    Man I can remember when you were just poking around with almost nothing- you've come so far & it's a credit to you that you're able to tell us that everything (almost!) Has come out of your own pocket. For us people who try their level best to diy where we can, you're becoming a a massive source of knowledge. Thanks Tom all the best to you & your fam ✌️💪🙏👍

    I'm a mechanic by trade and after i picked up my maxim toolbox a few of the other guys in my workshop jumped on the maxim bandwagon as well, solid boxes absolutely recommended for budget options.
    Sick setup overall mate definitely have me jealous!

    Your shed is decked out bro, 1 thing I did to mine which is similar to yours and stoked with is a double roller door, got mine from Sydney Auctions with a couple small dints
    5100mm long matching colour $400, little bit of mucking around, Best $400 I've spent. No fkn around, drive straight in the middle!.👌

    You need a floor mounted winch.
    Makes lite work of pulling in vehicles & trailers.

      Great idea! I've got a big old anchor hand winch that will be perfect for this. I'll have to make provisions for a removable post when I pour the floor.

    Be careful with that Candy Apple Red spray paint you’ve got in that spray cabernet!
    I used it on my Rocket covers and it fades very quick to a kind of matte/dull satin, and loses its gloss.
    Quite disappointing, but still looks good enough for me
    (Assuming it’s the same glitter Red you buy from SuperCheap)

    Nice and neat workshop. Would be interested in sharing ideas if you're interested. I have made an entire diagnostic cart for all electrical work with scopes and scan tools and I also have one of the most insane socket draws if you've interested i can share some pics for ideas. Just remember I've post on TH-cam several tours of my workshop but its an ever evolving space so changed since those clips were filmed

    I just can’t understand a 4cyl diesel swap for a 4cyl diesel

    • @RoamLyfe
      @RoamLyfe  ปีที่แล้ว

      Reliability, aftermarket parts, size & weight, simplicity of the swap & will be pushing 250hp 700nm while getting 10-12l per 100kms! Oh and cheaper rego!! What’s not to like!? 😆😆

    • @kadegeddes4879
      @kadegeddes4879 ปีที่แล้ว

      fair enough good points but a Barra swap would b teasing me

    • @RoamLyfe
      @RoamLyfe  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I almost went the barra hey! I did price it up and tbh it would have been quite similar! The downside to a barra is 98 petrol tune and can’t get 98 everywhere, also fuel consumption is up around 18l per 100, and rego/insurance is major!
