- As they say, Charity begins at home, Similarly, Sustainability must begin from home.
Here is the house of Mr. Sunil Mysore, the founder of Hinren Engineering. Many Sustainable practices like Rainwater harvesting, Solar energy, Composting, Cool roofs, Agro-Voltaics, Solar cooking, etc are adopted in this house.
It is a 42-year-old house and all technologies incorporated here are retrofit solutions added at different points in time.
There is a very strong nexus between Water, Energy, and food. It is very important to address them together rather than in isolation. These sustainability experiments are studied Vis-a-Vis the water energy and food nexus. More about it is in the link/s below;

Nice Stuff! your work has been an inspiration for me. I have just finished building our own 5.3KW rooftop solar system and now will be moving to rainwater harvesting as well. A quick question - I have installed 12 Panels of 445W Waree along with 12 Enphase 7A Microinverters. so far system is generating about 20-22Units/Day. is it underperforming or par in terms of performance. Thanks

Sir do you require any water softening system for this setup of yours as it consists of use of ground water which might contain lot of hardness compared to Municipal water supply? How do you address this problem?
We use well water that is shallow aquifer water . That does not have any hardness . Water is at 20 feet depth.
