    The top foods to avoid to support a healthy brain are:
    1. Omega-6 fatty acids (soy oil, corn oil, canola oil, and cottonseed oil)
    2. Sugar
    3. Refined carbs
    The best food to support brain health is wild-caught salmon.
    Wild-caught salmon can help enhance the brain in many ways, including supporting:
    • Memory
    • Focus
    • Thinking
    • Problem-solving
    • Learning
    Thank you Dr Berg!

      He didn't mention walnuts which are a powerful protector of the brain. Any foods that contain luteolin are particularly good. Dr. Berg is good but he misses a lot of things.

      Mackerel in olive oil (EVOO preferred) has massive amount of O3.
      Just be careful it's from N Atlantic and it's not king mackerel (top of food chain)

      Did you know that arugula has more calcium and zinc than kale? It's also nutritionally equal to kale in iron and magnesium and has fewer carbohydrates and naturally occurring sugars.

    I just got back from the Great Minnesota State Fair (again!) and spent a small fortune on an extra virgin olive oil where the owners of the booth farm the olives in a region next to the Mediterranean Sea. Hey Doc, I applied a lot of Ur tips in lowering cholesterol. Well, I got my bloodwork done & it is excellent. I also went from 270lbs to 205lbs & feel like I’m in my 20s again. I accomplished this all within 10 months. The doctor wanted me to go on medication originally to lower my cholesterol which I turned it down. Well the bottom line, Ur tips worked. Thank you & God bless you!

      What were the tips for lowering cholesterol?

    • @joeharm8141
      @joeharm8141 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He has videos about lowering cholesterol. How specific do U want me to explain? This is what I sort of did:
      -I didn’t eat after 6pm (fast)
      -I ate 2x a day , 10am/5:30pm
      -I went on the stationary bike for 30min to the point I was drenched in sweat. (5 or 6 days out of the week)
      -I always biked at night when my Kids slept , slept well afterwards
      -I STAYED away from bread, pasta, chips, snacks, & alcohol
      -I tried to increase the protein, chicken , steak, fish, pork , & eggs
      -always ate greens with meals
      -ate healthy fats
      -oatmeal
      -organic olive oil & apple cider vinegar
      -pistachios & cashews
      -I also applied a David Goggins mindset
      -I also did some push-ups , curls, & sit ups & eventually pull ups
      -30 minutes exercise is key , get the blood flowing
      -but the bottom line what worked for me might not work for U…
      -don’t give up & never give in

    lately as a result of all this keto talk, i have been buying wild-caught lox (salmon) and just eating it as it is, without anything accompanying it. that may sound odd, but really, it tastes great and is sooooooo satisfying, which kind of makes sense since it may be the most nutrient-dense food on the entire planet. about its only drawback is that it is rather expensive, so i eat only a few ounces of the stuff maybe once every two weeks or so

    I gave up meat for 7 years but still ate fish which was mainly wild & salmon the most I ate but I ended up with lots of neurological issues to the point of experiencing MS/Parkinsons/FND symptoms amongst many others. Within 2-3 months of returning to eating meat especially grass fed beef my symptoms improved massively though I still get some tingling in my left hand so I am not sure that Salmon is the No1 brain food for everyone.

    • @kesia1763
      @kesia1763 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@karstenburger9031 I don't know if the neurologist checked for those and I had lots of tests to determine what was causing it but all she could determine it wasn't MS etc. When walking it was like a sketch from the Monty Pythons 'Ministry of Silly Walks' it was so bizarre along with so many falls it was like I was a rag doll🥲. Both of my hands were so numb on my little fingers & index fingers from the tips to my wrists but that has improved ten fold too along with numerous other symptoms I was experiencing. But when my body got it's nutrients from the meat consumption again it started to right itself and I still continued to eat fish in my diet as I had previously which is usually about 2-3 times a week. I always try to only eat wild caught but I am sure that in todays world that probably is badly poisoned too🥲

      Possibly heavy metals like mercury which has high concentrations in Wild fish. So while I agree with Dr. Berg fish might not be a solution for everyone, stick to land based pasture or wild animals. Eat Organic eggs it's the single most healthiest most bioavailable superfood for your brain this side of the Animal Kingdom😂

    Dr Berg, 100% because of YOUR videos, i will start buying grass fed beef AND i will check out the local butchers to see if they have fresh wild caught salmon. (The local supermarket only has the canned stuff with added sugar/vegetable oils). I thought the butchers was too expensive, but its worth investing in our health now to avoid all the prescription medications the doctors will only insist we "need" later on.

