I had the pleasure of hanging out with Roger and the band several times back in the 80's as a club DJ and through my other job as a DJ at a local radio station in Dayton, Ohio. I remember going to Roger's studio on Salem Avenue . Very cool guy. One of the best funk bands ever. Of course, Dayton produced a lot of great funk bands: Zapp, Lakeside, Slave, The Ohio Players and many more.
I remember watching the first two songs of this show when I was like 14 yrs old on youtube. It's so incredible coming back to this after so long now that i'm 24. Such a legend, have to thank youtube for introducing me to his music.
