Thank you! They are growing so well this year! Last year I didn’t even get one. I love the steam canner-my water bath canner may be a storage container from now on 😜
Those are going to be great! I've never seen this style of canner before, very interesting. We have a regular water batch and a pressure canner. this seems somewhere in the middle. Cool!
Kathy! I’m so glad I found this video. I just got a steam canner which says on the box for jams and jellies. I haven’t even looked inside for the user manual lol. Because hey, don’t we all trust TH-cam university more than we trust user manuals LOL. But I have a basket full of banana peppers that I need to can and I wasn’t sure if you could do anything in the steam canner other than fruits. So I was glad to see that you can do vegetables in there as well. Of course I know it doesn’t replace the pressure canner for low acid foods. Oh, also, I posted a tour of my garden and pallet fencing on TH-cam yesterday. I’m not good at filming or talking so don’t judge 😂. Hope you enjoy my garden tour though. Love and God bless. 😘Carol
Those peppers are so pretty! I'm finally getting a moment to make a comment. I'll have to try those next year because I love pretty things in the garden
I can't wait to try this. I'm planting Murasaki peppers this year and a I have a multi canner (steam or water bath). Please let us know how they tasted! Thanks for the video!
Haven’t tried steam canning yet. Jesse James homestead in Brainerd has demonstrated a new kind of pressure canner. The garden has kept me moving every day. Almost almost looking forward to fall/ winter. Going to try growing micro greens this winter.
Perfect timing! Im harvesting banana peppers today. Yours are gorgeous. Btw: I said Hi to you last night on Brett and Amy’s live. Im a slow typer, I don’t think you saw my response to you. Anyway, Im here now, saying hello sweetie! 👋🏼

Ty Cathy. The peppers look great and I got to see the steamer in action. It is on my list of things to get. Can't wait to hear how you liked them!!
Thanks!! They smelled great when I put them together, but I’m letting them sit for a couple weeks to really get that pickling action going 🌶
Going to try this Thank you for sharing

Thanks 😊. I love it! It’s the same time as processing water bath canning, just uses far less resources.
Great video, I can’t wait to see how they taste for you 🌸
Thanks! Me neither 😋

Yum, I love garlic so I bet those will be delish.
The recipe says it’s most like Subway’s peppers. It’s smells wonderful!
Those would surely win at the state fair...ifen we had one this year? Nice job explaining the steam canning.
Thanks! That’s a high compliment indeed 🥰
Fantastic!

They are a sweet pepper, much like the banana ones, and canned up great!
