Thanks! The video went longer than usual, but I wanted to get as much information in as I could on how the aluminum passenger cars were presented in the Lionel catalogs.
Thanks for showing the various sets in the catalogs. I don't have all of the catalogs, so I found that very interesting. I have about 12 of the Lionel Lines cars. It is interesting to look at the subtle differences of the cars over time. The name plates and the wiring of the lamps and the ones that really stick out to me. Once again, a great video Al.
I finally got me a set. Mine is Lionel lines. Karl Burkhardt had a set of AMT cars . Seen them running with a Lionel F 3 AA set on the Opening of the Magic of Lionel vol 1 TM video.
Thanks, and yes I should have mentioned the large vs small door baggage car, as well as, the channels added to the fluted sides for the labels used on the other road name cars. The large door baggage cars were early 1954 production and were changed to smaller doors to alleviate the integrity issues the larger doors created.
Al, another fantastic video. Love the way you have all the old catalogs the you use as reference material just like a Lionel history lesson.
