      I'm not sure how Tuning Fork met Marty but I think Marty and Al met through the RS Liberty Club forums, as Al lives in Queensland and Marty is from Sydney I don't think they've ever lived close to each other

    I'm currently using my dads tool box that I inherited when he passed... it's a 70s Craftsman bottom roller and an unknown top box that he's had since before I was born. Every time I look at it I'm reminded of all the projects we did when I was growing up and now I get to do the same with my boys

    Tip for your lenses: Use cheap UV filters as lens protectors. Way cheaper to replace a filter than a whole lens.

      Well, uh, see - this may be a special show of its own, but this channel is still MCMTV2, and one of MCM's sponsors is Ryobi. That's a direct competitor to Milwaukee. If TSF got its own discreet channel, they might be able to get it done.

      Ryobi is a brand of Techtronic Industries, along with Milwaukee, AEG (AEG Powertools, licensed from Electrolux), Ryobi, Homelite, Hoover US, Oreck, Dirt Devil, and Vax. As far as I can tell, Black & Decker is still owned by/merged with Stanley Tools.

    I love this show because it's in Australia, I always find myself watching American car builds and it makes it hard to relate to the videos. I also like how Al doesn't buy the best gear, he gets what works.

      I tend to like Australian shows more, in generel.. I'm from Scandinavia, so a lot same mentality.
      I'm growing tired of the "I'm always selling brands" mentality Americans have. About, THIS is the best, because!.... And so on.
      Here, the best is - again - brain, experience, and what you, yourself get out of it..
      I really relate, and like Al's way of going on about stuff.
      Huge respect!

    You can turn that saw in an upright, i had a very similar one and i modified the joint (which was crappy anyways) and built a small table that slid over the cutting table, holding the saw upright and at 90 degrees. It's incredibly simple to modify.

    Nice to see someone who doesn't feel the need to buy £50k of SnapOn stuff. I've used Halfords (I guess the UK equivilent of Supercheap) own brand tools for years and they are great.

      Snap on is expensive but the main reasons we use them are finance and lifetime warranty. I will admit they are not as good as they used to be though.

    So many people are afraid of doing electrical work on their cars, would you guys consider doing a "special" on wiring? Proper cable sizing, crimping and joining the right way, fuses & relays, plug types and some basic stuff like that? Keep up the great work guys.. now go have a lemon squash ;)

    nice video guys liked the tour,i know about losing sockets,especialy in the 3/8 ratchet size,i was a mechanic for 10 years in a volvo dealership,i lost alot of torq25 and 8 and 10 mil sockets😉 and i had the same milwakee hook ratchet,it was such a great tool to use only the attatchement head broke a few times.😩

    The Milwaukee power ratchet is one of the best things for any level of mechanic. If it can't break the bolt, use a regular one and then swap. It saves so much time and pain.

    Recently bought the same belt sander that Al uses for flanges, although I fitted a bigger pulley on the motor. More belt speed = good times.

    Insulated and line your shed with cheap second hand building site plywood. Then wack in a AC system and you'll never look back. Love the videos I want to see more of them!

    Good stuff Al. I'm living the dream too mate. Work from home, hopefully be doing it fulltime soon. Missus hates the mess when cars get to bodywork time though.
