating hips followed by not shallowing the club . Now I got all these covered and still not getting shaft lean, I reckon in order to achieve this I was not projecting my torso forward enough. Will give it a go this week and lets see how it goes Keep on the fantastic content and good holidays!
Fantastic lesson! Working with an actual student who so happens to share 1 of my faults. Great before and after results - would have loved to see how he could incorporate the change back into a normal stance - sadly I've seen golftec / S&T students who end up having the bowler stance as their norm. This and the left arm off the chest lesson I think will do tremendous good for my swing.
Great Video. But Pros have at impact the hips turnend more than the shoulders. How does this fit together and how can I come back to a normal foot position without falling in the old mistake?
Thanks! That's correct about the shoulder vs. hip turn at impact! This drill can help the player who is too closed with the upper body find the feels needed to get the rotation pieces to neutral. In terms of the feet...you can slowly work back to normal 1 inch at a time...whatever you hit the best from you can play with. Use video feedback to stay on top of the things you're working on👍
Hey Steve! The whole idea here is to prevent early extension and get the upper body (trail shoulder) FORWARD and turning AGAINST the hips To prevent tilting back too much, staying too closed, etc. Good to prevent early extension I would say is best!
eric, i've noticed in my swing when i hit a real bad shot i can see my right knee pop out and i hit like a low blocked shot out to the right and kind of a shank and i could never figure out what is going on.@@CogornoGolf
Wow. I have this same exact problem. Nice drills to offer a solution…hopefully. How often should one do this? I guess until u stop the old habit. Lol. Thanks for sharing.
Hope it helps! Lol until it becomes normal...yes :) We recommend 20-30 reps with videos no less than 2-3x per week..... I would look at it more like an ongoing basis....like working out/eating well/stretching.....you're never really done....just continuous improvement and maintenance with the golf swing
Great video. Thanks Eric! (edit: I wonder what the origin story is for the guy in the blue shirt in the background. He is always doing that one arm swing but I never see him hit the ball. You should get him on a video)
Need to define what is forward and back. Is it back and forward relative to ball ( 12 to 6) or the target (3 to 9). Your various videos seem to flip-flop the definitions. Recent Tilt video talks about left shoulder going low and back. Is that back 9 or 6?
thanks for reminding me of this drill. shame on me for not doing it every pre round. i have always thought the right knee goes more down the line and not at the ball. almost the right heal kinda rolls inward as a first move
Hahaha the guy in the background in the blue shirt needed more hugs as a kid. He’s that on guy at the range that is staring at everyone and is being dramatic to get attention. He probably has taken note to when you are there and filming. Hahaha just playing and thank you for helping the game grow and get better.
The guy in the background has that "pointer dog" finish. I do that all the time. And I'm pretty sure Eric already did a video on that. Probably needs to do another one.
Eric! Great lesson! Keep up the good work!
Thank you!!
Amazing such little things that can cause big problems. Your problem solving is something I would have never thought of. Thank you!
Appreciate it Tom!
Thanks Eric for sharing this lesson , I am going to try the Bowler drill, as I have similar issue as your student. 👍
Thanks Anthony! Hope this one serves you well----one of my favorites get rid of EE and keep body inclination to ground!
Wow this man is a Genius ! Number one on TH-cam how can i get a live lesson is the question?????
Thank you!
Here's the link for in person lessons you can keep an eye for openings:

Appreciate that! Love it---hope this one helps ya!!
What an awesome lesson! Great job Eric. This is probably one of the best drills I've seen for early extension. Amazing!!!
Thank you! Hope it helps your game!

really interesting lesson
Hope it helps your game!
That’s a fire lesson Eric. Love it
Appreciate it!
This is one of the best lesson vids you've put out!
Thank you!
Excellent lesson! This will help tremendously!👍
Thank you!
Really appreciate that time stamp there 👍
:)
Brilliant stuff
Thanks Andrew!
Eric you are so good of a teacher 👌
Thank you, Brian!
Great instruction! I wish I knew this years ago. But better late than never.
Thank you! 100%!
My impact and his are very similar. I did a drill like the bowler drill and pulled my right groin but I think I was making full swings.
Ruh Roh.....maybe try shorter and slower first :)

Totally relevant stuff . Wish u lived nearby! 20:46
Thanks Wayne :)
Wish you were in Southern CA!!
:)
the bowler drill is good but it's hard to pivot. good for training the hand and arm action?

gonna work on it.@@CogornoGolf

Eric, big fan of your content. I see you using the bowler drill. Would you classify yourself as a full on Stack and Tilt instructor?
Thanks David! No I would not.
Good golf doctor😊
:)
Standard 😉
Expert work, Eric
Thanks! Learned a bunch from Andy and Steve over the years :)
Great video. Thanks Eric! (edit: I wonder what the origin story is for the guy in the blue shirt in the background. He is always doing that one arm swing but I never see him hit the ball. You should get him on a video)

Really describes my pull flip. Gotta work on the bowler drill.
Yessir! Hope this helps

Thanks for the feedback Chris---will work to communicate more clearly moving forward with that! I can see where that would be confusing.
Does this apply to the driver swing as well?
Hey Brent! You can for sure do this with all clubs IF....IF....you have the same sort of swing issues yep!
Great video Eric, like to shoes. Who's the maker?
Thanks! Olukai!
@@CogornoGolf Thanks, hope you don't mind if I get a pair 😃
How do you get those videos side by side at the same time? That would be so beneficial
We do this through editing but you can do it on things like LIVEVIEW or video analysis programs like COACHNOW we use
How many times did you have to say stop at arms parallel and the dude keeps making a full swing
Haha EVERYONE does that :)
thanks for reminding me of this drill. shame on me for not doing it every pre round. i have always thought the right knee goes more down the line and not at the ball. almost the right heal kinda rolls inward as a first move

I bet he’s a none stop talker on the course , giving out some awesome advice , and the “ oh yeah I hit a 76 Yesterday “
The guy in the background has that "pointer dog" finish. I do that all the time. And I'm pretty sure Eric already did a video on that. Probably needs to do another one.
Nice think my head is a little back too that's where my pulls are coming from
Could for sure be! Hope this helps
It's so weird seeing my local driving range in these videos lol. I could go see Eric for some lessons😂
:)
Useful lesson. Looks like he's hitting a driver instead of compressing an iron
Thanks Andy!
How many of you tee off with an iron, leave your diver in the bag bc you're scared?
We gotta get that fixed!!
I would also say he is swinging too hard as well Eric!!
For sure could neutralize some!
Can barely make contact doing this drill…
Hmm....send vids to www.cogornogolf.com.....should be easy to fix! Or just don't do this one lol
