At Chick-fil-A, many times I’ll use my points for a free cookie and tell them to give it to the car behind me in the drive thru and tell them I said “have a great day”! Spreading some joy for free! 😃
At one point when I didn't eat meat, I ordered a salad from Chick-fil-A and told them no chicken and they gave me a discount. Every other fast food place I would go to that had salad I would still be charged as if I had bought it with the meat and they weren't nearly as good as the Chick-fil-A salad either!
Was coming to say this. Tip number one should have been ‘Don’t buy fast-food!’ I’ve had fast-food twice in 7 months and once was my roommate bringing it home for me. The amount of money I saved is ridiculous! Most my fellow employees eat out every workday. With a lowball of spending $5 (which is near impossible and avg number of working days/month of 21) if you stopped that’s $105! Now think how many meal portions you can make with $5! Take simple spaghetti with meat: ground beef $4/lb (yes even with current inflation prices and I’m in California); spaghetti noodles $1.60, pasta sauce $3 (even cheaper if you make your own). That’s a total of $8.60 and you get a minimum of 4 servings so $2.15/serving.
The Panera deal is excellent, if you use it. I went 2-3 times a day regularly all school year because I worked between two schools and Panera was on my way in, between the two schools during my lunch and travel time, and on my way home! Some days I'd get a tea in the afternoon, and sometimes I would get my coffee for the morning, and then treat my colleague to the fresh one in the morning!
I always get the bowl from Chipotle and get a few extra salsa on the side. First thing I do is divide the bowl in 40/60 (cuz I can't seem to stop at half!). The smaller portion I don't eat comes to work with me along with the extra salsa. This wasn't part of the video, but my girls LOVE the Domino's chicken alfredo with bacon. They cost $5.99 if you do carryout. I boil some penne ahead to stretch the dish more. It's still the same great taste but feeds more mouths!
Sorry this is so long after the video...I hope it is worth sharing. When using the Chick-Fil-A app, never use points to pay for a combo meal. They charge 2500 points for the meal, but if you add the components to the order separately and use points for them it is considerably less. That probably depends on the particular order, but for example I know a spicy chicken sandwich, med fries and large drink are around 1600 points, not the 2500 you would use for the 'combo meal.'
Wow - I can't believe you didn't mention this at Chipotle - black beans & brown rice. It's a Ramsey Solution mantra! They give you a generous portion, you add the heat with their smoke sauce. It's considered 'two sides' and it's about $2. It's my go-to when I'm at the office and I've forgotten my lunch.
Always order from a fast food app because there are always deals and freebies that you can’t get otherwise. Sit in the parking lot, place your app order, then pick it up from the drive thru or inside if you want to eat there.

If you ask for a meal, we ring it up as a "meal" but if you ask for a small fry we have to ring it individually so you don't get the "meal" price. If you ask for a small drink in a meal (Excluding lemonade because it's an upcharge) the small is the same price as a medium drink. 3. If you don't want a drink, but you want an entree and fries, don't buy the drink! This sounds obvious, but people think it's cheaper to get the "meal" when in reality if you don't want the drink, you don't pay for it. So don't get a drink if you don't want it! That's all for now! The Panera Bread coffee sip club is free for 3 months. I’ve canceled and a couple days later get an email invite for another 3 months of free coffee. It has been over a year and I haven’t paid for my daily coffees. I believe the strategy is if you get free coffee you will buy a bagel or something to eat as well. I can’t resist the cinnamon crunch bagel sometimes.
Mine goes along with Starbucks. Don’t waste money on a peppermint white mocha. Just ask for a grande iced coffee with half and half and add in peppermint flavoring and white mocha sauce. I sub iced coffee for whatever the seasonal latte is. Bonus it’s only a 50 star reward because it’s coffee compared to 150 for a signature drink. Make the stars last longer!

