In this video I show you my mistakes then replace the newly restored broken aftermarket OBS Chevy truck mirrors. In the end I am happy ithis happened I love the new mirrors. Everything used in the video can be found down below.

The Rustoleum was mixed 4 parts paint / 2 parts acetone / 2oz Majic catalyst. The pieces came out great.
If you plan on doing something similar, test something small first to learn your recoat and dry times for the products you choose. Your local temp and humidity will effect your project. :)

I guess you have great taste 😁 my black paint job is temporary its going back to purple flake in the near future. Just wanted it all one color while I work on other parts.

Tips, before removing the 3 bolts holding the mirror. Shove a rag in the door below the 3 bolts. You want loose them if they falls.
I’ve just removed my 454 mirror style on my 96 and put on the original ones. I’ve always found it to small to look into the mirror. But they look great.
Same here I love the shape and look. The view able space is alittle small.
Thanks you lol. Total common sense but you don’t don’t think about it until you have too. I lost like 4 mirros nuts in my doors 😂. Somtimes they get knocked out of crevice and they annoy this shit out of me. Pisses me off just thinking about it 😂.
Where’d you get your door panels dash and seats?

i just put these on but i feel that the visibility is less now
The sport mirrors definatly have less visibility then the original. For me the look comes first, I adapted.
that's what I'm thinking maybe I will get use to it
Need to do same on my obs but think I'll wait till I get the new door panels.
That was my plan too, get the inside good first then start on the outside. 👍

Where did you get those door panels from been looking for some the exact same way
Coverlay door panels. Check in my playlist for the door panel install its a while back. The link is in that description for the video. The are the all black no fabric on top version. They are great 👍
Why didn't you roll down the window? you could have easily held the mirror in place, instead of reaching around the rolled up window, just saying. Otherwise nice sport mirrors.
Yes i should have mentioned that. Thank you. At the time my battery was dead. I jumped it to pop the doors 😁
Does anybody make door panels for the OBS that don't look like a cheap piece of crap? If I'm gonna spend $500 on something I want it to look nice and a simple replacement isn't what I have in mind.
I'm happy with the coverlay ones they have the most choices. I would start with that if you want higher end pay the extra money and have them fabricated in a style that you like.
