    The house feels so much more "you" now! I've been watching since you were in front of your mirror at your parents' house, so following you through your studio and then yours and Robbert's apartment and then finally getting to see you decorate your own house has been so fun! I'm so happy that you finally get your own space to design how you want. Also, as a fellow board game geek I would love to see your collection!!!

    You've done an amazing job! It proves that slow and steady does win the race. You can see the love, care and attention you've put into the place to make it your own. Watching this from my dingy student dorm, it's safe to say I'm very jealous...

    Thank you for inviting me along! I love how cozy and comfy you’ve made your living space. I might just love the kitchen/garden area best, especially in the morning when you open the doors and let the scent of the jasmine waft in, then percolate coffee to carry out to the lounging area where you rock gently in your hanging chair. I love the greens you’ve used throughout. Peaceful and relaxing as a forest. I can hear Tea for the Tillerman in the background.

    Thank you for an updated house tour! Enjoyed each moment. 🤩 Really, the way you and your husband have made the place your own still shows the respect you have for its previous owners. It's what adds to the charm of the place: old and new memories, lives, loves, and the willingness to have home in and of itself-- it all comes together!. ✨❤️ I know that this house will love you both right back, the way you both love it!

    Wow - your house looks SO amazing. Love every-single-room! So colourful, so well thought out and planned well. Its so you. Its good you did not have too much structural work to do. It took us 13 years to renovate our home. But we did turn a 1930's derelict ready for demollition into a grand family home, with authentic deco style and features, and is something I dont want to do again! Its never for the faint hearted. Well done - your hard work now will mean years of enjoyment!

    I absolutely love everything you did in your new home. Please allow me to make just one observation, I feel that the lighting in your bathroom isn't complimentary to the color of your tiles. Maybe it looks different in person? Also I'd recommend against wedding photos in the toilet but that's just my subjective opinion. I also wish if you went for a cooler and lighter color in the bathroom. That's all I have to say the accessories, arti plants and frames all look great! May you continue finding peace and comfort in your lovely place!

    Wij hebben begin dit jaar ook een jaren 70 huis gekocht. Beetje zelfde stijl en het geeft me moed om te zien hoeveel jullie in een jaar hebben gedaan! Bij ons zal het iets langzamer gaan omdat we echt wel veel meer moesten updaten, maar ik vind het heel knap hoe je dit huis al zo snel zoveel persoonlijkheid hebt gegeven. Ik hou van behang en vind ook de combinatie met de groene verf van het houtwerk heel mooi in de gang. Mag ik trouwens vragen wat voor beamer jullie hebben? Wij hebben geen tv, maar overwegen wel een beamer. Ik zie alleen door de bomen het bos niet meer, haha! Zoveel keus…

    Love this! What a beautiful home you've made. We are also working on renovating our first home - much more slowly than you have managed though! I'd love to swap out our TV for a projector. I might've missed it in another video but just wondering what projector you have? And what is the benefit of having a TV as well? :)

    • @Loepsie
      @Loepsie  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We have a Philips Screeneo U4 😊 The TV is just our old TV that we had before we bought the projector. We don't use the TV much but the projector doesn't work well during daytime when the sun is shining, and we also can't conect our Nintendo Wii to the projector. So we use the TV for those purposes, haha!

    There seems to be additional space on the first floor bordering the garden and kitchen. Is that a functional garage or just outdoor storage or workshop? It seems you could have stolen space from it and enlarged the kitchen or at least added a large pantry space.

    • @Loepsie
      @Loepsie  ปีที่แล้ว

      Two spaces, actually. One is our utility room where we also do laundry, the other is a garage where we keep our bikes, tools and recycling bins. We've considered it, but adding the utility room to the kitchen would've made both spaces less functional in the end

    Wow, you've made big transformations in the last year 😍
    I really enjoyed this video, as I always enjoy your content. But in some of your renovation vlogs I noticed a wording that leaves a bitter taste: the term "master bedroom" has this colonial connotation of rooms for "masters" and "slaves"/"servants". And that's certainly not what you want to convey!
    Maybe the terms "main" or "primary" bedroom would suit as well?
    (No criticism, just a thought)

    • @dees3179
      @dees3179 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually it’s never been a term that had thing to do with colonialism as it wasn’t used until far later (twentieth century). Not sure where you made that connection. Many people in Europe use the term main bedroom now and have done for a long time. You’d probably be more comfortable with that.
      Colonial era but in Europe where Lucy is located the term would have been more likely an equivalent of ‘masters rooms’ as the master would have had more than one room, i.e. a room with a bed, and a room to perform ablutions. Then there would have been the equivalent ‘mistresses rooms’ . Both would have also included at least one room to store their clothes and accessories and perhaps a small private room for withdrawing separate from their sleeping space. They might in these rooms also have a cot bed for an attendant servant each who would sleep there at night but also be on call during particular hours to assist with some tasks. This wouldn’t be the valet/ladies maid, but someone less senior.
      So master bedroom is a similar sounding term to masters rooms, that comes in much much later and refers to a single room only, definitely not colonial era at all.
      Hope that helps. Bit hard to explain concisely in a comments section typing on a phone.

    • @dees3179
      @dees3179 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry, couldn’t go back and check while typing, I can see you suggested main bedroom. Yes, many of us have used that for a long time. It’s estate agents who seem to still use master, probably because their computer templates just default to it.
