- What problems await you after buying a used Mercedes-Benz C-Klasse (204).
The Mercedes W204, also known as the C-Class, is a popular luxury compact car that was produced from 2007 to 2014. While it is generally known for its high-quality engineering and strong performance, there are a few issues that some owners have reported over the years:
Electrical problems: Some Mercedes W204 owners have reported issues with the electrical system, including problems with the battery, alternator, and various sensors. These issues can cause the car to stall or not start, and can be expensive to repair.
Transmission problems: Some owners have reported problems with the automatic transmission, including delayed shifting and rough shifting. These issues can be expensive to repair or require a full transmission replacement.
Suspension problems: Some Mercedes W204s have had issues with their suspension, including problems with the shocks and struts. These issues can cause a rough ride or uneven tire wear.
Engine problems: Some owners have reported issues with the engine, including problems with the timing chain and oil leaks. These issues can be expensive to repair or require a full engine replacement.
Rust: The Mercedes W204 is known to have issues with rust, particularly on the rear quarter panels and doors.
As with any used car, it's important to have a thorough inspection done by a qualified mechanic before making a purchase to identify any potential issues. Regular maintenance and prompt repairs can also help prevent problems from developing or becoming more serious. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
I have a 2013 c300 4matic and have put over 180k miles without anything major going wrong, The sunroof stopped working a while back and had to replace the thermostat around 160k but other than regular upkeep it’s been great. It’s does go through tires faster than any other vehicle I’ve seen… and brake dust has always been bad no matter what type of pads
😂 wife has a W204 and I have the W210; I’m amazed at how much Mercedes’ quality has gone down over the past 20yrs. 😢
You know what they say a car and a woman the most important thing is to have luck I had mine 2007 c 200 cdi for 5 years now and I only change my oil and filter in a timely manner no problems what so ever still has the original mercedes benz battery I like the newer ones but Im afraid I wont have the same luck again. I just dont want to sell it to some lucky dude cause I know its a very good car . Mine isnt the fastest one no chips completely stock but for me its enough to handle my bussines.I hope you guys find a good one like me 😉
I have my C 200 CDI since 2013. Had no real problems except cat had to be regenerated manually because of short distance travelling.
@rew3363 Yeah the only trouble you get is with the computer cause it's acient. You can get faults from time time but that's not a big deal.
I guess I’m have to sell my car then…
Transmission problems
Why do you read your lines like that? 😬
This just tells me that Toyota is the way to go 🤣
They're no better. They had 4 million vehicles recalled between Feb last year and this year. Gearbox and engine issues
I have w204 2011shit car i have spent a lot in many problems
1- reserve key stoped working
2- key reader stoped working
3- termostat temp sensor error
4- oil leak in water (serpetine 💧)
5- dpf catalyt blockage
6- actualy in limp mood i gues is something about turbo and valves
7-cant turn engine on with the first try all the lights go off
Should have bought a petrol instead of a Diesel.
@@centaurus5676No,he should buy Japanese car,not shitty German one!
W204 doesn't have turbos bruh
It could be the high pressure fuel pump, it’s a manufacture defect that Mercedes decided not to assess.
Why these cars have this many issues.. think buying japaneese car instead is wiser option
Sold my 2010 c350 and bought a 2008 Acura TSX, the TSX has been reliable. Gas, oil changes and brake pads its all I’ve done to it. It doesn’t have the power of the benz but then again the benz doesn’t have the reliability of the TSX.
@@Jimmyxsxdid the c350 ever give you problems
@@hectorgodinez3093 some electrical problems and the main problem was the timing chain guides. The mercedes benz tech told me that if you don’t follow the oil change intervals or dont use the correct oil spec it prematurely wears out the timing chain guides or stretches the timing chain. So I believe the person who owned it before me was not following the recommended service intervals.
@@hectorgodinez3093 im assuming it did, otherwise he wouldnt have sold it
buy japanees that will rot in 5 years..
Better buy a Lexus
Those still have expensive parts. If you plan to overhaul them or they were neglected in the past it'll be expensive.
lexus in my country is 2 times the price of same year mercedes. that's why I opted for MB instead
I regret buying w204 , complete plastic piece of shit ..
Father-in-law gifted my wife a w204; I regret letting her accept it 😭
