    The Honda Grom LED flush mount turn signals from TST Industries fit directly into the headlight cowl without any modifications to your bike. The wires of the signals terminate in bullet connectors. For a true plug and play hook up, you can opt to add our harness converters to further simplify the installation. Hi TJ! If you are planning on connecting these flushmounts without using the harness converter you would want to connect the signals in the configuration below.
      -
      ORANGE PLUG:
      Orange wire - yellow wire
      Green wire - black wire
      -
      BLUE PLUG:

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That depends on what is on your bike. If you have the American model Grom then 3-2 will do it. That is confirmed. We know that manufacturers sometimes use a different connector in other markets so that is why we ask the customer to check the plug on their OEM setup. If you shoot us a photo of your OEM plug we can match it up for you.

    • @TSTindustries

      You most likely caused a short circuit while working on the connections and blew a fuse. Make sure the connections of the signals aren't exposed, change your fuse, and you should be good to go.

  • @theremedyxan
    @theremedyxan 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    what u meant by running light? when addressing the converters

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Front signals of Honda bikes in the American and European markets have three wires. One is ground, one is for turning on signal function (flash), and the last one is for running light (light that stays on when the signal lamps are not signal flashing). By changing OE signals with these (and most) LED signals you are going to a lamp with only one function ---> signaling. So in this scenario you are giving up the running light function. The converters shown in this video are 3-2 type that do not have the third wire in them for running light, making the installation without running light fuunction very simple. For those customers that absolutely must stay with running light functionality, we offer 3-3 converters and an add-on module called Running Mate. We showed that installation procedure in a recent video on the 2022 Grom. I think you will get further clarity on the subject by watching this video: th-cam.com/video/FGyI2VCvaFY/w-d-xo.html

    I did not purchase the connectors how do I wire in the wires?

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On our signals the ground is black, the positive is yellow. On the bike, you have three connections to each signal. Ground is green, signal is solid color (blue or orange depending on side), and then you have the running light which is the color of the signal lead but with a white trace. The running light does not get connected. You tape off those wires and they remain unused. Just make sure they are insulated. So on one side the orange will connect to yellow on our signals. On the other the blue will connect to yellow on our signals. On both sides the green ground from bike will connect to black ground on our signals. The easiest installation of this type uses a snipped off portion of the OEM signal connection retaining the factory plug, and you use the wires in that plug to make the connections I described. Obvipously, you insulate these connections super well so you don't have short circuit problems.

    if they only made a relay to make running lights still work

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      The relay has nothing to do with running light. Signaling and running light are two separate circuits. A signal lamp with two circuits would retain the running light function. These signals are affordable, simple and elegant. We will be working out a more sophisticated signal version that retains running light, but that will come later and will cost more.

      +TSTindustries ok cool will you make like the OTB halo version for the new grom?

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We have our own Halo signals that have been in the market for over 2 years now that we may try to adapt to the new grom. Nothing is set in stone just yet but stay tuned!

      iixVorTeX - Yes. I literally just finished this on my 18. The only difference between then 18 and 19 is different colors for the bike.

      TSTindustries the pop rivet on the bottom of the headlight it wont snap in

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@codyreynolds378 you must have the two sides of the plastic misaligned. Take out the rivet and look through that gole as you manipulate the plastics into alignment. Then replace the rivet.

    Why not running light though? Thats bit dangerous tbh

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Suzuki and Kawasaki don't have running lights in their signals. The running light function is not an industry standard. Our least expensive signal lights do not have running light signals because they are sold universally for many brands on motorcycles.

      That is a story we hear all the time. It seems as though the guys that buy the small and inexpensive bikes end up spending the most to mod them. Me included.

      @@TSTindustries what's the best seat to get. The stock one hurts you too bad after riding curvey roads for 4-5 hours.

    at 5:40 i cant freaking get those 10mm’s off!! they’re stuck

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can use considerable force to get those off as long as you don't transfer that to the painted bodywork piece. You can clamp the outside portion of the signal light in a vice and then use a long handle ratchet with a socket on it to exert enough leverage on that 10mm nut.

    Hey I bought these lights for my grom, but I can't get them to flash!! I have disconnected the running light cable but when I turn the indicator on it stays solid and won't flash

    • @njoyridin3928

      Is this because I don't have that oem relay??

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is correct. Installing an LED Flasher Relay, like the one available on our website, will fix the issue you are running into. It will also correct the rear signals if you ever decide to switch to LED signals or an integrated tail light.