Most of these tips are great! Just be aware that sometimes light ice doesn't mean more liquid at Starbucks, because there is a recipe they follow. Sometimes it just means space at the top of your cup. However, whenever they, or anyone else, has a special where you need to buy two, I ask for no ice so I can refrigerate it for later and it won't be watered down. I do this with my Panera subscription, too, if I sit there and work for 2+ hours, I take the next drink home with me for later or the next day.
My husband and I get kids meals at Culver's. Comes with free scoop ticket for 1 scoop Custard with one topping. We save Scoopie Tokens and after we have 10 we get a free meal and treat ourselves to cheese curds. At Red Robin, we get one hamburger meal and 'monster' it to get 2 patties and we split it. 😁
Yeah! We collect the scoopie tokens as well. If you’re really feeling bold, check out the trash in the restaurant and snag some unclaimed tokens. We may or may not have done that discretely a few times 😅
At McDonald's, I always order the Daily Double. It is in their computer, but most employees don't know it's there. It is a double hamburger, but with all the veggies. Add small fries and the Dollar drink.
At 5 guys burgers, ask them to put the fries in a separate bag. Not the same bag at your burgers. Most of the time they’ll dump more in than normal. So if you order a small you may end up medium etc. Just watch out for a very oily bag lol

At some gas stations they have Pizza Hut warmer stations they serve personal pizzas and other meals. I know it sounds questionable, but the pizzas are reasonably priced ($6-7 for personal pizza) and they taste good.
I have a family of 8. We can eat Panda Express on occasion by ordering two bigger plates. You get one side and three entrees. Then we just add 3 sides of rice from the a la cart; sometimes we add cream cheese rangoon or spring rolls. All the adults and teen Agee’s end up with an entree and side and then we divide the remaining entrees and sides between the littles. It’s plenty of food to divide up between everyone it comes out to be less than several of the Mc Donald’s type fast food places. (What happen to their affordable menus anyway?!)
Go to Costco and eat their hot dogs from the vendor. You don't even need the Costco card because you walk in the opposite direction of the entrance to get there. Best food hack!
Chick-fil-A hack. I’m a mom of four boys and the three youngest all like coke. So I order 2 6 piece meals with coke that they all share. Then I get the spicy deluxe meal and give them the fries and give my oldest the drink. Always light ice. My hubby who’s a foot taller than me and has a huge appetite doesn’t hold back though😂😂😂

You missed my favorite panera hack! They have the family feast. It's $30 and you get 4 sammies, big salad, big soup, and a whole baguette. Otherwise it costs $30 for just me and my husband to have a meal at panera, so might as well get twice the amount of food and take it home
Hack: When you order a hot fudge sundae anywhere, order the hot fudge on the side. They give you more and it stays hot if you put some on your spoon and then get a spoon of ice cream. Don't pour it on the ice cream.

We can eat (2people) at Texas Roadhouse for $28. Just order full rack of ribs comes with 2 sides… and we always have enough to take home. Just order waters.
Fun fact if I work at chick fil a and if you order no salt during a rush your fry’s are gonna hold up every on one line for 4 minutes so if you have any kind curtsy don’t order no salt unless you have a medical problem
yes i work at a diffrent fast food place and after i hand out the bag "can i have some salt packages please" some do say i share with some one that can have salt
An alternative is to get ready to eat stuff at the grocery store. Sometimes you can find rotisserie chicken as an example, but of course you can purchase sandwich bread and meat. I love to carry a drink in an insulated cup.. A water gallon is usually less than a dollar too.
Some places will take money off for saying 'no drink' with your combo meal. Zaxby's (an 'other' chicken place) will take about a dollar off your order. Then, get a cup of water.
When my husband and I go to Panera we will order 1 whole sandwich and 1 whole soup or salad and make our own pick 2's. It's less money than 2 pick 2's.
Best hack advice for getting free meals at place? Just work at the fast food, cafe, or restaurant you want to get free food at. I work at cafe Rio and each day I work there I get a free meal on my break every time. They also give me an in app credit of 30 dollars every month to use at any of there locations. They also have a survey where you can get free desert every time you fill it out and no purchase is required to get the free desert after filling out the survey.
Thank you George for pointing out that Chipotle is not authentic. Literally the only reason I don’t like to eat there, even though the bowls are good 👍 I would just rather spend money on real Mexican food instead.
even more if ask for packs of salt when you hand out the food. Some have reason one person can have salt but the other can and do want to get them mix up, but most just ask for fresh it takes more time and steps for a no salt.
Haha The Ritz at Chick-Fil-A…. I like Chick Fil-A but there service is not good at the one by my home😄 they have made us wait for a slice of cheese for 20 minutes twice when they forgot it . They would walk around telling someone else to get it instead of anyone getting it. I almost got it myself🙃

