@@mrjoni54 Oh it went rather well. the dicegods smiled upon them esp when it came to sanity rolls. they managed to finish the scenario and both lived to tell the tale. We should be playing again later this week
@@dmeep Nice to hear! I started running it just this weekend myself (first time playing Coc). We had to end early just as they started investigate the small town, but everyone seems pretty hooked as of now

I ran this scenario for some friends that were new to CoC on Roll20 a few months ago...we all loved it and they were hooked...we've been playing near every week since then. I dove-tailed this scenario with "The Haunting" when they went to Boston to try and learn more about Marion Allen's Uncle....great fun

1:17:39 Asbestos as a building material has existed since at least the 1920's and has been known to be carcinogenic from the beginning, although that was kept quiet for decades.

Fun scenario. One thing though, 5% isn’t one-fifth; 20% is one-fifth. I don’t know if this would have made a difference for Lois’ sanity loss near the end (because I wasn’t tracking her total) but just for future reference...

I was debating buying the Call of Cthulhu 40th anniversary bundle for Roll20 and this sold me. Are the Syrinscape sound effects part of that bundle, or do you have to add that separately?

The FBI was the BOI prior to 1935. Usually in the scenarios I run the Feds would be "Treasury Agents"

I think so, but it makes sense from a streaming standpoint. I love this module, but it does have some serious heavy reading involved, so it looks like the Keeper trimmed it down to the essentials.

I think it's hilarious that every is getting the pronunciation of Becca's character's name wrong. It's "KAY-ko" rhymes with hay. Not "KEE-ko". That would be spelled Kiko which isn't a name.

How on earth did a switchblade do 11 damage?
I mean guns can possibly do damage in the 20's and blades are quite dangerous so its kinda believable.

Seems like there are some rules being fudged or completely missed by the keeper, who I assume works on the game...does the starter set scenario not use all the rules?
In the starter set are simpele rules, to make a easy start to play the game for new players and keepers
I know I'm late to the reply, but not only the Starter Set has simpler rules, it also is important to keep the story and session moving. At times you will find keepers/DMs looking past a few things, just so that there is a more cohesive flow in the session. This scenario was supposed to last for 3 sessions so I'm guessing that allot had been rushed, to be able to do it on a single session.
I feel like using roll20 and maps really detracts from the horror and immersion of CoC
Keiko’s voice is a bit too, seductive… idk just an observation, maybe it’s a turn on for others.

Uneven audio levels again makes this barely watchable. It's too bad because the cast is awesome.

It seemed totally fine for me. I enjoyed the cast and the Keepers voice is perfect. I'm sorry Oliver, I wasnt partial to the whole Book Salesman thing but I appreciate how involved you stayed and attempted to use every skill when it seemed possible.
To me the volume of the keeper is a little bit too quiet, but it's not that it is unwatchable at all.

I use a Chrome/Edge browser extension called Audio Channel from nim extensions, it adds a compressor to the audio that helps with uneven audio
No need to put pronouns. So lame
I wish that at least one of them had said No to participating in that particular game.
