    Wow! The devils tower does just kind of fill you with awe when you see it up close! There is nothing else like it around there, so imagine the old indigenous tribes, when they first happened upon it! It was definitely worth seeing! Thank you for showing it to us home stuck bodies! And the prairie dogs! They are just so cute! Why is it that prairie dogs in the USA, are a little bit shorter, and a little bit rounder, then other prairie dogs? But they sure are cute! Thank you guys, for showing us the monument, and the little prairie dogs! It was wonderful to wake up to on the miserable, cold, wet, sunday morning!

      It really is an awe inspiring place and you can feel that it is sacred ground to the natives too. In regard to our prairie dogs, we think they just eat too many cheeseburgers. 😄 Glad you chose to go on a virtual adventure with us while the PNW does what it does best. We sorta miss that sometimes.

    You guys are right about Wyoming being beautiful. Grand Tetons is one of the most beautiful areas I've ever seen. Flat parts of the country in my opinion is Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa and Illinois. Very flat boring states, lol. We visited Devil's Tower but I don't think we paid to enter, think just saw from side of the road, but made a life long impression. I think the tooth was a prarie dog tooth. My gosh, such a peaceful and beautiful area there. Awesome geological formation! Great video guys, and yay I saw my name in the credits 😊. I'm a proud supporter. Have a great day!

    • @TheAdventureCloset

      We still haven't been to those flat states you mention. Well, a small part of Illinois we have. That's cool you've seen the tower too. The views outside of the park are pretty good so you didn't miss too much. Oh and we are proudly displaying your name. Hopefully it brings some attention to your channel too.

    • @marknorthrup7646
      @marknorthrup7646 ปีที่แล้ว

      Flat does not mean boring necessarily, there are some really good rock hunting sites in those states, and you'll often see more wildlife where there is more agriculture. Just notice the increase in roadkill in those states compared to the west.

    • @outdooradventureswithfayde6832
      @outdooradventureswithfayde6832 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@marknorthrup7646 definitely good rockhounding spots, really every state has them. These guys show us that 😊 if there's cook rocks Charlie and Liz will find them. Driving through those states are boring to me at least. I lived in Illinois most my life and still go to parks and rockhound there. Most boring were Kansas and Nebraska of all states I've traveled. Parts of Illinois and Iowa can be quite pretty, I guess. I mean no offense to anyone living in these states. 🙂

    I would agree that these locations should be named what they were originally called. Ok, I'm not all too sure about the avocado salsa on top of oatmeal. But if you say it's good I would definitely try it! I definitely need to get an America the beautiful pass. I go to the lake often and it's $25 for one vehicle to get in which is crazy. I remember when it was free and I'm not that old. You're not kidding about the no one's open for 24 hours anymore! I live in Las Vegas as you know. This is always been known as a 24-hour town. Try to get fast food somewhere at 2:00 in the morning. Good luck! Las Vegas is no longer a 24-hour town unless you want to gamble. As always guys another great video well done!!

    • @TheAdventureCloset
      @TheAdventureCloset  ปีที่แล้ว

      The oatmeal thing is good. Do it with egg though if you dare to try it.. Eggs on top of plain oatmeal, salsa and avocado.. Bam! And yes you should definitely get the pass if you go often to the national parks and monuments. It pays for itself.

    Those prairie dogs sure are plump! Make a tasty meal for coyote. My father told me he used to hunt prairie dogs when he was growing up in Montana. If I remember right, he said a government agency paid one cent per tail he brought in. The government was trying to eradicate as many as possible because their holes were dangerous for cattle and sheep, and their burrowing and colonies ruined agricultural crops. I asked him what happened to the rest of the dog and he looked at me with his one good eye (he was diabetic and had lost sight in one) and said, "Tastes like chicken." With ten kids to feed during the twenties and thirties, his mother would cook just about anything, even snake. That too, tasted like chicken. Maybe that's why you don't see as many as the warning signs suggest are out there?