i worked at chick fil a and if you don’t order chicken you are just paying for the base salad so all of the “goodies” so it is cheaper!
Unfortunately for me restaurants never gave a discount when ordering sandwiches without turkey, cheese, bacon etc.
For those who are gluten free, you can order no bun sub lettuce wrap and that will reduce price too!

My hack is to always order using the app when I am leaving wherever to go get the food. And If I get a drink I always order lite ice. I usually order water at CFA.
Chick-fil-A has a 30 count nugget for 12.99 that’s not on the menu… I have 5 kids!
We can eat (2people) at Texas Roadhouse for $28. Just order full rack of ribs comes with 2 sides… and we always have enough to take home. Just order waters.
Fun fact if I work at chick fil a and if you order no salt during a rush your fry’s are gonna hold up every on one line for 4 minutes so if you have any kind curtsy don’t order no salt unless you have a medical problem
yes i work at a diffrent fast food place and after i hand out the bag "can i have some salt packages please" some do say i share with some one that can have salt

This is not a money saving hack, but chick fila will make any soda "frosted" and basically add ice cream and blend it. Dr pepper is the best 😋

An alternative is to get ready to eat stuff at the grocery store. Sometimes you can find rotisserie chicken as an example, but of course you can purchase sandwich bread and meat. I love to carry a drink in an insulated cup.. A water gallon is usually less than a dollar too.

Some places will take money off for saying 'no drink' with your combo meal. Zaxby's (an 'other' chicken place) will take about a dollar off your order. Then, get a cup of water.

When my husband and I go to Panera we will order 1 whole sandwich and 1 whole soup or salad and make our own pick 2's. It's less money than 2 pick 2's.
I have two young kids and I have them split a 8 pieces chicken with lemonade and an extra cup. It’s cheaper and less waste.
McDs Hot fudge sundae with m & m or oreo topping. Much cheaper than a Mcflurry.

Best hack advice for getting free meals at place? Just work at the fast food, cafe, or restaurant you want to get free food at. I work at cafe Rio and each day I work there I get a free meal on my break every time. They also give me an in app credit of 30 dollars every month to use at any of there locations. They also have a survey where you can get free desert every time you fill it out and no purchase is required to get the free desert after filling out the survey.
Subway - don’t order the protein bowl, tell them you want your “sub in a bowl” automatic $2-3 saved

Thank you George for pointing out that Chipotle is not authentic. Literally the only reason I don’t like to eat there, even though the bowls are good 👍 I would just rather spend money on real Mexican food instead.
I think it upsets the workers when you ask for no salt. Don't know for sure but it would annoy me.🤣
even more if ask for packs of salt when you hand out the food. Some have reason one person can have salt but the other can and do want to get them mix up, but most just ask for fresh it takes more time and steps for a no salt.
Haha The Ritz at Chick-Fil-A…. I like Chick Fil-A but there service is not good at the one by my home😄 they have made us wait for a slice of cheese for 20 minutes twice when they forgot it . They would walk around telling someone else to get it instead of anyone getting it. I almost got it myself🙃
