    On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
    If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

    If you go by the books there are a lot of newer a2a missiles that have longer range, higher speed, better off boresight capability, more maneuverable, larger pitbull radius, or a warhead with bigger lethality zone; but Raytheon really knows how to make an accurate seeker, and this is where the AMRAAM truly shines.

      There simply isn't enough publicly available data to conclude that the Raytheon's seekers are accurate relative to other modern seekers.

    • @icecold9511
      @icecold9511 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Remember that most of those missiles are intended for use against larger craft. They are heavy. That makes maneuvers against a fighter harder, and become a liability in close engagement. Like slinging 500 lb bombs in a fight. And each long range missile on a plane displaces a medium or short range missile that is more useful against fighters.
      There is definitely no magic bullet missile though. It is all tradeoffs.

      The best thing with the meteor is not the range. It's its ramjet propulsion that makes its flight energy profile totally different from a traditional missile.

    I like these informative videos! Nice way to broaden your content! (By the way, those who did business with the Europeans got screwed when they received an ASRAAM.)

    Nice little documentary. As a European I'd enjoy a similar video about the Meteor :)

    A very informative video, i have learned something new. Such a video, i wish about the R-77 and ist newest variants, but sadly there are not much public informations about those missiles. So i sugest the METEOR for an upcoming video.

    Growling Sidewinder, this certainly is an informative and entertaining video💯. Also, I have to share that I can't help but imagine how contractors pitched the ASRAAM to the military. It probably went something like "The ASRAAM...for when you have a h*** ** for the bandit, it's the ideal choice." 😎😆
