How has it been?
It's crazy watching this video in 2020 and seeing how far both these artists and their bands have come. Bring Me The Horizon and Architects are some of the biggest names in the alternative music genre, absolute household names.

funny i have heard both bands names. and i mean i'm old as sht but i try to check out stuff and keep on top of it. i generally don't like scream and clean boy band type vocals, it's so formulaic as soon as i hear it i'm like ok, and usually seconds away from turning it off. but it kind of trips me out that i just realised this band has been around for 20 years. like. what. lol. i'm just perusing through their years. i like the earliest stuff the best. it's very 80's crossover punk mixed with you know more djenty and voi vod type dissonant squeaks and chokes type sht. basically a congalmormation of the sht i loved in the late 80,s and was myself starting to do. They good enough. Apparently have done well for themselves seeing their views on every video, seem to have hit a nerve, quite impressive.

I listened to this song for hours the day after my father died. More specifically during his funeral. It kinda helped me to go through it all. It's a very sentimental song to me and i rarely listen to it because of this.
This is the best song on Suicide Season, by a long shot. Right after this would be Chelsea Smile.
And I completely agree with the people who want to see another collaboration with BMTH and Sam Carter of Architects. That would be nothing short of amazing!

One of my favourite albums, started listening when I was 13, 29 soon and still come back to this.
Whoever says they suck, honestly I'm more in love with their album Suicide Season than any other one they've made. All bands grow up and their voices get better or worse. But sticking by them with them through every song is what counts

Fun fact: 15y ago I was searching for Esenin poem and accidentally found this.
Olly made a song out of las poem that was actually written in blood before suicide.
That fact opened me whole new genre of music and I was happy ever after
I love bring me the horizon's new and old music. I do wish they go back to sounding a bit more like "it never ends" and "Chelsea smile" but they still sound good now.
I can't get over how good this song is, and Sam's cleans just contrast so much and make it so much better

i've listened to their older stuff (i came on here in 2011) and i still love it, sempiternal got me back into their music, i love it. i have most their CDs and killed them xD but seriously, the old version, where fabulous, the new version, is cool. bring me the horizon is a great band. i can only hope they dont become like other bands and change their sound to a fully different genre :|

This was the song that introduced me to BMTH when I was a junior in high school in 2011 and two weeks later I saw them live in Memphis headlining a tour with architects as support and few other bands, one of them was On Broken Wings I think.

Got into Architects from this. Listened to their first three albums, Jesus they're in a completely different league to BMTH. I think BMTH are ok, but I've been getting into much better metalcore lately, Architects being one of them.

I dont think Olli can do these type of vocals anymore. He more yells into the mic and years of touring doing it everyday almost destroyed his vocal chords

Admittedly I first got into BMTH when I first heard That's The Spirit, although Suicide Season and There is a hell are my joint favourite albums by them I still feel regardless of the stylistic changes over the years, they remain energetic songwriters!

Harry Ballard No more jumping around, his voice is lifeless pretty much, no more crawling on scene, in some of the songs his voice start to be horribly tired and the walking around on stage is not so frequent as it used to be. This is all I see in the performance from Reading 2015.
The true is that he is not the same anymore. He grew old. Everybody does. It's normal. He's no longer at the age where he's a volcano of energy.

I got to see them perform suicide season album live in leeds when I was 13. Glad to see they're still a great success but nothing can top this era for me.

At first when I discovered this band Sempiternal was just coming out and I didn't liked their older stuff, judging it too heavy, but I slowly start to love their older stuff even if Count Your Blessings is not my kind at all ^^ So thank you BMTH you are awesome !
How come bmth doesn't perform this song anymore? Me and my friends put this on our "moshing song list" for when we went to a festival. It's probably too late for me because my parents didn't even trust me to go to a concert without getting hurt. I was at least 10-11 when this came out but I found out about it like a year after suicide silence album was released. The whole alum is really good. I recommend all of their songs to people who really liked Sempiternal. Diamonds aren't forever will grab your soul just warning ya. Just the rest of bmth songs. But they are basically screaming and some epic drum beats and stuff.

I started out as a fan of That's The Spirit, then after Post Human was released, i had to get more of their heavier sound. Now idk which i like better, their old stuff or their new stuff. This is by far the best song on the album, one of my favorites. Awesome duet and i love the drumming, especially the last minute kicks ass.

False chord screaming is horrible for vocal chords. The same thing that happened to him has happened to other vocalists too. You know it's not just him trying to get a different sound because when he preforms old songs live, he can't do them like he used to.
