Thank you for the video, it's great! Love the music. I agree about the tips, they are too thin while hole is huge. Not sure if anything but T5 would make us happy :)
Thanks :D yeah, I'm going for some 4" rolled edge instead, but it's hard to find some that are not too long. I would say 9" long tips are the max size that will fit without sticking out way too far. Yeah, T5 would be the best of course, just that finding a nice one isn't very easy. I need R-design, I don't want to downgrade from the premium sound system in mine, and I ideally want a fun color, and facelift of course.
@@VinnesAuto I am looking for a T5 R-design manual (atm have automatic) hopefully also with most of the equipment but at this point, it's almost impossible to find everything. Prices are also insane (I'm looking the whole EU). Did you have high performance sound in the last C30 or also premium? Wondering how's the difference.
Great video haha, quite unfortunate that the exhaust change didn't do much in sound. At least you got the old one off, which looked quite awful with all the rust and the big gap :D
I have definitely thought about it. The t5 and d4 both use the M66 transmission, have the same exhaust routing and are mechanically pretty similar. But in terms of the electronics which are very prevalent on the Haldex systems, I just don't know how it would work. The driveline might also not be built for diesel torque, and I have heard the rear driveshafts can be weak even on the petrols with a tune. I would like to AWD swap one at some point, but I do think I'll try to find a T5 for that.
With mixed driving I get around 5.2 l/100km, but with short trips which I've been doing a lot recently, I have 5.5 l/100km. All in all, not bad for the performance you're getting.
Yes, from the pipe going out of the cat/dpf (middle of the underside) they are cross compatible. I haven't found just a back box, so a cat back is really the only option. And as you will have seen, I recommend as little muffling as possible, it won't be very loud even with a straight back from the DPF.
ahh wicked thank you mate 👌🏻 mines a 2011 soo facelift. it’s also going in for a remap next monday 👌🏻 i just fancy a little noise from the 5 cylinder. such a cool unique engines 🤌
Hi Vinnes, I’ve commented before asking about insurance as a young driver on a d4. Happy to say that I’m going to view one this week !
Good luck with it!
Another great video, dude always waiting for the next one keep up the great work!.
Thanks :D Editing as we speak, this is going to be a bit of a different one...

Thanks :) Yeah, I guess a diesel will always be a diesel xD It was nice to replace the old rusty one though, yeah.
Thnx for the video, it was interesting. What do you think about AWD conversion? Is it possible to D4?

@@VinnesAuto yeah diesel torque it’s not a joke))
What’s the fuel consumption?

soo does petrol T5 exhaust fit these ? i have a c30 d3. and can’t find a back box at all for it

And it's important you choose one for the correct version. (Pre-face or facelift)

why not just have "Rakk røyr"
Because that would be unsophisticated
The DPF kills any pleasant sound, unfortunately. :(
Yeah, I've heard, but I thought I would at least give it a go. At least now I know for sure.
