The Battle for Macragge was a crucial event in the lore of Warhammer 40,000. It also happens to be the first ever boxed set that I got when I was getting started with the setting (4th Edition of the Tabletop game). So it holds a special place for me. I still have most of the tyranids that came in that set and some of the scenery. After almost five years of Making almost exclusively Warhammer Fantasy content, we are now dipping our toes into the grim darkness of the far future. Until now we have worked and released a long episode on the Drop Site Massacre of Isstvann V, a lore video on the Scape Marines Scouts and another one comparing the Orks from Warhammer 40k against the ones in Warhammer Fantasy, as well as one Narrative scenario showcasing the Iron Hands fighting against the Death Guard using the tabletop models of those factions as a visual reference. Plus, three original/fan made short stories. We hope you are enjoying the content so far! Mega shout out to Skrubsasuras who always delivers amazing voiceovers for these narrations. The Battle of Macragge was the first box set I bought. The whole scenario will always hold a special place of fondness for me. Also the sheer scale of a Tyranid invasion is just so terrifying. One of my favorite Tyranid story is the "Fall of Malvolion", which ends in proper 40k style.
Played the first Dawn Of War, got so psyched after that opening trailer that I went to my local Games workshop that weekend and painted my first marine.... Bought the box set with pocket money, never looked back 🤘🏻
Imagine an entrenched regiment of the Imperial Guard and a full chapter of Ultramarines dug in alongside them with Heavy Bolters, Auto-cannon, and Las cannon emplacements interlaced with all forms of Infantry weapons behind a far stretching minefield and backed up with Arty and tanks bracing for a full-in Nid frontal assualt, A single command and Hell is loosed upon the incoming relentless tide of xenos insectiods!!! Great job on this video. First time I learned about the Tyranids was when I played Dawn of War 2 for the first time. They are truly a terrifying species and a great treat to the galaxy .
Would love to see this as an animated series. I’m new to 40k but everything I’ve seen is ridiculously interesting and dark. Looking at Terra Formars, it’s possible without Hollywood messing it up for once. Henry Cavill has his hands full.
I’m a huge Tyranid fan. The fact there are uncountable amounts of them and unseen horrors yet to be encountered makes them something to be feared more so than anything else in the 41st millennium. They have to be a punching bag. Tyranids dont have characters like other races.. they only consume and are onedimensional. As a faction they are literally meant to be scary and then, after doing massive damage in battle, lose. They won against the Orks so its not that bad.. its way better than Eldar which have some pretty shit books ngl.
