I hate it so much when people call this devil music, well there's no such thing as devil music, theirs songs about the devil. All types of rock music such as metal, hard rock, punk, classic, can have songs with powerful lyrics about happiness, sadness, motivation, and express a lot more emotions. This style of music, when first introduced was considered "devil worshipping" music because of the way it sounded. Keep in mind that when this genre first appeared it was like nothing anyone had seen before. It focuses on aggression and volume, and those two are typically held with a negative conotation. I see no one saying its devil music here in the comment section though. Im working on a worship band that is influenced by BMTH's style and musical value.

I came out of my "emo" phase a few years ago and started listening to more heavy bands like slipknot, Metallica, ffdp, etc. but there's one band that will always be amazing for me and this is it. bmth is very unique with great quality, being more rock and grungy and less screamo makes them great for my particular taste of music! \m/

Honestly, I think we're lucky that this band is still here. Screaming is really hard on anyone's voice for a short period of time, never mind 9 years. I've seen a lot of people saying that Bring Me The Horizon sucks now, with their album Sempiternal. Saying there's too much singing harmony in his screams. Well honestly, to me, I really like this album. Their way of playing has changed, but it's not that their style has changed (which most of those people tell me) and it makes everything sound quite nice. Plus, this fits them really well. I even think a little better than before.
Bring me the horizon old music just makes me wanna headbang hardcore and be all mean and crazy and shit, and their new music just makes me feel calm and think about life.. Still love them but dont get me wrong xD

If BMTH's last albums were all like Count Your Blessings, i would get tired of them and never listen to them again. You know what's difficult? Sucking ass at English and having to look up the lyrics all the time. I'm Swedish and have difficulty understanding what people are singing in this style of music, but damn I love this style of music xD
if you go through a process of self reflection and self awareness this step (hating/disliking the "negative or disruptive" parts of you) is very important not only to actually indentify these problems but also to build a strong case against them and start to fight them. Its sometimes helpful or necessary to overexaggerate the ideas to achieve this as a form of motivational energy and not as a selfharmful energy. It can be good to use negative emotions towards a part about ourselves to help fight it but it can also backfire and have negative results, amplifying the problem because its hard for some ppl to distinguish between what makes you a valueable person and what parts of you are just human flaws that everyone has and has to live with or try to fight them.

I hate it so much when people call this devil music, well there's no such thing as devil music, theirs songs about the devil. All types of rock music such as metal, hard rock, punk, classic, can have songs with powerful lyrics about happiness, sadness, motivation, and express a lot more emotions. This style of music, when first introduced was considered "devil worshipping" music because of the way it sounded. Keep in mind that when this genre first appeared it was like nothing anyone had seen before. It focuses on aggression and volume, and those two are typically held with a negative conotation. I see no one saying its devil music here in the comment section though. Im working on a worship band that is influenced by BMTH's style and musical value.

if you go through a process of self reflection and self awareness this step (hating/disliking the "negative or disruptive" parts of you) is very important not only to actually indentify these problems but also to build a strong case against them and start to fight them. Its sometimes helpful or necessary to overexaggerate the ideas to achieve this as a form of motivational energy and not as a selfharmful energy. It can be good to use negative emotions towards a part about ourselves to help fight it but it can also backfire and have negative results, amplifying the problem because its hard for some ppl to distinguish between what makes you a valueable person and what parts of you are just human flaws that everyone has and has to live with or try to fight them.
