Nice video. I review it every time I fix my breaks. I’ve got an 09 Vibe with the 2.4L engine. The caliper cylinder requires a special tool to twist the cylinder head as it’s pushed in. I can borrow it at my AutoZone store thankfully.

Straightforward and informative - thanks. When pressing the piston back in is it necessary to purge the brake fluid that's been used close to the caliper? Some schools of thought say that this fluid has been compromised by the heating and cooling of the brake assembly.

Really missing you check clean grease glide pins. Had four brake jobs in three years, asked my mechanic after the second and third to check and replace if necessary. Turns out my model of car destroys pins and boots. Even at 40k miles for brake jobs is excessive. Pontiac Vibe. Great other than the brakes and drivers seat.

You did not mention to open brake fluid reservoir, before you put C-clamp

I just changed someone's pads today and forgot. It evidently has some kind of pressure release cap.
It made it to driveway very easily. I also forgot to grease slide pins. I didn't see him do that either so I feel better. I don't do this much any more. It was just a favor. I'm rusty & making those little mistakes.

So, the guide pins are on those last 2 bolts put on correct? I did not see those get greased.
I'm glad tho because I changed someone's pads today and spaced it.
