Good job Choyer, the AI claude references you when im searching for lore "TH-cam channels: Channels like "Book of Choyer" are recommended for lore videos that provide overviews of different aspects of Warhammer Fantasy."
It could make for a bloody good sitcome. Imagine. Belegar, Skarnik and Queek going in adventures every day to foil each other’s attacks, tricking each other into attacks on enemies, with Skarsnik laughing like in Tarriff videos when Belegar and Queek fight, and running away in fear every time a screaming Queek or Belegar chase after him
Hey guys. For extra immersion in Total Warhammer, I definitely recommend the "Old World Mod". In there, Karak Eight Peaks are 8 provinces instead of just 1. Belegar's quest debuff reduces as you capture each of them. And you really feel the power when you capture all of them. They generate a lot of gold. It is not a perfect mod. But there are some awesome advantages of a campaign in there. One of them is that Reikland become a major superpower, opposite from what we see in Immortal Empires. It is a very different experience.
*swigs beat as the Karaz-a-karak banner forever flies over Eight Peaks in TW3 now and the Skaven are reaching Norsca levels of punchingbag for post-battle loot*
Been playing Malakai, it’s a blast and the overall dwarven rework has been awesome. Coop campaign with two buddies, one playing Elsbeth and the other playing the kislevian old babushka of the woods! All have been awesome and has been quite a hard overall campaign! Playing very difficult and it’s been incredible
Imagine a video game kind of like "Orc must die!". A tower defense genra video game where you play Dwarves setting up defenses against Skaven invasion at different places (map) of the Karak Eight Peaks kingdom. Then against Orc invasion, then both. And maybe, even (since Skarnik get the places at some point) playing with Orc against dwarves counter-attack in reverse mod. I would love such game to exist
I wish there was a mod that showed you to focus on each race while the rest of the world just quiets down for a bit. For instance, allow us to focus on the dwarves reclaiming their holds and after that have different races react after campaign victory.
One of the longest and bloodiest wars in all of Warhammer. Dwarfs, Greenskins, and Skaven. 3 factions, 3 claims, one Karak, and only one victor. Though Belegar is the only one with a legitimate claim to the Eight Peaks. And soon he will claim his ancestral home and rebuild it better than before, so that neither Skaven nor Greenskin will ever be able breach its sacred halls ever again.
The entire affair was a giant disgrace. A prime example of board room interference to shove out a despised and unpopular game and to shelve a more popular older one.
@grimsgraveyard3598 The end of times is basically the end of warhammer fantasy and destruction of the old world due to chaos invasion. Everyone dies, and the world is destroyed. However, sigmar intervention led to the creation of a new age age of sigmar where the new world is created and some of the characters are reincarnated. But the new world and Aos are worse than warhammer fantasy and the old world in my opinion
How would the dwarves even keep up with the rate of reproduction of the skaven? Let alone have the forces to fight the high elves after fighting skaven for so long in thier very halls no less?
Great video. I'm pretty new to Warhammer so all of this is new to me. I don't think this lore is very good though. It makes the Skaven too OP. If they did what they did to 8 peaks then they could do it to anyone. There's no way to beat them if they besiege you. It's kind of world-breaking. In addition, how do the Skaven and Greenskins occupy if the water is poisoned?
I still wonder why Dwarfs haven’t found out it’s Lord Quex’s realignment of lands caused the disaster of Karak Ankor, although Slanns were their former teachers, it is still a grudge to hold.
In the 8th edition Lizardmen and 4th edition WHRP Lustria, they both state it was Lord Quex, I am more a rpg person, so I bought the WHRP Lustria, it writes that.
Because the Slann are on the other side of the world. The dwarfs are not as well-traveled as the elves. I would be surprised if they knew about the Slann at all.
Well, according to WHRP, sorry I’m not a very WHFB guy and I think it’s 4e Winds of Magic, ancient Asurs and Dawis learned magic and rune directly from Old Ones, so I think Dawis know Lizardmen, and Dawis keep history books so long, unless there are lore contradictions, that’s why I am surprised Dawis don’t figure it out.
@@Wolf-yt5rz First, never apologize for deferring to the WHRP. We both know it is more fully fleshed out than the army books. Second, their records never reference the Old Ones. so while they may have been taught by the Old Ones, I doubt they are aware of it. The dwarfen legends only credit the ancestor-gods. Additionally, the Slann and the Old Ones are separate entities. Lastly, the Slann are the least numerous and most insular sentient race in the Warhammer world. I am certain some dwarf adventurer met some Skinks and Saurus, but a Slann rarely leaves his Star Chamber. Then even if he did somehow come in contact with a Slann, he would somehow have to put together the fact that this obese magical frog shook the whole mountain range with his mind. In conclusion, I just think that's too many hurdles to overcome. But that's just my two cents based on the 6th-8th edition lore. If there's something new from the 4th edition RPG that changes things.

I would love an animated series starring mainly belagar and have a few dedicated episodes to the "villains " skarsnik and queek.

There is something about Karak Eight Peaks that I just love. In all seriousness though, this channel continues to impress!
It truly is sad how the war ended there with the End Times. Honestly the way they handled the Eight Peaks was just so dissatisfying.
The end what now? Are we talking about another old wives tale, like the story about a time when Bretonnians would put women as knights?
The entire affair was a giant disgrace. A prime example of board room interference to shove out a despised and unpopular game and to shelve a more popular older one.
The end of times is generally garbage, in my opinion

One of the most iconic locations in Warhammer, and a three- way war between three legendary lords.
The Phoenix Crown eventually got a sequel and it has a ton of guards around it now so the elves don't lose the second one.
Man, Age of Reckoning was such a good game. I still remember how fun BGs were with my Goblin Shaman.
It's still alive. search for 'return of reckoning'
Amazing video as always you guys are great.
Skarsnik has always been my favorite greenskin leader
We need more people here
Whilst i appreciate the need to move story lines on. The way GW ended the old world and made age of sigmar still seams really shoddy.

Plot armor.
the skaven arn't the most united lot
The way IE has the game unfold reminds me of Erebor. The dwarven city under the mountain which has multiple factions fight for it.
