  • Hi Friends, happy Thursday!
    Welcome to the Dark History podcast, the show where we talk about that hot history goss. And today we’re talking about a new kind of gossip: the kind that could both save and ruin lives, should you blow the whistle. That’s right, today’s episode is on whistleblowers-people that saw something and said something, despite the risk to themselves. Because those in power don’t like it when you pull down their ivory tower. It’s a dirty job, but someone’s gotta do it.
    I appreciate you for coming by, and tune in next week for more Dark History.

      @ChelseaDolehanty You know it's scary darlin? America's infrastructure all of America We are overdue to replace our water pipes. If you actually look up the lead map you will see it's all over the United States not just Flint Michigan. I'm shocked most Americans don't pay attention to this. Trump was saying it over and over. Our infrastructure is crumbling. What about the fact that a corporation has human right? Do you know what that does for your voting? 1866, 1868, let's get to the juicy bit of 1978. Under the disguise of freedom of speech and equality, the first and 14th amendment. This enabled a corporation to have a human right and under that law they are allowed to fund city and state elect. Do you see how that goes? Cutting social security on the hardworking person. After the attempt on Reagan's life he bent the knee. Many individuals do not realize this but in the '80s and '90s most of our industry was sold out. Thanks state representatives. Many people do not realize this but court judgment sets law precedence. 2010/2014 in between that Obama delivered a speech stating this would open up the floodgates to international entities. Meaning they now have a human right. An international corporation. Enabling them to fund federal elect. They're in court right now over that.

      Oh I've been paying attention much more than most people. Making laws to make us criminals. Rules for thee but not for me.
      Nancy Pelosi what was it a year ago trying to convince us that it's okay for them to use their money in the money market, how else are they supposed to make money in a government job? They get a $200 fine for insider trading, multi-million-dollar trades. Which is a felony for us, and of course us plebs would never get the endorsements that Martha Stewart got after she got out of jail from insider trading. We would be felons, and have a lot of difficulties with life. From then on..
      Privatize prisons, the incentive to criminalize people. So that they could have their goods made for nearly free. Modern days slavery. It's all around. If you're not one of the chosen ones. Also, FYI, Martin van Buren his brother was 7'7, Smithsonian states that you have to be over 7 ft to be a giant. I truly feel that is the reason why none of that royal bloodline has ever ruled ever again. I think they cut that bloodline off. Yep.

I see patterns other people don't see. Much love to you and yours I hope I find you well. Truly when is enough enough. There is so much wrong going on. If justice were so easy we'd have to completely rebuild our government. They are doing stuff to us that's not okay. Disregarding any political opinions, all we have to do is look at what they're putting in our food. Organic stuff isn't even necessarily safe. There's so much food made in the US that's been banned in other countries because of how unsafe it is to consume.

      I'm so sorry that your loved ones have suffered this way. I know British and Australian forces are also guilty of similar crimes; as a British citizen I can say that many people are ashamed of their actions and enraged by it. But then a lot of people in the Western world just don't know what their government or military is doing. They assume that it must be justified, and it's very frustrating to see. Some others are a bit brainwashed, perhaps because it's too painful in their minds to accept that they've been fed a lie for many years. Sending you lots of love, friend.

      @@RealElongatedMuskrat thank you very much , this story just came to my mind: my teacher who was loved by everyone always seemed sad one day he broke down and told us about his son who was killed on his way to the school the young teen took the bus and some American soldiers stopped that bus entered and kept yelling at the passengers nobody understood their language and those soldiers ended up shooting everyone in that bus including the young boy (my teacher’s son) he told us that people brought him his son’s school books which were soaked in blood my teacher said he remembers everything as if it was yesterday. And many other stories like this, thank you again for your reply.

    • @RealElongatedMuskrat
      @RealElongatedMuskrat ปีที่แล้ว +23

      @@serenityj3222 I remember hearing of similar stories in a few documentaries, of homes or buses being burst into by soldiers screaming and yelling (as if anyone would understand or trust some foreigners with guns all screaming at you). And in more cases than not, an innocent person is killed (though usually many more than one!) because the wrong information was given, the wrong house was targeted or the people didn't move quickly enough, as if there is reason to shoot children and young people for their confusion. It's barbaric. I'm so sorry that your teacher suffered such an agony, I don't know how he has the strength to go on after that kind of heartbreak and receiving no justice for it. I think some people join the military because they are drawn to power, they want to feel in control and treat others like that, so we end up seeing these evil acts being committed by these invading forces that claim they are there to help. Big hugs to you, thank you for sharing a little bit about your life experiences here in these comments.

    I was born in Flint and live in Mount Morris and I still don't trust the water. Our water smells horrible. 🤢 And we still have really high water bills and no water settlement. What a surprise. 😮 And the rent is still rising every year. It's crazy. It's true celebrities helped us for awhile to get water but we have like 1/4 of the water efforts we had at first when we had social media presence. Barely anything compared to that now. Also what a surprise. 😅

    Them replacing the outside pipes didn't help the damage done to our in home pipes.
    My mother got cancer and suffered with heart issues, she also lost a majority of her hair and lived the rest of her life with a terrible skin rash. She use to get a hotel in a town over just to shower and let her skin breathe for a few days. I suffered fertility issues, miscarried twice and lost quite a bit of my hair as well by the time I was 24, and still can't grow it anymore.

    My Husband went to aircraft mechanic school and one of the instructors there was a whistle-blower for Alaska airlines. They were going way over inspection times for the airplanes and lying about it on paper. A lot of the parts on airplanes have to be constantly looked at and maintained so he really saved people by doing this. Theres been many incidents where people have died due to the lack of proper maintenance upkeep. He however was not only fired from Alaska Airlines but also blacklisted from working at any other airline. They even made an episode about it on the show Air Disasters.

    I really love that you didn’t feel the need to explain that chelsea is trans, I feel society love to always stress that a person is trans as if it’s their entire identity even when it’s so unnecessary to even mention. Wish more people were like you in the world. (p.s. I’m not transgender, but I come under the same umbrella and usually get confused or asked if I am since I’m very feminine presenting, but as someone who does fit in this category and has friends and family who are trans, I feel people always dehumanise us and it’s comforting knowing some people in the world don’t look at people who don’t identify or fit into societies image of who we should be, as anything but human beings who deserve the same respect as anyone else).

      So I've probably heard the name before in relation to trans things, but as far as this story goes and how Bailey told it, I literally had no idea she was trans! 😅
      Tbh, I love it too. As much as I totally believe trans stories should be told, Chelsea's story as a whistleblower in this episode has nothing to do with her being trans, and the fact that I, a trans person, didn't even notice the story being told was about a trans woman until I saw your comment is somehow *Really* cool!
