    I have always felt your backyard garage/workshop is the absolute pinnacle of a home garage. The use of space is just so well thought out as well considering how much equipment is in there!

    You're an actual legend man! These videos are beyond awesome. So much detail, and very clear explanation along with the B-roll over the top to visually show the viewer what you are talking about is 10/10. I've subscribed to your course and am really enjoying catching up on a few videos each evening. The TH-cam channel seems to be a more of a chill vibe whilst the course is the learning area! Keep them coming :) You've got so much style man. The video production, workshop, projects and everything else really makes your work unique.

    Very nice work shop, liken the cleanness and the versatility it offers in the space it has, the floor is exceptional and adds a nice tone/mood to the rest of the garage, yes the welding table of fitting, as a welder/fitter, the precision you can get into with laser/plasma cut pieces to join with machining, allows for a lot of focus, and specialty in building, as an sigma INFJ two thumbs up!

    Epic setup Nigel and great refinements from the pervious layouts. Also props for the presentation and edit, many channels struggle to minimise repetition and overlaps between cuts, this is clean and concise
    How do you find ventilation in the mess room, especially when you had the welders in there? My metal shop tucks into my garage in a similar way, it's 2.5m tall walls on castors so I can change the size depending on the project. Even with an open top and one wall being the roller door I end up with a cloud of metal fume in the whole shed if I'm welding large sections or doing heavy grinding.

    Been looking forward to this video and did not disappoint. Such a great use of space, keen to see the new course material shot in here. With regards to the string alignment, do you put slip plates/turn plates on top of those stands so you can measure and adjust without having to lift the car?

    • @Engineeredtoslide
      @Engineeredtoslide  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t use slip plates or lift the car when aligning, I simply give the wheel a little wobble in between adjustments and correct the center. I would suggest putting slip plates (just a sheet of steel with grease) but I’m usually pressed for time during alignment and the car always feels great after doing them so I don’t think it’s far off.

      Your right it’s the cheapest Perspex I could find and measures 5mm thick. Sparks don’t harm it, in fact it’s more resistant than glass in that regard.

    Where did you source your sliding doors and tracks from as they keep the work space extremely neat and finish the storage space off.

      These cabinet's I sourced second hand but they are made locally and feature sound absorption matting behind the perforated doors. Really any sliding cabinet will do the job, cheers

    Anyone wanna watch this and drink every time he says 50x50 square steel tube? Not that my shed is much different with everything being made of 40x40 square steel tube... Also if I walked into mine and found someone had put the milling machine in the grinding/sanding/painting room there would be pointed questions being asked!

    I'm a bit late to the commenting party here, but I have a question. I notice you have a few 3 phase tools/machines in this shop. Do you have 3 phase power in the shop, or are you running them by other means? such as a VFD etc..

    How did you go about building the mess room, I'd like to do a similar setup?

      I used 50x50mm tube and then lined it with 10mm MDF sheets, the windows are acrylic and are stuck on 20x20mm steel tube frames.

      They are from a Melbourne company, I cant remember the name sorry, I bought them second hand at an office supplies auction house.
