How was the trip through Hell, Oli? Dying again, but slowly, by people who look and act like they don't know what or why they're there. The nurse cuts out his organ which seems it would make problems worse instead of solving/helping anything and she acts like it's something she's gotta do. Even when it "ends" you just repeat the process, such is a quality of Hell. Eternal damnation. Fuck, this song is brutal. On a side note, I've always thought the 'peace' sign looks like an upside down broken cross. Notice how it's on the front of the van with the number of the beast below it. And how the red cross on the side of the van and on the nurses' hat is an upside down crucifix signifying even the help is there to further your torment. It's also fucked up that the driver is himself but senseless, being that bandages wrap his head while he's floating through the air like an out of body experience while some chick cuts out his organ for no apparent reason except to keep the pursuers busy which seems like it does nothing to stop them. Kind of like an allusion to your mind, body, and soul being tormented. His mind being the senseless driver, Body is the person in the back, and soul is the version of him that's floating through the air. This whole album has songs that seems like the setting changes from Heaven to Hell and some songs seem like they have aspects of both. This is one that takes place in Hell. Tons of weird imagery is putting it lightly. Awesome music, however.

This is his hallucination as he is very close to death. I'm not sure about the people chasing the car, but this is one possible explanation: the first is Serpent. This is probably a reference to the serpent in the Garden of Eden. Self-injury was like a forbidden fruit that caused problems. The next is Leech, which represents his addiction. The next is Consequence, which is a cop. This represents all the times that emergency vehicles were sent to his house to take him to the hospital. (This can happen when someone tells a person at a helpline that they've cut themselves.) The next is the Enabler. I'm not sure about the person, but I'm guessing that something enabled him to keep cutting. Maybe the fact that the Enabler is wearing something on his wrists is significant. The next is the Dirt, which is the horrible situation where he found himself after getting so deeply into self-injury. All of these people have become a part of his life, and they chase him when he tries to run away from them. The only way to "lose them" is for Oli to die. This is why the nurse rips out his heart. He has gotten so addicted to cutting that he feels it's impossible to overcome it in life. The nurse's action probably stands in place of cutting fatally. I don't know why they chose this comparison. The end of the video is Oli accepting that he's going to die. It is only by this that he is able to escape from the demons that chase him throughout his life. The moral of the story is this: Cutting is FUCKING SCARY.

I can't relate to depression as I've never been depressed but this song and its lyrics are just so heavy hitting it puts you in the mind of someone with depression and it's just so sad.

How was the trip through Hell, Oli? Dying again, but slowly, by people who look and act like they don't know what or why they're there. The nurse cuts out his organ which seems it would make problems worse instead of solving/helping anything and she acts like it's something she's gotta do. Even when it "ends" you just repeat the process, such is a quality of Hell. Eternal damnation. Fuck, this song is brutal.
On a side note, I've always thought the 'peace' sign looks like an upside down broken cross. Notice how it's on the front of the van with the number of the beast below it. And how the red cross on the side of the van and on the nurses' hat is an upside down crucifix signifying even the help is there to further your torment.
It's also fucked up that the driver is himself but senseless, being that bandages wrap his head while he's floating through the air like an out of body experience while some chick cuts out his organ for no apparent reason except to keep the pursuers busy which seems like it does nothing to stop them. Kind of like an allusion to your mind, body, and soul being tormented. His mind being the senseless driver, Body is the person in the back, and soul is the version of him that's floating through the air.
This whole album has songs that seems like the setting changes from Heaven to Hell and some songs seem like they have aspects of both. This is one that takes place in Hell. Tons of weird imagery is putting it lightly. Awesome music, however.

looks like he's trying to get away from all the parasites in his life that consume him, like the parasitic politcians, cops, girlfriends, etc; but in the end they catch up to him; thats why in the end he says," it never ends"; their leeching never ends; the nurse who he thought he could trust, ending up being a parasite too; thats just my interpretation of the video lol

His struggles as an addict “never ends”
The enabler (person who enables his addiction)
The cop (illegal substance has consequences)
The nurse (to save him from overdosing)
The Dealer (Drug dealer chasing him for money)
She slaps him to “wake up” from falling into a overdose (opioids work like that)
He says “not again” because it’s not his first time waking up in an ambulance 🚑
It’s showing his helplessness in no other way of getting out, he’s stuck in a vicious cycle, a deadly one.

This song compares self-injury to an abusive relationship. I disagree with the opinion that it's about an actual relationship. The video doesn't make sense if that's what it means.
"Started off as a one night stand. Lingered to a fling.
The sirens and the sergeants didn't seem to mean a thing."
He started cutting without the intent of getting addicted. He just wanted to relieve his depression and anxiety that one time, but the urge to cut came back. Even after being taken to the hospital in an ambulance (hence the sirens and the ambulance in the video) and having cops drag him to the hospital (that actually happens by the way), he kept cutting.
"Hide your fangs all you want, you still need the blood.
Tell us that it's different now, you're up to no good."
No matter how much he denies his addiction, he still needs to cut.
"Take my hand, show me the way, we are the children that fell from grace.
Take my hand, show me the way, we are the children who can't be saved."
He feels hopeless in his situation.
"One more nail in the coffin. One more foot in the grave.
One more time I'm on my knees, as I try to walk away.
How has it come to this?"
He knows that as he cuts deeper he gets closer to death, but every time he tries to beat his addiction, he's overcome with depression that puts him in a hopeless state.

But this has got the best of me. And I can't seem to sleep.

When he doesn't have to cut, he feels fine, and he promises that he'll simply refuse to pick up a razor in the future. However, the urge returns, and it's all he can think about. He can't sleep without cutting. He feels like it dominates his life.
"You say this is suicide? I say this is a war.
And I'm losing the battle. Man down, man down."
The outsiders don't understand his struggle and misinterpret his self-injury as suicide attempts. In reality he's cutting to keep from being depressed, but it's taking over his life.

This is a war I can't win."
This brings back the metaphor comparing self-injury to a relationship. He feels like his cutting is an abusive girlfriend who's destroying him.

I've already interpreted this part. The last line shows how self-injury ruined his life.

I've already interpreted this part.

He has lost the battle against his cutting. It's completely taken over his life, and it's all he can think about.
The video for this song goes along very well with the lyrics. It shows Oli in an ambulance connected to a machine giving him blood, due to how much he's lost from cutting. Then he's floating along a road in a position as if he were hanging from a noose. This is his hallucination as he is very close to death.
I'm not sure about the people chasing the car, but this is one possible explanation: the first is Serpent. This is probably a reference to the serpent in the Garden of Eden. Self-injury was like a forbidden fruit that caused problems.
The next is Leech, which represents his addiction.
The next is Consequence, which is a cop. This represents all the times that emergency vehicles were sent to his house to take him to the hospital. (This can happen when someone tells a person at a helpline that they've cut themselves.)
The next is the Enabler. I'm not sure about the person, but I'm guessing that something enabled him to keep cutting. Maybe the fact that the Enabler is wearing something on his wrists is significant.
The next is the Dirt, which is the horrible situation where he found himself after getting so deeply into self-injury.
All of these people have become a part of his life, and they chase him when he tries to run away from them. The only way to "lose them" is for Oli to die. This is why the nurse rips out his heart. He has gotten so addicted to cutting that he feels it's impossible to overcome it in life. The nurse's action probably stands in place of cutting fatally. I don't know why they chose this comparison.
The end of the video is Oli accepting that he's going to die. It is only by this that he is able to escape from the demons that chase him throughout his life.
The moral of the story is this: Cutting is FUCKING SCARY.
