So true about the torque as a newbie or not it definitely keeps you VERY alert
This video is really amazing for me personaly Rafa i had bad experiences learning to ride.
The bike is great, but for a beginner it can be a bit to twitchy.
@@newbierides your bike is just WOW mashallah brother
@@builder481 haha it is an awesome looking bike and it sounds sweet too
I got a 23 xsr700 as my first bike. I believe taking a course and having a leveled head will help in learning how to ride any bike. Im a bigger guy so a 300cc was out of the question for me lol I also understand that not everyone thinks/responds/process things the same.
It's amazing. I just bought a 2023 MT-07 in Matte Raven Black as a first bike and i wouldn't change a thing.
Congrats man! It is an awesome bike. It feels a bit too torquey at low end for what I need it to do :). But it is an extremely fun bike.
That headlamp looks way better
I kinda like the new one too. This one was upgraded with LED lights, so it works great, even tho I don't really ride at night.
I'm still very unsure about which bike that I am going to get as my first. My plan is to take the MSF course first to gauge my skills and hopefully be good enough for the MT-07.
The MT is a great bike, but not very good on high speeds on windy days. But if you will ride more in the city it is great. I wouldn't take it as a first bike, the throttle can be a bit too twitchy for a beginner with a lot of torque. As a second bike it would be great. I would buy a used cheap bike 400-500cc as a first bike to master throttle control and also you will likely drop it. I took the msf course and bought an R3 after, dropped it on an uphill that I had to slow down to turn into parking garage. I learned throttle control fast, but at slow speeds when doing sharp turns, specially sharp slow turns on an uphill, it is very easy to drop it.
it's been quite a while when 300 cc's are considered beginner bikes.
This bike has alot of torque but it's slow asf for 700 cc naked.I started on a ducati hypermotard 950(I'm 6'7) and my wife started on a mt07 (she's 5'9).Starting on a lighter, smaller cc bike is a better idea but we wouldn't do anything differently 😊
To each it's own experience. I'm glad I started on a Yamaha bolt instead of this, super heavy but easy to flat foot and super forgiving power delivery. Once I got used to that, maneuvering this bike was so easy. I still suck at u turns lol It is possible but if one can avoid and start on a more forgiving bike I believe that is always a better idea.
I had a lot of problems with the throttle i even felt one time it was embarassing haha
Haha we all go through those steps, no reason to be embarrassed. I have been ridding for a few months now and have a couple thousand miles of experience, but still mess up a lot every now and then.
@@newbierides that is true do you have any advices on how a newbie should learn how to drive?
@@builder481 what helped me the most was taking the bike on slow twistie roads, that helped me have more control on slow turns and helped me know the bike, like gear range, when to shift gears and stuff. If possible away from cars would be the best. Once you get the basics and slow speeds, then getting on the highway is easier.
@@newbierides ok thank you rafa keep the great work your videos are really cool
