Then it might sadden you to know that I have a 100% win rate against the Lizardmen with my Orc, with a handful of Goblins, in Blood Bowl. Admittedly, that was by stealing the ball and scoring on the Lizardmen Drive and preventing them from scoring throughout the remainder of the match. Final score was always 1-0 in my favour. But, a win is a win .

@@goransekulic3671 I got a mod that lets you recruit legendary lords that fallen as long as there your own species. When I play Itza I immediately beat up Nakai and get him to join me.

One of the things I find interesting about the Lizardmen in this World is that conventially Humanoid Reptiles are depicted has somehow evil, like in Conan stories. Perhaps the association of being "cold blooded" with evil and sheer hateful malice / indifference. Also the tendency to assume that more "humanlike traits" make you more moral; hence Reptiles not being warm and fuzzy makes them in some sense evil.
What we get here are a group of creatures who are definitely not warm and fuzzy at all but are in fact very different from Humans or Mammals in general. Lizardmen are very Alien and so in many respects is their culture and no attempt is made to give them more traits, Humans, Elfs and Dwarves would find endearing. Yet these creatures are implacable, dare we say, fanatical enemies of Chaos! Beneath their Alien "cold blooded" nature they fight for the right. I like that.

the lizardmen are my favorite order faction in warhammer. their beasts of war and their war machines are basically fantasy dinosaurs which is a big reason they are one of my all time favorites.

Playing as Gor'Rok of Itza is honestly one of my favorite campaigns.
Nothing better than that(except perhaps Markus or Arkhan, but that's such a high praise)! Such a massive power trip, I ended up unifying the whole of Lustria! So fulfilling, so fun, such a power trip...it's beautiful! (I'm playing Kroq right now and it's nowhere near Itza, can't wait to try Hexoatl though!)

The Cult of Sotek lore video was the first thing I ever watched on this channel and have been subbed ever since. Lizardmen for life!
This is so cool, sotek btw seems to be based upon a brazzilian folklore story, which came from the native people talking about a giant serpent who dwells deep in the forests and attacks anyone who harms the forest. We have two of those, one of them a flaming serpent, the warhammer one seems to be based on both

It sometimes feels like listening to a dwarf historian. Which is awesome.
14:25 - 14:55 repeats itself about plants getting blood thirsty minds and ambushing the enemy.
Im still deeply dissapointed with how they got side lined in the end of the old world. Mostly because they would have stopped it, which would have been better than AOS anyways -_-
I mean, Mazdamundi and other slaan geomancers could literally cause an earthquake to shatter skaven Underways (as we all know, skaven build even less reliably than orks/goblins do) and thus prevent lustrian invasion or at least hold it for a while until defences are ready.
Majorkill outlines a better end from them than the GW ever did.

Let me preface this by saying that I'm just getting into Warhammer Fantasy's lore, and I'm loving everything so far. For all the mocking I will give GW, they are absolutely amazing at weaving fun worlds based on history, stereotypes, and conspiracies.
However, this entire thing at 11:00 is like, the most Ancient Aliens thing I have ever seen on something that wasn't Ancient Aliens. This is so hilarious to me and completely threw me off guard. It's absolutely amazing worldbuilding, and I look forward to more "IRL" allusions like this in my reading/watching of the lore.

So I've been a total war fan for a long time, and was skeptical of Warhammer as a Total War game. This past year gave them a try and I think they are now my favorite total war games. I've played a variety of factions, but I've decided that the Lizardmen are by far my favorite. I've gotta say it's been a blast learning all the lore about Warhammer, I never thought I'd get into it as deep as I have
