problem is copyright, since you used photos from other sources (which might conflict with commerical usage and providing credits, instead of creating it fully yourself)
Also, perhaps, while it looks nice and all, it gives it a completely different vibe, that the developers don't want (also maybe in the original there are assets shown, that ARE in the game)

Copyright? After he changed it completely how he did? I really doubt it. I don’t know any legislation that forbids photobashing if the final piece is reasonably different from the source. Probably several artworks we see in illustrations are full of untraceable photonbashings underneath all the painting treatment. The whole argument around the style might proceed, but I would strongly disagree with their decision.

@@mr_don_key I know a thing or two about that, as I work in art myself. Also, it depends on each country you are talking about. There are no unified international laws on the subject. But I can assure you that, the way he did it, there is no chance of him being sued for copyright infringement. The original photos are long buried under the final piece. A lot of artwork you see in the gaming and entertainment industry today is done the same way. This photosbashing technique is common practice in the industry.

only do some more research about the games itself ;) , putting a game in there from 'arkane studios' (dishonored etc) will just get some litigious lawyers up your 'hind ;)
