Thanks for this, can you advise if the 2013 Astra j 1.3dtsi has any major issues (even though they say it is underpowered) that I need to be aware of? I know about perhaps as part of the natural wear can be the turbo, the timing chain, dpf? Can you comment on that and if anything else is out there to be aware of and keep an eye on. I got this as a family car for long freeway trips a month ago with 121K miles, had to change front break pads, glow plugs, and a small turbo gasket. Other then that it seems to be running great. The previous owner washed the dpf and now I am maintaining it with Shell's best diesel and some additives (from time to time). I would like to keep the car. I drive it normal, some longer trips once a week. No crazy driving (2-3K rpm from time to time). Thanks in advance.

Never had a grinding in 3rt and i drive mostly agressive. Have it since 2015 the 1.4 cvvt Never any problem, it laks of power after 130km/h anyways in spain max speed is 120 anyways. Very versatile, lots of space, specially when you fold the seats down. Even transportet a washingmashine in there.

Did not do any research. These trucks are very reliable and these issues mentioned are few and far between.

Own 2012 1.8l petrol for 9 years now. It is great family car. Nice to drive in the city, little pain on highway due to 5 sped manual, but 70mph is fine. Fact is this car is Opel / Vauxhall Zafira build on the same production line. So easy to find part. Problems : clutch cylinder, all 4 coil spring changed, windshield washer pump and ignition coil module (shows only error code, car driven to garage few days later). Non of these problem stops the car. Even non functional clutch (happened on trip in Europe) let me drive another 500 miles during night on highway to my destination. Oil leak mentioned in the video is minor fault accepted on MOT, problem is rocker cover gasket (£7). In 9 years and 50 000 miles not bad. Don't buy 1.4l turbo petrol. I don't know about diesel models and automatic. Consumption 8-9 l in the city, 6-7 l out.

I asked a BMW dealer and the Timing Chain is considered a lifetime part and has no replacement cycle in terms of milage or age. Of course, problems can occur anyway at anytime.

I have a 2007 with 170k mileage. Over 4 years and 50k km I have replaced: thermostat ($150), one front wheel drive switch ($150) and steering rack ($250). After 220k mileage due to wear I replaced all original front wishbones with new ones ($1000). For 220k the turbine has been sweating oil, not replaced yet. The car drives in the city and is very pleasant.

I disagree. This is a luxury car, not a sports sedan. I have the S320 and I love it. Does not lack power at all. If I want to really step on it, I drive the BMW.

Don´t buy a Nissan Juke. I own a Juke 2015 with 99.000,- km. Now the cvt failed totally. Repair cost are more than 11.500,- Euro. Sometime ago the Nissan-dealer said, a cvt oilfluid change is not necessary. Bullshit. Never ever Nissan.

Father in law have a 3.5 v6 with 500 000km on it with just normal maintenance he is not a car guy and it has been exceptionally reliable hardly any problems replaced a front shock once very impressive
