As a person who was born in Siberia - I can say exactly that after kicking engineer - their adventures only start in endless siberian winter forests

the word of key is 'variation' .... sets in @ 1:52 the train has left the station, but it's never comming ...'
All it does at 1:52 is slow down for the bridge. You can't just make a few brief tempo changes and call it anew song.
come on ... there are so many more differences between the two then just he 'tempo-change in a part of the song'. To me it's a totally different content/scenario/setting/situation etc...
Precisely; the content of the story is different, but the musical, melodic structure is the same, in the same way that Twinkle Twinkle, Baa Baa Black Sheep, and the Alphabet Song are all the same song with different words.

I can not see the similarity to depths below. Except maybe the fact that it is the same peeps.
Same chords, almost same melody (especially on "sorrow on the rails" and "let the cruel attack" in the chorus). Still great song!
The chorus melody is nigh identical. The first line especially, «In Siberia theres sorrow on the rails» vs «When the waves come rolling in, and lightning fills the sky» are basically one melody, just that Depths is in C minor and Rails is in F minor. The «Curse the wicked man who led that cruel attack» vs «If he grabs onto your boat he‘ll never let you go« is pretty similar as well.
