Knoebels is a one-of-a-kind old school amusement park located deep in the woods of central Pennsylvania; about 90 minutes from Harrisburg, 2 hours from Allentown, and 3 hours from Philadelphia or New York City. What makes Knoebels so special? Ask ten different people and you'll get ten different answers. It's an amusement park with no admission necessary, free parking, pets are welcome, and although they sell some of the most affordable and tasty food you're likely to find, you're more than welcome to bring in your own outside food and drink if you like.
Their collection of rides is top notch, with some of the most beloved wooden coasters known to roller coaster enthusiasts, a lovingly restored grand carousel, absolutely insane bumper cars, and a mix of classic and obscure thrill rides that you just can't find at your average Six Flags or Sea World parks any longer. Of course, they have games galore, with the Playland arcade featuring pinball, retro skeeball, and a mix of older and newer ticket redemption games, but their collection of unique prize games throughout the park is something to behold. Make sure to check out Fascination and Roller Bowler!
Our family spent a Saturday in the park from early morning until closing, and we had an absolute blast. Yes, that's right, early morning - they allow you to walk through the grounds hours before they officially open to the public, and they even serve breakfast at the International Food Court! Although this park is a hike to get to, it's well worth the drive, and we honestly can't recommend it enough. We try to make a trip out there at least once or twice every year, and we've never had a bad day at Knoebels.

I like seeing these parks when they are not at their busiest. Has a very calming affect.
For sure. Being able to walk through hours before they are actually open for business is a unique experience you don't often get to do at most amusement parks.
@@S1ckH4ndsRBN How'd you swing that? That sounds like an awesome perk of what you do!
Knoebels is just that way, literally anyone who visits them can do this since they aren't gated. There are some other parks I've been able to visit before opening, but that's usually because I'm there as part of a rollercoaster club (American Coaster Enthusiasts). You'll see some of that on an upcoming video for Casino Pier in Seaside Heights, NJ.
Heck yeah, Knoebels!
Shame they shut down their second arcade room a few years ago. That thing was so old school, the ski ball there was just the best.
I hope they reopen that building in the near future for more than just the old time photos. It's still listed on the website at least, so that gives me hope.