    Hello Dr Berg
    I am dr Nilima from India. I am 40 years old, height 5'2" and mother of 2 teens and have no metabolic disorder. I have lost 10 kg weight 5 years back. Then lost 7 kg weight on grainless diet, 2 years back after watching you. Thank you very much dr berg. Now I am 65 kg still on grainless diet and doing 16 to 18 hours intermittent fasting. I am pure vegetarian and do 30 minute exercise daily. My problem is that I have tendency to gain weight even on this diet. I have done one 80 hours and one 100 hours water fast in the month of April this year. Lost 2 kg but regained in 3 months. I want to loose 5 kg more. But only able maintain with this strict diet. I want some permanent solution to increase my metabolism. Please guide
    Should I do long fast monthly ??
    Should I increase workout ??
    Should I do strict keto n stop eating fruits ??
    Thanks and Regards

    EMERGENCY PLEASE HELP DR BERG 🙏..
    my wife has HS and she's been suffering in a lot of pain, she has flair up boils under her arm pits, n now recently on the vulva.. please dr Berg to me u are the smartest man on this planet n a God send.. whatever advice u give will be worth gold to us. My wife also has PCOS n endometriosis.. but the pain she is feeling in her private parts is so hard for me to watch! Can u please make a video on what ppl with HS should do? N how they can prevent the boils from spreading n coming back 🙏 please n thank you. Much love to u sir, u r a F-in genius n that is an understatement to what u r in my eyes!!

    • @SpamMouse
      @SpamMouse ปีที่แล้ว +1

      By HS I will guess you mean Hidradenitis Suppurativa. If so your wife has our sympathies, it's a very unpleasant condition without a defined single cause. I hear that loosing excess body-fat and stopping smoking are the first medical recommendations, personally I wonder if there is not an allergic reaction at play as well. With that in mind removing any foods or chemicals within your environment that can cause a skin reaction would be wise. Both PCOS and Endometriosis are made worst by inflammation (running through my head when thinking of HS too.) so keeping a detailed food diary would help isolate any foods (include ingredients) that are effecting her body. If possible explore fasting and then introduce limited foods ONE at a time to find any allergens. Follow the guidance in these videos: www.youtube.com/@DrEricBergDC/search?query=pcos%20 Also despite the urge to be "clean" I might suggest not over washing and avoiding soaps for a period of time to isolate them as possible triggers, many people over-clean themselves causing skin problems by removing natural oils. Good luck.

    • @varunsachdeva5139
      @varunsachdeva5139 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes that's exactly what she has HS.. thank you so much for your help!! 🙏 very very much appreciated!! We are gonna try n note down after she eats.. the problem is we read so many ppls veiws, n so many things had to be dropped by fixing this, for example yeast, dairy, sugar, rice, wheat, all carbs, night shade vegetables.. we are east indian n what i mentioned above is pretty much everything we eat in our home.. i just wish we knew which of the list is what's bothering her n making her flare up instead of giving everything up.. its so sad, I've seen her cry n say she will give up everything cause it hurts for her to even walk.. i hope nobody has to go through this.. just breaks my heart to see my girl go through this, she's the kindest soul I've ever met n I'm blessed to have her!! We will go through this together, hopefully we can pinpoint out what she needs to eat.. she's got a million bottles of supplements from vitamin D, zinc, magnesium, burberine, tumeric n black pepper etc etc.. what to eat, n most importantly what NOT to eat is what we gotta figure out, cause eating all these pills cant be good for u either..

    I honestly may never stop doing carnivore! My mood is better and my digestion is improving, especially since I dropped the Erythritol and the Seltzer from the diet, recently.
